No worries. We'll probably discuss a bit before hand, since this is a prep-heavy (and prep strange!) scenario and even if we start the gameplay, it won't be for a little while.

Got a few characters that are in the finishing stages of scenarios/modules...a couple will be third and one will be fourth...will choose in the next week...

I have one level 7 Zen Archer, and a two level 2 that I can get to 3 in one or two weeks =)

xyz-4 Ozrus - Div-Spawn Tiefling Sorcerer - Because of his high spell DCs I've been pulling him towards Charm-Enchantment-Debuffer, just don't trust a word that comes out his silver tongue, he's a consummate liar.

xyz-6 Bock - Tengu Rogue/Swashbuckler - I haven't played him above 1 yet (GM Baby) so I'm not sure if he'll end up a Rostland Bravo or Fighter instead of 'Buckler.

Take your pick, I'll make sure the PC is ready =) (If we're going low tier, Karl (the zen archer) might be overkill for combat, I think)

I also have a few options, a level 3 medium who is currently just starting the final game of a six game run, and a level 6 cleric who I could dust off and fix a couple of things with. Or I could possibly run a level four pregen to fill in a gap or two.

I'm so sorry, but it looks like I'm going to have to take a step back on this one. My other games have not finished as quickly as I thought they might, leaving me with no characters and little bandwidth for starting this one. Would you mind if I switch to being an interested observer?

Tervalis, I'm at the other table, but since I just sent you over here, I wanted to answer your question. Some of us are running pregens as needed to make these tables work out, so if there is a pregen who you really enjoy, that should enable you to participate.

However, Truddig should be finishing up the final part of Gallows of Madness soon. That will level him up to 4, and give him a bonus chronicle for completing all 3 parts, leveling him up to 5. I'm hoping that we can keep up the pace there and finish that run before prep is done here.

If not, I will play a pregen. I'll choose the pregen at the last minute.

I would prefer a low tier as my highest characters are 4th level but are in another game right now. The rest of my characters are 3rd level and lower.

I think I would like to play the vigiliante if he is free.

Count on me playing Truddig. The game he's in should finish before we start play (it was supposed to have finished in time for people to play in Race for the Runecarved Key...). If for some reason it drags on (it does slow to a crawl sometimes, thus not finishing yet), I will choose a pregen to play (and the PC to receive the chronicle) at that time.

I'm in the same spot as Otha, I was also planning of using a level 6, and I didn't mind the leser OOT rewards, as long as didn't push us to high tier, don't want to complicate the game for everyone.

So while Our Mysterious Benefactor starts with prep, I'll figure out the one playing through by Sunday =)

Wasn't this session supposed to have a couple of weeks worth of prep before gameplay started? Going over all of the details of putting together the maps, etc. in advance of gameplay?

I changed from a level 6 character to a level 4 when the GM mentioned low tier above, so I'm assuming it'll be at tier 3-4...

1. The tier was set at High, then Terevalis joined and asked to play low. I left it to you, the players to work out what tier you're going to play at. GET IT DONE. This is a basic table management task that any PFS group needs to understand and master as soon as possible. Tier is determined by adding the levels of characters together and dividing by the total number of players. 3-4 is low, 6-7 is high. 5 is playing up with the 4 player adjustment.

2. If there is something that warrants weeks of posts covering the maps for this adventure, please ask it. I'm happy to answer anything, but you've got to ask.

3. As for the dates, we agreed to start after the first of the year. It's now January 17. If that schedule doesn't work for you, you'll have to sit this one out. Feel free to follow the thread and post any questions you have in the discussion thread.

@OMB: Khaoz here, sorry for not commenting sooner, it's a couple of weeks where I was only waiting for life to hand me a screwdriver to try and sort everything around me, but apparently everything's stable now =)

Anything else you need me to know: Other than having +1 to AC when adjacent to a single foe, I don't think Bock has any tricks down his wings.

Okay, I guess I also wasn't expecting this to get started (in character that is) until February. I'm okay with starting now, it just means my plate'll be more full than I had planned on.

GM, I am curious about how you normally prep a scenario. For example, how far in advance do you like to start? Is it different for PBP and face to face? Also what do you generally like to do when prepping? Do you have a set schedule or order? Are there certain things you like to do when preping a scenario, such as rewriting intro dialogue or setting up things a set way?

Also I have started getting Hiko's cfharacter sheet ready, but I found she is missing a chornicle. It doesn't affect her level (with it, she'd be an adventure away from level six, without she two...) and I will be contacting the VO's, but I'm not sure what the rules about playing her are.

Sorry, I was planning on a Feb start for gameplay (i.e. character availability), which I believe I'd have been able to meet with Truddig. But, I'm not sure where I got that start date. Reading through the mentor lounge thread that kicked this off, Feb isn't mentioned, so that must be something that I assumed without evidence.

Anyway, that's my mistake, not yours! I'll be playing Estra, the Spiritualist iconic. The chronicle will have to be assigned to a new PFS#, as all of my existing (non-CORE) PCs are in games currently. I'll get a post up in GamePlay; I won't be able to get the alias populated until later today.
