Charli comes forward, providing commentary on Antoine’s podcast. She climbs up on an empty table so that all can see her. “Friends, you know us. You’ve studied our educational materials eagerly. You’ve come to reside in our former lodge, and made it your home and sanctuary. You know who we are, we’re the Starfinder Society — an organization that stretches across the Pact Worlds and beyond — dedicated to exploration, fellowship, and those in need.”
She brings forward Suulhu-Huur. “This brave member of Manta Corps came to you in fellowship, and you greeted them eagerly as friends —” Then Charli pauses, and locks eyes with Teltham for a moment. “—Or most of you did. For there was a betrayal of the Manta Corps.”
She calls out to Zalvig. “We cooked together, friend! Do you remember this empty bottle that we found?” She holds up the jar of Ertis Oil. “This is a popular spice in my former home in Castrovel, but it’s a deadly poison for aquatic races. It makes them woozy and ill. It interferes with their gills.” Charli looks around the room. “This was used to poison the Kalos who came to you, and then snakes were set upon them. Three were slain, and the fourth, Suulhu-Huur barely survived. She was captured.” Charli points to the footage and the pictures that Antoine took. “She was tortured.”
Charli turns to the others. “But the worse thing that happened was not the betrayal of the Starfinders who came here in friendship. The worst betrayal was of all of you. Your leaders knew that what they were doing was WRONG. How do I know this? Because they LIED. They hid from Zalvig that his kitchen was being used not to nourish, but to poison. They hid from Hinevera and the rest of you that the Kalos were murdered and tortured. Hinevera, remember the fairy tale they told you? Remember how Oshessa claimed that the Manta Corps left in the dead of night? Oshessa and her conspirators betrayed not just us, but each and every one of you — the kindest and most generous hosts I’ve had a pleasure to meet in the Pact Worlds.” Charli reaches out to Irtrine. “Ask this brave guard what happened. She helped us, and she witnessed their treachery first hand!”
Then Charli points at Teltham. “Teltham, I accuse you and Oshessa of betraying your sacred trust. I accuse you of dishonor. I accuse you of violation of the duties of a host and a protector. I accuse you of dishonesty, and I say to you, you are not a fit leader for these valiant morlamaws! They deserve better! You are not WORTHY!”
