Ruke steps behind Bash and casts Shield of faith.

"Here you go. May the Dawnflower protect you"

Gobbo!

Miri twirls her sling above her head and launches a bullet at the woman, but the missile sails wide and slams into the hull of the ship. Ruke steps up and casts a divine spell on Bash, protecting him from physical attacks.

Seika comes up from below and steps out to the side of the ship. Taking aim at the woman she fires her bow...

Seika Attack: 1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (12) + 4 - 2 = 14

...the missile connects, but bounces harmlessly off of the woman's plate armor, failing to find a seam to penetrate.

Birgit is still up!

Gobbo!

Going to wait until noon today, and then I will move this along. Haven't seen Birgit post since Thursday and I need to be a little more adherent to my "regular poster" rule.

Gobbo!

Birgit whispers a word in her native tongue and sends her arcane magic at the woman in plate...

Will Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

The magic once again refuses to take hold, the woman shaking off the effect of the hex.

The woman steps forward, pointing her finger at the witch, and incants an unholy phrase...

Casting Cause Fear at Birgit
Will Save DC 13: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (19) + 3 = 22

The spell lands and Birgit's mind is flush with panic, but the panic subsides after a moment.

Birgit is shaken for one round.

The undead creature shambles forward, taking a swing with its fists at Bash...

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22
Confirmed, ick.
Damage: 2d6 + 8 ⇒ (4, 3) + 8 = 15

The zombie lands a staggering blow to Bash, sending him reeling. While not enough to drop the exceptionally tough fighter, he appears to be in very bad shape...

Gobbo!

The party is up!

To keep this moving forward, I am going to keep to my rule of one post per day from this point forward. I will bot anyone that doesn't respond within the allotted time. It isn't fair for everyone else to wait on people. If you are botted three times before the end of this adventure you will be considered an unsatisfactory participant and will not get a chronicle sheet. One post per day is not too much to ask.

All the stories Chasik heard as a young boy about the undead, live up to the tales. Shield at the ready, plated in armor, still it isn't enough as the zombie seems to find the very opening Chasik cannot cover up, his neck. The wretched undead, rips flesh from Chasik's neck, causing blood to gush forth from his jugular. Chasik almost falls from the single blow, but catches himself...barely. He looks at the zombie, and looks past to the undead controller, that is his goal. Get to her and return the favor.

I can't tell when Ruke goes now, I thought it was after Bash. Anyway, when it is Ruke's turn...

Ruke continues to stand behind Bash (and will move if Bash moves forward) and casts a spell on him.

Ruke casts Cure Light Wounds
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 HPs healed

Gobbo!

Since you all are all lumped together in initiative it is ok to take your turn when the party is up. The two NPCs go after your turns, which is right about now.

Bash hammers on his enemy and strikes true, but he notices that the rotting flesh of the beast appeared to absorb a lot of the blunt force transferred from his warhammer, lessening the blow.

Birigt calls out a curse on the cleric...

Will Save: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20

...and the cleric appears slightly shaken, but otherwise seems to shake off a majority of the effect of the curse.

Ruke reaches out and chants a divine prayer, filling Bash with the warmth of his healing magic.

Seika takes aim at the undead creature that slashed Bash so horridly and lets an arrow fly at the beast...

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (20) + 4 = 24
Damage: 1d8 ⇒ 4
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
No confirmation

The arrow sinks deeply into the undead creature's flesh.

The enemies are up!

The zombie, intent on tearing Bash apart, continues its assault...

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

It's first attack misses, but it follows up with a surprisingly fast second swing this time as well...

Zombie has the Quick Strikes (Ex) ability.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19

...and narrowly misses, thanks to the protective spell that Ruke placed upon Bash prior to combat, the divine magic absorbing and deflecting the force of the blow.

The woman screams out in anger and points a finger at Bash while chanting some unholy curse...

Fort Save: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9

...but the hardy fighter resists the spell, his vision clouding for a moment but then returning to normal.

The party is up, take your turns in any order.

Gobbo!

Moving forward, enough time has passed.

Miri cracks the woman on the head with a shot from her sling while Bash furiously beats on the chest of the zombie with his hammer, to no avail.

Birgit moves up into melee with the zombie and slashes out with her dagger lightly wounding it. Ruke fires off a fire bolt at the creature, adding to the combined damage of the rest of the party, and dropping it to the deck.

Seika launches an arrow at the woman behind the boat, connecting and lightly wounding her.

The woman, seething mad that her zombie was destroyed, draws her flail and moves to attack the party.

Double move to her current position.

The party is up.

Miri lets a bullet fly, but the projectile flies wide and misses the mark. Following her lead Seika fires as well.

Attack: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

Seika curses as the arrow bounces off of the woman's armor and does no real damage.

Bash hammers at the cleric with no luck, her flail deflecting the attack and sending it wide.

Gobbo!

Bash and Ruke feverishly attempt to take the woman down, but her armor deflects the blows harmlessly aside.

Birgit mutters an arcane phrase and lets out a piercing scream directed at the cleric, shock waves from the noise rocking the ropes and boards on the deck...

I know the spell description makes it silent to all but the target, but that is a spell I think deserves some extra flavor :)

Fort Save: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

...the noise ruptures the woman's ear drums and leaves her standing there staggered, unable to act.

Birgit can roll the 1d6 damage for the spell and add it to her next action. The cleric is dazed and cannot take her turn, so everyone else is free to take their next turn.

My apologies on this. I was watching this thinking everyone understood what was going on, but I should have been a little more clear. I was wondering why no one else posted a follow up, but I'm guessing it was my fault. Since the woman was dazed, everyone had a free round of actions, but we went back to the top of the order after that.

2. Seika
3. Miri
4. Birgit
5. Woman
6. Zombie
7. Bash

Ruke, Seika, Miri, and Birgit are up once more before she can act.

Ruke missed his calling, he should have been a rogue.

Ruke once again finds a niche in the armor small enough to slip his tiny dagger through, and scores another wound. The woman begins to show signs of slowing down, her body weakening from the numerous small wounds covering her body, blood trickling from the creases of her sturdy armor.

Apart from the captives below you find no one else on the ship.

Searching through the remains of the woman on the top deck you find two potions of cure light wounds, a set of +1 half-plate, and a masterwork heavy flail. You also find a note and a map on her that seems to give directions to a cooper’s warehouse on the south side of the Imperial Naval Shipyards. The note is a love note accompanying the directions and is signed by one Dalirio Teppish.

Knowledge: Local 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22

Gobbo!

The coopers warehouse is not far from your current location, and as far as you are aware it is a legitimate business. The neighborhood isn't exceptionally seedy, but the docks aren't known for their catering to the upper crust of nobility either.

Knowledge on Dalirio Teppish is actually a Knowledge History check if anyone has it trained.
