“Welcome villains, to Star City, a once wondrous city held in therip of the V’Sori and their underlings, the vicious K’tharen. The Heroes who have plagued us so in the past are gone, eliminated through the alien’s treachery, or else captured and taken aboard their ships for whatever unpleasant purposes they may have devised. Well you may have reveled in the destruction of Champion of Alpha Force—the world’s greatest superhero and super team respectively—when the alien’s blasted him from orbit on live television in the opening salvo, but now almost three years later they are still here, and show no sign of leaving. They hunt us like dogs, crushing any opposition; they are everywhere, in every country, every government, looming behind every person of power—if they have not simply done away with them as they did the world’s leaders, putting in their own toadies, or taking such power for themselves.

We will not stand idle any longer, the earth is our’s, not some alien scum from the back corners of the galaxy! You know me, I am Doctor Destruction, Champion’s nemesis, but even I cannot defeat the V’Sori alone; we must put aside our squabbles, our rivalries, and our hatreds and work together. Join me, join Omega, and together we will wipe the aliens from the earth, and send them back into the depths where they came from!”

So ends the most recent of the Doctor’s broadcasts, his powerful voice accompanied by the latest scenes of the alien’s atrocities, broadcast on every channel, every television across northern America. It’s almost funny—watching the aliens squirm helplessly as they try to track down the iron-clad face of Destruction, only to raid some empty warehouse, or break down the door to some alien sympathizer’s mansion and drag him off for questioning. The interruption of the first superbowl since the V’Sori’s invasion was a particularly brilliant stroke, though it did rather spoil the match when an enraged fin blasted the stadium screens, sending them tumbling onto the field.

Almost funny… Destruction’s words have grown tired, you’re not interested in sticking your neck out for the Fins to chop it off, you’re a villain! What do you care for the rest of the world? Of course, it doesn’t really matter now, the cuffs are on, your powers are useless, and pretty soon you’re going to disappear, just like all those shmucks in Dr. D’s videos.

Maybe you should have paid more attention…

Sometime in the last two days, the aliens slapped you in irons. Nullifiers, to be precise. You were wreaking havoc in Star City when the aliens performed one of their random sweeps. Some of you were spotted by dumb luck, others were ratted out by someone who has a very bad day coming sometime in the near future.

You were transferred from one holding facility to another, and finally put on this M’buna, a weird alien transport ship that’s currently zipping down Central Avenue. Most likely, they’re heading for one of those big Man O’ Wars to take you off world. Rumor has it they like to dissect folks with super-powers to see what makes ‘em tick.

At least you won’t suffer alone. There are a few other capes in here as well. Some you recognize. Some you don’t. You’re all in the same boat now though.

The three of you are in the transport. Please describe your character and you may interact with each other.

Also describe what you were doing when you were captured by the V'sori. :)

Eclipse Dark glowered at the nullifier cuffs on his wrists. He knew that if he could just short them out somehow, this transport wouldn't last for long. Then there would be hell to pay. Oh, boy... His slowly simmering anger was reaching critical mass.

It was only dumb luck that had enabled the alien scum to get the drop on him. He had just ambushed a SOCorp patrol and was mopping them up handily when the finheads hit him with one of those damn nullifiers from behind. Their lapdogs took particular glee in stomping him at that point, and even though he was still able to give as good as he got, the numbers game worked against him. He was an excellent fighter, even without his powers, and all he had to do was wait for his chance.

He looked at the others in the transport.

"I'm getting out of here. Who's coming with me?"

Steven is a Human male approximately 5'6" tall his weight is average as is his appearance. In fact, you are surprised he is here he looks so mild mannered. For clothing he wears only a bath robe and if it is covering something you do not see it.

What rotten circumstances to be here like this only a day ago Steven was flying high, literally. His latest caper had bagged him a small fortune. Why not enjoy it with a load of drugs and a gaggle of call girls? I guess one got the idea of dropping a dime when she realized who Steven was. Wonder which one it was? Guess I will just have to kill 'em all when I get out, there are plenty more where they came from. If these aliens did not have my attention before, they have it now. This is my world... Steven feels a tingling in the back of his head... sorry our world and it is time to claim it!

Steven looks to the stranger, "I am certainly with you, any ideas for how I can not be with you any longer?" he states shaking his wrists cuffed by a nullifier at him.

Eclipse Dark stared at the man in the bath robe for a moment. He smirks.

