"Haha! You call this a challenge?"
Suddenly realizing the peril Glenn was in, Rogar helps the small frog-man to his feet.
"The pointy bits are the ones you need to avoid, little one..."
With no Pathfinders currently in mortal danger, Rogar forges on.

![]() |

As he passes the hobgoblin corpses Krolmnite remarks, I bet, these hobgoblins are just the henchmen; I doubt they are smart enough to pull all of this off.
He continues to follow along.

![]() |

The corridor snakes it's way along to a solid wooden door. To the right side of the door a plaque reads: [Private].

![]() |

Trix rushes up to see if anyone was still injured from the fight to see Glenn already behind healed by Constantin's wand. "I'm so sorry, Glenn! I could not see what was going on in the battle. Are you okay?"
I've got 5 channels that we can use after battles if you want to conserve your wands. If I'm a little too slow to respond, feel free to bot Trix with a use of her Channel Energy, I don't mind!

![]() |

Krolmnite whispers ahead, I bet private doesn't count in a case like this Rogar, go ahead and see what's behind that door

![]() |

Once Rogar posts on how he plans on opening the door, I'll proceed onto the climax! Tuhn-tuhn-TUHN!

![]() |

"Private, eh? Better take a look, then."
Rogar tries to open the door.

![]() |

The door opens without a hassle and you look upon a combination office/bedroom, as you have seen in the towers of the cathedral. Hanging on the walls are blades and weapons from various places and times from all around the Inner Sea and beyond. Of more immediate concern are the three people hanging from ropes in the center of the room. Their toes barely touching the bench underneath them, they struggle to keep breathing. Next to them, a hobgoblin in armor wielding a spiked chain smirks. In a nearby corner, an elderly man lies unconscious.
The hobgoblin chuckles, before viciously kicking the bench out from underneath his victims.

Surveying the scene he doubts he can get up high enough to cut loose the poor captives.
Oh my, oh my! Somebody cut them loose! I bet this won't end well.

![]() |

Trix also rushes into the room, directly behind Krolmnite! "Krolmnite, can you break the ropes at the beam?"
To what exactly are the ropes tied? Is it a ceiling beam?

![]() |

Yes, the ropes are secured to one of the ceiling beams. Shooting the rope will mean you need to hit an AC of 10. As for harness and hit points, it's a standard rope.
Rogar and Ivar lunge at the creature, but he manages to deflect the blows against him. Snarling, he attempts to return the favor.

If you hit, the target is entangled. An entangled creature takes a –2 penalty on attack rolls and a –4 penalty on Dexterity, can move at only half speed, and cannot charge or run. If you control the trailing rope by succeeding on an opposed Strength check while holding it, the entangled creature can move only within the limits that the rope allows. If the entangled creature attempts to cast a spell, it must make a concentration check with a DC of 15 + the spell's level or be unable to cast the spell.
An entangled creature can escape with a DC 20 Escape Artist check (a full-round action). The net has 5 hit points and can be burst with a DC 25 Strength check (also a full-round action). A net is useful only against creatures within one size category of you.

If the hobgob fails this reflex save, picking up his weapon would be a pretty worthy use of the turn if the hostages are safe.

Shoot. Thanks for reminding me. I'll roll that reflex save right now. Trixalqana, it looks like the people who are on the ground are OK. They are in arms reach of Halga and prone, but otherwise they seem to be OK, breathing on their own and groaning.
