Male Elf Barbarian 1 (Invulnerable Rager)

Kalis shrugs "If we do not find anything close then we will be moving camp in a few days. It would be better to just have someone on watch." He rolls his eyes at Gelik's suggestion that he lead the group, but keeps his thoughts to himself since Harper seems to have handled the little man.

Female Mwangi Elf Wizard(Enhancement)/1 - HP 10/11; AC13,T13,FF10; F+1,R+3,W+2/+4

Nngara quietly listens to the gnome. Knowing that she is not the most persuasive, she simply returns to the task of helping set up camp.

Survival: 1d20 ⇒ 19

After listening to Harper, Gelik looks around the group, then sighs. "Fine. I suppose we'll do the 'council' method of 'leadership,'" Gelik says while making air quotes, before muttering under his breath. "Though a proper hierarchy would be more efficient."

"I'm afraid I must admit that Gnomes are a bit at a disadvantage in the 'on watch' department" Gelik motions with his hand, indicating his height. "However, I think that given our current situation," Gelik motions to the skittesh Ishirou "I think I can better function by applying my leadership skills to guiding those of us who need superior leaders."

Gelik can serve as a entertainer or medic.

Male Elf Barbarian 1 (Invulnerable Rager)

Kalis' eyes follow Gelik's gesture towards Ishirou. He looks down at the ground for a moment as if in thought. Somewhat abruptly he stands and approaches Ishirou, "You are quiet. What use are you going to be if you are going to stay here at camp?"

Wise enough to know something should be said. No people skills to say it in a productive way :-)

Ishirou stares at Kalis with defiance in his eyes, "Just what do you know of honor?"

Male Elf Barbarian 1 (Invulnerable Rager)

Kalis narrows his eyes at the challenge, "Honor is value. It is how much value others put in your word. It is your value to family and tribe. What is your value going to be to us?"

Linard, glad that Harper handled the Gelik situation competently, gives him a nod before moving on beside Kalis to address the Tien man.
"While combat is a good proof of honor, it is not the only one. An honorable person is one who respects himself. This respect will not let him break his own word, or break the trust of others. Abadar defines honor as honesty, integrity and reputation. Even one who has not ever held a sword can be honorable if he is thoroughly maintaining these core values."

"Well said, Linard."

After listening to Linard's words, he sighs to himself. "Very well" He slowly stands up to his feet. "Would you have me set traps, or stand a watch?"

Any other details to specify about the camp?

Male Elf Barbarian 1 (Invulnerable Rager)

So to sum up:
Gelik Entertainer or Medic
Ishiro Defender or Guard
Aerys entertainer or guard
Sasha hunter or a defender
Jask medic or hunter
My suggestions:
Gelik Medic
Ishiro Guard
Aerys Entertainer
Sasha Hunter/defender
Jask Hunter
If we thought we were going to be at this camp for a while, then I would suggest a defender. For right now, we can extend our food stores for a bit by having Sasha split herself between hunter and defender.

Female Mwangi Elf Wizard(Enhancement)/1 - HP 10/11; AC13,T13,FF10; F+1,R+3,W+2/+4

Sounds good. Thanks for summing that. My pbp time has been greatly reduced recently.

HP: 35/35, AC: 18:12:16, CMD: 20 Saves: 5:3:2 +2Enchant Skills: Dip: +7, Per +11, Sense +9, Stealth, +7,

sounds fine

Guards need downtime too, they are split between day and night. Arguable the night shift is more important.
The hunter role is able to provide food for 6 people, which means one hunter can cover the entire NPC population. I assume that while traveling, the PC's can themselves.

Have you considered what you will do for shelter while traveling?

Following Kalis's duty list, with Ishiro guarding nights.

Ishiro sets out to set up a position to guard the camp during the night. Sasha starts collecting materials to build her traps.

As Gelik is leading the dinner preparations, Ishiro runs back into the camp, practically diving into the shelter. He looks at you with wide eyes, and says in a loud whisper, "They're coming!" He motions wildly to where he ran in from, then starts fumbling trying to draw his katana.

