Here's how it'll go to avoid confusion. Hopefully this works...

Player's Turn: Description as well as rolls for whatever they wish
GM's Resolution
Player
GM's Turn: Resolution of previous turn as well as creature/enemy turn

Rinse and repeat. I'll be saying who's turn it is during my resolution. Sadly, this means that combat may take a little bit since I have to do resolutions. Hope y'all are ok with this.

Also consider you have our character sheets, so anything that's passive (Saves/Skills/Etc) that are triggered by the enemies, you could just roll on them.

For instance...Player 1,2,3 go. Then a monster with a gaze attack goes. Players 4 & 6 fail their saves when he gets in range, and are out of the fight (paralyzed/dazed/petrified/etc).

You just describe the event as it happened, players 4 & 6 take the bad effects, everyone else scrambles.

Works for me, at least.

Whatever makes it easiest for you, GM. The easier things are for you, the more likely it will work out for all of us.

Same here if possible. I think that might have been the Gm's initial idea with the vault. ~shrugs~ who knows. I do not want one that has been attached to a ghoul for a long time...no offense but think of the gunk that is attached to it. I will try and find a fresh one in the engineering room.

Actually, it was my idea to get you some Pip-Boys of your own.

With them, we can instill the Called Shots alternate rules, and I'll even reduce the penalties for using a Pip-Boy. Again, this is only if you want to.

I really have to get a better melee weapon.

Melee is for weaklings who don't have high powered explosives, or for muscle heads trained in smacking each other.

I'm willing to bet that you'll never see Crispy strike in CC.

I'll make an exception to the rules for a moment. In Fallout, you can shoot at someone when you're right next to them and, if they don't know or feel threatened, they won't attack back until they are ready. So I'll say that you can make attacks with firearms and not provoke. Reloading does, however.

Also, you can make Called Shots now, but you'll be using the regular penalties for them. When you get your Pip-Boys you can make Called Shots at one penalty less, meaning that an Easy shot has no penalty, and Tricky is at a -2, and Challenging is at a -5.

Again, that's only after you get your Pip-Boy.

So I had an idea that would make combat faster as well as more interactive.

In Fallout 3 and NV, when you use VATS (Vault-tec Assisted Targeting System) You can tell how much health an enemy has and how much damage you'd do if you hit them.

I was thinking of giving you guys that chance when you get the Pip-Boys.

When combat starts, I'll provide the HP, Defense Score, and DR of the enemies you'll be facing. That way you guys can do your own thing while I'm away.

I have to work almost all day, and when I'm actually needed to post I'm working the Drive-Thru. So if everyone's ok with this, we can instill it when you get the Pip-Boys.

Don't worry, you'll be getting them pretty soon. And I wouldn't recommend the Pip-Boys the ghouls are wearing. Those things have been around for nearly 100 years, so they probably smell really, really bad.

ugh yeah i hate that first level of rogue when you cant have weapon finesse.

Why can't you have weaon finesse at first level? Last I checked it didn't have a +1Bab prereq.

Go ahead and change out one of your feats for Weapon Finesse.

Anyone can make any changes to their character they wish, but as soon as you reach second lvl, it's set in stone.

oh boy. a ghoul with a gun, and two people (with THOSE rolls) trying to diplomacize him. this will be too funny!! hahahaha

we dont know for sure if he is a vault dweller. we havent been given info on what he is wearing, he could have opened the door as easily as we did and closed it behind him. we might have a scavenger here pretending to be an innocent.

yeah, im just not sure this guy is all he says he is. sounds like he has something to hide. and if its his fault that those guys got turned into ferals, he is giving ghouls a bad name and i dont like that

Are we going to be using any kind of crit/fumble chart in this game? Seems like a fun place to test-bed a lot of the optional rules people seem to be leary of in normal games.

Could be fun- if you roll three 1s in a row, the Mysterious Stranger shows up and shoots you in the crotch.

How does this sound, a fumble is when a weapon past perfect condition is fired or used. On a nat one, the weapon works but with a combat fumble. Melee weapons will fumble on a nat one. When you fumble you roll a d20 with no bonuses, on a 5 or less it is a confirmed fumble.

Fumble chart we will be using Roll a d100 on a confirmed fumble to see what happens.

So Lilith just let me know that she's not feeling too good and she's gonna be DMPC'd for a little while till she's feeling better.

By the way, in case you didn't know, Lilith is my wife. That's how I know so quickly.