"Somebody is going to open those doors. I say we jump them. These things make really good garrotes. Or..."

Eclipse Dark turns and slams his cuffs into the side of the transport, hoping to short-circuit the electronics that are dampening his powers.

Steven contemplates his fellow prisoners idea, "Why the hell not? Better dead then experimented on, well when it comes to my person anyway".

The shackles are made of very durable metal and banging them against the walls of the transport just makes your wrists ache.

Curt's char is done he should be posting this weekend.

Touche' is sporting a nice orange prison out fit and shackles as he was being transported to a special security facility suit to detain such a being with his unique quality

The job:

Touchè was quietly working in his lab planning to take control of the world from these alien bastards that feel they can come to our planet and run things. Well they have never encountered The Amazing Touche. Missing one final piece for his Uranium Pu-36 explosive space modulator he and his henchman decide to rob an armored vechicle. Waiting out side of the bank he waits for the guards to take the load of money out and with a touch of fear tohche and his man makes off w5ith the truck... it didnt take long before the authorities gave chase... driving towards to the docks its only one clear way to lose them ... jump on to the 3:00pm ferryboat

"the ferry is leaving, Your not going to make it" said the henchman
"Nonsense we will make it, nah mean." touche grins as the challenge is accepted. The henchman looks at touche and jumps out of the moving vehicle as he felt it was the lesser of two bad choices. Touche floors the truck, hits the ramp and becomes airborne. Crashing through the hull of the boat. Halfway hanging out.

"See, i told you we would make it"He says to himself after taking a hit from the deployed airbags which eventually knocks him out cold

"Lets do this, nah mean" Touche exclaims snapping out of his meditative state

Suddenly the M’buna flies into the air! It flips end over end, sending you tumbling into each other. Stevens privates probably flop into someones face during the flipping since he's only wearing a bathrobe... The world is a jumble of color and cursing before you finally come to rest. The M’buna is ripped wide open and you see blood and smoke everywhere. A massive explosion rocks the wreck, killing the Fin guards as they stagger forth. You’re stunned, trying to gather your senses, but the nullifiers keep you weak and useless.

Then a familiar figure strides through the smoke holding a massive gun. There can be no mistaking the famous form of Earth’s most powerful supervillain — Dr. Destruction!

"You want to live?" Destruction asks.

Steven grins, "Why yes, yes we do Dr. I appreciate the house call..."

Eclipse Dark searches the bodies for a key to the nullifier cuffs.

"No. I want vengeance."

He also grabs a weapon if he sees one. Once he has one, he turns to the 'good' doctor.

"I hope your recruitment pitch includes permission to kill as many finheads as we can, Destruction."

Touche tries to ghost his way out of the cuffs and you see a quick glitch but he still remains in cuffs. Powers void of all function.

"Living is a vital component to enact my most elaborate scheme yet. Ridding the world of these fin freaks."

Before your able to take any actions other than agree to Dr. Destruction's question your yanked up out of the carnage and shoved roughly into the smoke. A number of green-suited masked minions quickly escort you — still bound by the nullifiers — into a waiting Anti-grav personal carrier.

The carrier zips away heading several miles north. On the way the minions begin to slap small lumps of clay and tiny receivers onto each of your nullifier manacles.

"You might think I rescued you because I’m in awe of your amazing powers. You’d be wrong. You can all be cut into flank steaks on a V’sori examination table for all I care.

"No, I rescued you for two reasons. The first is because it draws the fins away from my real target. The second is because I can always use a new Omega cell. If you want in, and can prove yourself to me tonight, you’re in. If you’re not interested…well, let’s just say you will be."

At that, Dr. Destruction slams a button on the wall. The back hatch opens, and each of you plummets out of the carrier and into the darkness below.

"You’ve got precious few seconds before you hit the ground. Since I’ve touched each of you, I can now communicate telepathically at the speed of thought. One of your few seconds will be gone by the time I finish my offer. I suggest you think fast.

"There’s a prisoner in the holding pens named Mindjack. You might have heard of him — he pulled the Amij Diamond job last summer. He’s in there somewhere, and I want him. If you agree to break him out and bring him to the center of the camp ALIVE — I’ll bust open your nullifiers so you can survive the fall. If you tell me to go stuff myself, I can only say that I hope you hit a Fin on your way down.