Please keep your action to one (full) round.

Perhaps they will think twice if Kalis is slightly larger.

Nngara calls upon her arcane training and casts Enlarge Person on Kalis.

Male Elf Barbarian 1 (Invulnerable Rager)

Kalis takes several steps in the direction that Ishiro ran in from and pulls his sword. "What is coming?"

Move 10ft in front of the group and ready to attack any foe who comes in range.

Jayem gets up from his meal, and gets out his axe. He fishes around in his belt with his offhand, and comes up with a small yellow stone. (Move action, draw axe. Preparing bomb with other hand. Can't use both in one round, but will have them both ready for whatever comes.)

He then peers out into the jungle, his sight piercing the veil of darkness, looking for the attackers.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9

Ishirou says in a panicked whisper, "Many of them, up in the trees!"

The tree tops start to sway, the screeching hoots can be heard, before a small troop of tiny monkeys some 40 feet above the ground (at the bottom of the canopy) come swinging into view. They stop as they see the shelter, and start screeching even louder than they were before while bouncing on tree branches.

I'd really like to have my campsite map done, but I'm still catching up on my class. And I haven't figured out how a 3D map would work.

Female Mwangi Elf Wizard(Enhancement)/1 - HP 10/11; AC13,T13,FF10; F+1,R+3,W+2/+4

The way I have seen one DM do it is to use the Halo function on MapTools to indicate characters/creatures that are at a different elevation. Not a perfect method, but it works fairly well. Another option might be to make two maps a ground level map and a 30' up map. You could use the same base map and just have different creatures/characters dependent upon elevation. We can just view them side by side to see where higher enemies are.

HP: 35/35, AC: 18:12:16, CMD: 20 Saves: 5:3:2 +2Enchant Skills: Dip: +7, Per +11, Sense +9, Stealth, +7,

If you go the two map method photoshop will be your friend
in that each NPC and PC exist in their own layer and you control the visibility.

Map should be uploading.

To keep things simpler...
The monkeys run down the trees and start running towards the camp.

Next round, by the way.

Nngara delays waiting for the Monkeys to move. Hoping to catch 3 or more in a Color Spray if the positioning allows it.

Kalis takes another step forward and menaces the monkeys, trying to keep them from charging his companions.

Gotta love reach AoO with a big sword.

Monkeys moved. AoO from Kalis is in order, but he has 3 chewing on him to choose from. I don't think anyone else has reach on them right now.

The monkey troop surges forward, the center takes Kalis on, biting him with tiny fangs in retaliation against the 2 monkeys he drops from their charge.. 2 subdual damage

Harper needs to make an AoO with whip, Nngara can choose to color spray for prepared action.

Seeing the Monkeys swarm over Kalis, Nngara slides north and then looks at Kalis.

Kalis my friend, close your eyes.
--> DM will have to decide, I can get 5 monkeys that are on Kalis, anywhere else I focus, I only get 2. The spell does not affect blind monsters, so I do not know whether I can instruct a party member to close their eyes.

If I can instruct Kalis to close his eyes - which might take a Will Save of some sort or wisdom check as he is raging, then I will cast Color Spray directly at Kalis and get all 5 monkeys on him. If this is not an option, then I will cast it so that I get the two near me.

Standard Action: Cast Color Spray

Male Elf Barbarian 1 (Invulnerable Rager)

Ignoring the monkeys jumping on and around him, Kalis reaches out and swipes at one of the pack that is trying to get around him to his allies.

I know my role as tank :-), so I'll swing at one directly south of me.

I've view rage as more of a Brock Samsung like setup, from The Venture Bros. Link: They hit me with a truck. I would say he can choose to react to your message.

There are 3 monkeys left on Kalis, he killed 2, and my map didn't update right.

@Kalis: Roll for attack

Nngara's spell knocks out the 3 remaining monkeys

@Valeria: Your target would be unconscious.

