I would've stayed half way to the top of the stairs, waiting for the sneaky ones to lure them up the stairs. Bash is knowledgeable enough to know not to move down the stairs in his loud armor alerting the baddies.
Also, have my shield equipped so AC 21, and a spear at the ready to throw at 1st baddie that comes within 30 foot range

GM Captain Trips |

Ok, back from my crazy work issues. If I understand this correctly Bash is waiting back on the stairs, ready to throw a spear. Miri and Ruke are in stealth and preparing surprise attacks, the door opened enough to allow for ranged attacks.
Ruke fires a bolt of fiery energy at the clawed undead creature, connecting with the beast a burning a hole into its chest. The flames sizzle and pop, but the creature feels no pain in its undead state.
Miri, go ahead with your sneak attack. Both you and Ruke will get to go before the following initiative order.
Initiative Rolls:
Bash: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9
Miri: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19
Ruke: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Birgit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Bash: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17
Man: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (20) - 1 = 19
Undead: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (10) + 2 = 12
Once Miri makes her surprise attack Ruke and Miri will be free to act. The man and undead creature will still be flatfooted for their attacks.

Ruke strides forward to,the undead and chants a pray to his diety. His hand glows silver as he touches the undead and imbues it with positive energy.
Cast defensively to avoid AoO 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
Cure light wounds: melee touch 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (20) + 5 = 25
Crit confirmation 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Positive energy 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Potential extra crit damage 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

GM Captain Trips |

Miri stabs into the creature again, wounding it slightly. Ruke blasts the creature with positive energy, wracking its form and sending it falling to the ground in a smoking heap.
The man, outraged at his minion being destroyed, screams into the air and begins laughing like a maniac, "Groetus take you all! He will feast upon your bones! Muhahaha"
The man focuses inward, drawing his unholy symbol from his neck, and sends a wave of unholy energy rippling outward.
Negative Energy Channel: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Miri Will Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13
Ruke Will Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Ruke takes 2, Miri takes 1, negative energy damage
Bash, Birgit, and Seika are up!

I forgot to add my attack roll, oops, after I moved on the map
attack javelin: 1d20 + 2 - 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 - 2 = 6 -4 if in melee
damage: 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

GM Captain Trips |

Bash hurls a javelin at the cleric, missing by a wide margin but closing the distance between himself and the enemy.
Seika fires off an arrow at the man, hoping to end the fight quickly...
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (14) + 5 = 19
Damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
...and the arrow slams home, piercing the man's shoulder and sending him into a tirade of curses.
Ruke and Miri are up!

![]() |

Ruke will move around behind the cleric. He waves his dagger around and threatens to poke.
Aid Another attempt for Miri 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 2 = 9
oh well, I tried to aid anyway

GM Captain Trips |

As Miri circles around she finds an opening for her strike, driving her rapier between a crease in the man's armor and finding the soft flesh beneath. He shudders as the weapon pierces his heart, stealing the life from his eyes and sending him falling to the floor.
End Combat
Half of the crates in this room are marked with gigantic red X’s, painted on with a wide brush. The supplies include flour, grains, sugar, coffee, tea, dried goods, and so on—everything the cult needs to supply its operations. The cells to the south contain citizens held captive who all thank the party profusely for helping them and tell tales of dark- or gray-skinned humanoids with enormous gray eyes who came frequently to negotiate with the cleric you defeated, before buying a handful of captives and taking them from the room. Where these creatures took them, the captives don’t know.
This concludes the scenario. Let me know if you have any faction related tasks or questions before we wrap up. I'll need everyone to check the discussion thread for details so I can get your chronicle sheets to you.

Is one if the captives my snot-nosed brat I need to dunk?
Do any of you know when the next visit by the gray skinned people are. I would love to have a chat with them about their business plan.
Away from earshot of the captives, when it is just himself and the other party members, Looks like this cult problem isn't gonna go away. Maybe they can give us some insight if where to go next. Either that or we can go consult the man himself Mr. Teppish.
I didn't know if we were calling it quits or continuing with part 2

I thought I asked if the snot nosed brat was there, lol oh well
EDIT: I did lol page 5. 9th post from the bottom. The DM spoiler tag :)

We all miss things from time to time, no worries. I think this went rather well actually since it was my first pathfinder adventure :)
