Scab, you find a cap on the ground.
I just realized I never truly changed the Knowledges to fit the world, so I'm doing that now.
Knowledge Arcana will be replaced with Knowledge Science. You can use a Know: Science check to determine fine details on a computer's motherboard, design new weapons/machines, or even just remember something simple like weather patterns.
Knowledge Nobility will be replaced with Knowledge Leadership. Same basic concept as Nobility, but it can be applied to any form of leadership role. Military, Hierarchy, or even just seeing who's giving orders in a skirmish.
Knowledge Planes will be replaced with Knowledge Wastelands. If Know: Nature tells you about Radroaches and Mole Rates, Know: Wastes will tell you about things like Ghouls, Super Mutants, or anything that would have changed physically since the bombs dropped.
I'll give you guys this chance now since we didn't really know it, but if you want to respec your skill points revolving around Knowledges, go for it. You can only use the skill points in Knowledges, nothing else. You can't forget how to swim in order to learn how a Ghoul was created.

changing my Nature to Wastes, and Arcana to Science
also in your description above, some of the Science things sounded a lot like Engineering

On my way to work now but if nothing has happened by the time I get home, scab will move forward

Not sure. The new plan is to make an ignition device to remotely or via a fuse ignite the gas. Once we get to the right place. Depending on any threats that appear.
Marcel the Wise |
Can I ask why they conflict? We're just being asked to mark it, not to steal it; and we're not being asked to ensure that only our marker is placed upon it. Why can't he put his marker over there in that neat corner and I'll stick mine here in my corner?
Vincent "Scab" |
^ that's what I was thinking. Let the groups duke it out after we leave. Hahaha
Vincent "Scab" |
oh i had missed this. must have been a busier thursday and friday than i thought. level-up incoming.
how were we doing HP again?
Vincent "Scab" |
ah, that's why i didnt get it. i have only seen a few clips of that show

Scab only knows of one beacon, so there is no decision for him to make.
That said, i still don't see a reason we all couldn't plant our beacons. Edward would likely tell us about his, as he doesn't seem one for such subterfuge, but Marcel would almost certainly plant his secretly.
That said, he would then have to destroy ours. And then walk into what then becomes the deathtrap of the super mutant offices when they find out that some other group has claimed the prize. Or then tell the party, revealing his duplicity (and then making us the subject of likely super mutant assassination attempts).
OR everyone could plant their beacons and let the groups fight it out after we get a reward, and hope the super mutants pay us.
Then again, with the way things have gone and the nature of radio waves, the groups have either suggested that they know where Marcel/Edward are, or would likely have the capability to find them. So planting their beacons becomes a moot point, because they already know where we are and by extension where the engine is.

Scab raises a very good point involving locations.
However, since you guys are underground and there's radiation, the signal is somewhat sketching and the precise location you could triangulate leads to about a mile in any direction from your location.
I guess I should have explained something else about the relations within Old Orleans. I'll go into detail here.
The Super Mutants that have settled in Old Orleans feel that they are strong enough to take on anyone that tries to intrude on them, but keep to themselves because they've got a pretty good thing going with power, protection, and a little influence in the Delegation of Old Orleans. If this truce is broken, the Brotherhood has full martial authority to take them down.
The Ghouls of Old Orleans know that the Brotherhood is truly in charge and don't want to make them upset. But as such, the Ghouls don't get very good treatment, mainly because the human residents see them mostly as the zombies that the Ferals are, even though they aren't. The Ghouls and SM are pretty good together since they're both ruined by radiation, so they've got a good thing going. A few members on the Delegation don't hurt either.
The Brotherhood of Steel has control over the majority of trade and electricity in the city. They are also the main police force and law enforcers since they've got the firepower and manpower. Without a doubt the Brotherhood is the all seeing eye that the Cold War was afraid of.
Old Orleans is run by a group of 8 members known as the Delegation. John Henry is the only Super Mutant on the board. The other members are three Ghouls and four Humans, Star Paladin Richards being one of them. All laws and legislation is run by them. Richards and John don't always see eye to eye, while the rest of the Delegation get along pretty well.

Merry Christmas gamers!
As my present to you, I present you with a set of loaded dice(kinda)!
In this game, you now have one(1) automatic 20 to any one roll. This cannot be used to cover a roll in the past, but any roll from now on can be replaced with an automatic 20. You only get one, so use it wisely!
Also, poke.