Female Mwangi Elf Wizard(Enhancement)/1 - HP 10/11; AC13,T13,FF10; F+1,R+3,W+2/+4

Seeing the monkeys fall to the ground, Nngara calls to the others.

Leave the ones on the ground, get the ones still up.

Too early to think straight, but:.

Lol - by on the ground, I meant the ones that I had knocked unconscious with my Color Spray. Not 'on the ground' vs. 'in trees'. Sorry if my posting was confusing.

Kalis - not that it matters as I believe you missed, but your sword will do 2d8 when large. Also, don't forget that you get AoO with reach if anything moves within 10' of you.

Also, how are you +5/+7 on your strength bonus? If your normal strength is 16, the Enlarge Person give you +2 which makes you 18 which should give you +4 attack and +6 damage with a 2-handed weapon.

Albino Jungle Dwarf Alchemist 1) (Perc +4; Init +2; HP 11/11; AC15,T12,FF13; CMD 15; F+4,R+4,W+0 (+2 vs spells&poison)

Round 3
@Nngara, Kalis: I think his strength should actually be higher than that. 16 base +4 rage +2 enlarge = 22/+6. Attack when raging with power attack +1 bab +6 str -1 size -1 power attack = +5. Damage is 2d8 weapon +9 str +3 power attack = 2d8+12. Of course, power attack may not be needed against these monkeys, but I totally feel the "all power attack, all the time" type of barbarian mentality.

I don't see Jayem on the map, but he will also be attacking one on the south side now.

Jayem darts under Kalis' wild swing and hacks at another one of the vicious monkeys.

Battleaxe: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (12) + 3 = 15for: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Harper manages to strike one of the monkeys off Kalis as it scurries around him. (It falls near death, then Nngara's spell hits it.)

Kalis's swing misses, and Harper is left without a target. Not that it would hit.

Updated the map, need to take your AoO's and see if anything survives

The first monkey runs into the hut, but Ishirou lets out a frantic yell and slices the monkey with his Katana (which he has finally managed to draw), letting the monkey drop to the ground.

Jayem wrote:

Jayems swing drops another monkey, leaving 2 for AoOs.

Edit: I don't expect any to survive the AoO phase. The monkeys still act if any do survive, so don't put up your next round yet.

Harper, Kalis, and Ishirou slice through the remaining monkeys as they advance on the doorway of the hut.

Ishirou looks at the Monkeys silently with a wide eyed expression. Jask and Aerys look at Ishirou quizzically. Gelik, however, quips, "Such a panic over a few monkeys, Ishirou? It's a good thing nothing Serious was attacking, or you might have had a heart attack!"

Female Mwangi Elf Wizard(Enhancement)/1 - HP 10/11; AC13,T13,FF10; F+1,R+3,W+2/+4

Nngara should have a dagger unless I forgot to put it on my character. If someone has a spare dagger, she will take it. I do not have the usual elf rapier/longbow proficiency due to an alternate trait I took.

Kalis:
You’re back aboard the Jenivere, bent over the railing being seasick. After your latest bout of retching, you slump back and see the rest of the passengers and crew are on deck as well, all of them sick save for the captain and the quiet Varisian scholar Ieana. She whispers in the captain’s ear, then gives him a kiss on the cheek. At that point the captain holds up a wooden soup spoon, and you realize that you’re holding one as well. Everyone has a spoon. The ship is sinking, and the only way to stop it is to bail out the hold with your spoon! You work feverishly, but the waters keep rushing in. Just before you wake, you can see monstrous things with pincers in the water trying to claw their way into the ship...

The night passes quietly enough. In the morning, Ishirou walks back into the camp, he seems a bit less jumpy, but still shaken. Gelik seems to have taken Ishirou's jumpiness, waking with a start, and muttering "first shipwrecked, now wings in the dark" before getting a hold of himself.

Need a Fort save vs. Disease from everyone. You can also discuss your plans for today.
