I'm a little confused about the Calm Emotions on Green. Did it have any effect?

At first I thought that it was Pink that was affected. Got the two mixed up. Still, green was actively searching for targets when it should have been calm.

I don't use this spell, so it could easily be a misunderstanding on my part.

Sorry I didn´t read the Big arrow. What I did want to do was killing the red one. And dissplacement does allow stealth, provides concealment, and that allows sneak attack ( sorry if I am wrong)

Shi, if you are not going to flank with Z, I'm thinking of dropping the bow and doing a full move next turn to flank with Z. I'd prefer you to do so. I don't think displacement gives you sneak attack, but what do I know.

Thoughts, anyone?

It not working displacement (concealment)+stealth. It should. Well I will run as I am not doing anything here.
Against most creatures, finding cover or concealment allows you to use Stealth. If your observers are momentarily distracted (such as by a Bluff check), you can attempt to use Stealth. While the others turn their attention from you, you can attempt a Stealth check if you can get to an unobserved place of some kind. This check, however, is made at a –10 penalty because you have to move fast.

Correction. It does not provide concealment, is just "like" concealment.
So I suppose it does not work.
I could have used bluff if I haver read it carefully.

Calm emotions has no effect. It has duration of concentration, by healing Mr Z, I failed to maintain it.


Right, well I think you need to concentrate fire on the one that tongued Rataji until it dies, although if M came into the aisle he could fire at either Green (which was blinded and hopefully still will be), Pink or Blue. Z has shown he can blind them, which would also give sneak attack.

Might help if someone can figure out if any of them are near dead. GM has declared that a heal check.

I just know that when Mr Z has a turn, I'm supposed to have a turn too..other then that I'm not trying to track...its confusing me, init tracking has never been a strong suit of mine.

I wasn't having a problem with the initiative, I just like to get my orders out ASAP so that the game can move along without being delayed by me. In this case, however, I need some results from others first. I'm hoping red will be dead thus eliminating the dilemma I have between going for the kill or setting up a flank.

Since we've all seen it several times now, do the lizards go stony for just an instant or do they stay stoney for a full round?

Also, I don't think Marnarius was ever moved on the map. I know that I have trouble sometimes trying to move things on the map -- it keeps wanting to resize the image rather than move it.

I've moved Marnarius. Not much because it was not necessary, but I have moved him.

@Rataji I'm not sure delaying is a good idea. It is possible you would be pinned by it's next action.

@GM: My profile has a note on Spell Strike that it only works during Mystic Focus. Reading the rules, it seems to me only Bloodline Powers and Spell Combat is restricted. I should still be able to Spell Strike through my weapon even when not in Mystic Focus.

I would like to conserve the point of Arcane Pool if possible. Let me know if Mystic Focus is really required in order for me to deliver a touch spell through my weapon.

Ah, but others might be able to delay in their fight... Hold actions until the stoniness drops, then boom. Fists and saps are both bludgeoning.

To expand on what 322 said:

Z in unconscious so not only will he not be replying but he can't move. Fortunately, you can stand over his limp and dying body.

The lizard was blinded by Z. Even without flank, you get your sneak attack dice because you are effectively invisible to it. I would still suggest you move to flank since the blindness will not last. Move your free 5' towards flank and full attack with sneak attack this round.

If you move, that can give both you and Shihorah flank for sneak attack.

Just as importantly Z, why didn't you quaff a potion when you had a blind lizard there? It would have kept you in the fight.

Hopefully 322 will fix you up soon. M and Shi should be able to take out your lizard.

For my own part, I'm kicking myself for not picking up a light mace. In the end I guess it will not make a difference since she couldn't do enough to get through with a mace.

BTW, M, did you add flank into your attacks? It doesn't help with a natural 1, but might allow the second attack to hit.

Absolutely! That is why I posted the ooc remark to not hate me, hate the character. It's actually pretty difficult to play a bully character for me and makes me quite squeamish. I keep wanting to be nice. I've finally worked up the kutzpah to play Marny more like the author actually intended. Truthfully, I was inspired (and I mean that in a positive way) by some of the other role-players that were not holding back. I figured if they could role-play the nasty side of their characters, nobody would be offended if I did too and I should just get over my squeamishness! And if I'm not up to playing an evil character then why the heck did I sign up for this game of all games?

I've never played as an evil character for very long before. Though I've been drilled a certain expediency when conducting my business.

Away for the rest of the day, and--the characters themselves are merely misunderstood. I mean what's EVIL, but LIVE spelled backwards, and we all wanna live don't we? People can be so judgmental about evil.


If you have trouble knowing the difference between forwards and backwards, I don't want to see you drive.

Marnarius, that is a good point in your OOC.

There is a distinct lack of corners, corridors and alcoves on the map, but I cannot help but feel there must be suitable ambush point just off the map... I did state that I would give my team time to position before I moved. GM, are we limited to this map only?


How about the columns shown along the sides of the corridor, spaced roughly 10 foot apart?

Doors don't tend to be 5' wide, so it may also be possible to use the door frame as cover for stealth.

My position was fine - that statue looked like there was a nice shadow to hide in, so I was fine with the whole matter.

Jack, I thought I cast invisibility here. If I wasn't invisible, my positioning would have been different. I did it before initiative was rolled.

My apologies about silent spell. I've always played spontaneous casters up to this point.
