"That was a Jambala Jaeg warrior, and a Jambala Jaeg knife. We know they made special knives to slay the Tik Taan demons."
Does the kukri have a bone handle and obsidian blade?
He moves to the next door; once everyone is in position he uses Open/Close.

The door to this chamber was once a pane of expensive frosted glass, which now lies in broken shards on the floor. Within several desks lie overturned, papers in disarray, and chairs smashed to kindling. A sturdy steel cabinet sits against the back wall, its doors much battered and dented. The mist here roils near the floor and ceiling, creating a strange patch of visibility stretching from knee-height to a few feet overhead. The smoky tendrils flow up and down the walls unnaturally and savage visages swirl to life, fanged mouths agape, before dissolving into mist once more.

"No, I mean..." Garduk starts to explain to Taman that on his first mission, he and his fellow Pathfinders had to fight a giant four-armed gorilla creature, but gives up and peers into the room himself. "Huh. Looks like an ordinary gorilla. An ordinary, very angry gorilla. Probably because it's hanging from the ceiling of a museum curator's office in the middle of Absalom. But I generally don't study jungle animals unless they've been affected by the arcane in some way. Aroden, Hessavi, why don't you take a look to see if you can recognize anything more than I did."

Didn't roll high enough to get to ask any questions, so if anyone else is trained in Knowledge (nature), please take a shot at it.

Aroden knows just as much as Garduk.
"It is just a poor animal. No doubt driven mad by this curse of Angazhan, brought by the Tik Taan idols. Maybe we don't have to fight it. If we can find the idols and destroy them, the animal may recover."
Aroden uses his Open/Close cantrip to shut the door again.
"Unless any of you have a way to calm the beast."

Garduk thinks for a minute about their situation, then shakes his head. "This doesn't make any sense. There weren't any live animals in the museum this morning, were there? So unless it broke in a window after escaping from the zoo, I don't think it's going to turn back into a friendly not-angry gorilla. And there may be information we need in the office."

Adril Hestram wrote:
"The Blakros Museum is cursed. Some darkness has descended upon the place and those who enter are blasted with evil and left raving through its halls, more beast than men."

He pauses, then adds, "Hells. Maybe the gorilla is actually Nigel? That would explain what it's doing in his office. And why it's so angry."

The demon mist can cause people to change form?!?

He self-consciously tightens the scarf around his face.

"I also do not wish to kill an innocent animal. Especially one who has been enraged by evil magics. I was attacked by a panda once, in similar situations. We incapacitated it, then healed it to make sure it wouldn't die.

This creature, though, looks strong. I have some skill with animals, but calming this beast might take too long, and I don't think I could cut through it's anger before it attacked." No Wild Empathy
