"Haha! You call this a challenge?"

Suddenly realizing the peril Glenn was in, Rogar helps the small frog-man to his feet.

"The pointy bits are the ones you need to avoid, little one..."

With no Pathfinders currently in mortal danger, Rogar forges on.

As he passes the hobgoblin corpses Krolmnite remarks, I bet, these hobgoblins are just the henchmen; I doubt they are smart enough to pull all of this off.

Trix rushes up to see if anyone was still injured from the fight to see Glenn already behind healed by Constantin's wand. "I'm so sorry, Glenn! I could not see what was going on in the battle. Are you okay?"

I've got 5 channels that we can use after battles if you want to conserve your wands. If I'm a little too slow to respond, feel free to bot Trix with a use of her Channel Energy, I don't mind!

The door opens without a hassle and you look upon a combination office/bedroom, as you have seen in the towers of the cathedral. Hanging on the walls are blades and weapons from various places and times from all around the Inner Sea and beyond. Of more immediate concern are the three people hanging from ropes in the center of the room. Their toes barely touching the bench underneath them, they struggle to keep breathing. Next to them, a hobgoblin in armor wielding a spiked chain smirks. In a nearby corner, an elderly man lies unconscious.

The hobgoblin chuckles, before viciously kicking the bench out from underneath his victims.

Yes, the ropes are secured to one of the ceiling beams. Shooting the rope will mean you need to hit an AC of 10. As for harness and hit points, it's a standard rope.

If you control the trailing rope by succeeding on an opposed Strength check while holding it, the entangled creature can move only within the limits that the rope allows. If the entangled creature attempts to cast a spell, it must make a concentration check with a DC of 15 + the spell's level or be unable to cast the spell.

An entangled creature can escape with a DC 20 Escape Artist check (a full-round action). The net has 5 hit points and can be burst with a DC 25 Strength check (also a full-round action). A net is useful only against creatures within one size category of you.

If the hobgob fails this reflex save, picking up his weapon would be a pretty worthy use of the turn if the hostages are safe.

Shoot. Thanks for reminding me. I'll roll that reflex save right now. Trixalqana, it looks like the people who are on the ground are OK. They are in arms reach of Halga and prone, but otherwise they seem to be OK, breathing on their own and groaning.

Reflex Save: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

"You are lubricating my weapon quite well. I will relish shoving it down your %$#, you %#$%#@ %$#$%$%" taunts the weakening hobgoblin.

Krolmnite steps to his right and fires an earth blast of the prone man right at the cocky hobgoblin.

I bet your mother wouldn't like to hear you talk that way. He tries his best to taunt back.

Earth blast + IC/fb into melee: 1d20 + 4 + 1 + 1 - 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 + 1 + 1 - 4 = 7
damage + IC/fb + Inspired Rage: 1d6 + 5 + 1 + 1 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 12

Halga whips his chain around once more, attempting to take down the warrior facing him!

Spiked chain vs Rogar: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (16) + 7 = 23
Damage: 2d4 + 3 ⇒ (3, 1) + 3 = 7

In spite of the poison coursing through his veins, he still manages to score a hit across the Ulfen's throat!

Fort save (For Glenn's turn): 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18

"The wind blew at our sails, propelled us ahead. But we saw the fin in the water, easily as large as the mast. We had to keep rowing, keep trying, never giving up or we were as good as dead."

Aquavius maintains her Inspired Rage. Inspired by Constantin's banner and Rogar's tactics, she tries to cut into the hobgoblin.

Scimitar, Inspired Rage, Banner, Rogar: 1d20 + 0 + 1 + 2 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 0 + 1 + 2 + 1 = 11
Damage: 1d8 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 1 + 2 = 11

"Bah, hold still so I can think up a good ending."