"Find Mindjack, bring him to the center of camp. I’ll pick those who survive up after I deal with any remaining V’sori that fly in. It won’t end there though. I can find you wherever you go now. I can help you and show you how we can defeat the invaders who took over our playground, or I can point you out to them like wounded prey to a hound.

"It’s your choice.

"You have 7 seconds."

"You had me at 'You want...'. I agree!"

"I agree, you son of a b%!!$...!"

Touche plummets to his doom with mere seconds to consider his fate.

Pondering:

1 second --- Hmmmm..
2-3 seconds --- Should I, or should I not
4-5 seconds --- Death would ruin my day, nah mean

Response:

"I suppose"

The little receivers on your manacles flash once, then the plastic explosives detonates and shatters the nullifiers. You feel your powers return instantly when they shatter with just 2 seconds before you smack right into the compound.

Touche teleports himself onto the roof without any harm to himself.

Eclipse force powers allow him to fly just above the roof landing safely.

Steven... Please make a spellcasting roll for a power that may save you here. ie flight, teleportation or something of that nature. Roll 1d12 for spellcasting and 1d6 for your wild dice.

Spellcasting 1d10 ⇒ 6
Wild 1d6 ⇒ 4

Steven is able to summon his eldrich powers and safely land onto the roof.
Your spellcasting is d12 not d10 btw.

The compound has a tall 12’ outer chain-link fence and one gate with a well-lit guardhouse and a prison barracks.

Your dramatic landing onto the roof of the main prison instantly draws the lights and alarms of the compound.

You see four drones that were caught off guard in the guardhouse.
You get free action this round to attack those drones if you wish. Your within range of your powers if you have attack powers.

Drone

Eclipse Dark grins at the sudden appearance of the drone. Here was something he could take his frustrations out on until he had a chance to deal with the source of his problem.

As the blacklight energy coalesces around his form and he rises into the air, his hand flashes out and a hammer of energy slams into the nearest drone.

1d12 ⇒ 3
1d6 ⇒ 4

Knockback 1d4 ⇒ 1
Damage 1d12 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 1 + (2) = 6

Eclipse isn't your fighting d10 not d12? Your wild die still made the roll regardless.

Since you got the "drop" (get it? drop?) on them you get +4 to your attack and damage rolls.

The first drone is smashed into a million little pieces by Eclipse force powers sending his scattering all over the place.

Correct. Apologies.

Steven remains aloft and raises his hands using his Ranged Attack Powers to fire at a Drone with his enhanced Super Attribute it should be no contest.

Agility 1d8 ⇒ 1
Wild 1d6 ⇒ 1

Wheeeee.

Damage 1d8 ⇒ 5 I am assuming here, do not have the book in front of me.

It's actually super skill shooting you got your power in which gives you d8 shooting.

That is a critical failure 2 1's. I would suggest you spend a Bennie to re-roll. You have 3.

Nothing like spending a Bennie on page 1 of the thread... 2/3 left.

Shooting 1d8 ⇒ 2
Wild 1d6 ⇒ 4

Well at least it is not a critical failure any longer...

roll your damage. You get +4 on attack/damage on this initial attack since you got "the drop" on the enemies. So 2d6+4 damage

Damage 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (2, 6) + 4 = 12

Steven grunts in satisfaction upon scoring a successful hit.

Touche will teleport in rapid zig zag patterns into the guard station

will use 24 meter movement to get there or into the station

you easily make it to them that's your movement action did you want to do anything else?

The blast of energy destroys another drone!

I want to see if i can deactivate the drones, locks to the prison to gain access, and or stop alarms

Deactivating them is a no, the controls for alarms and such are inside the prison not in the guard tower. You want to try to push one of them over the edge of the guard tower? You can make fighting test vs Diff of 6 to push one over the edge. You get +4 to attack because of "the drop" but since you don't have fighting as a skill would only be +2 cuz you would normally get -2 for untrained skills.

ok then teleport me close to the prison enterence... and i must boast to these droids

"HaHaHa!, is that all you have to tin men. We shall pulverize the lot of you and use your scraps as can openers. Nah mean." He exclaims as he walks off into the distance to reach the enterence.

Keeping true to his signature move he never knew he had of never directly finishing off an opponent Touche moves on

Round 1
Eclipse: Qd
Drone4: Jc
Steven: 10d
Touche: 7c
Drone3: 5s
5 cards dealt, 49 cards left in deck.

##################

Eclipse your up first. There are 2 drones left in the guard tower and they will be able to act this round. Touche headed for the entrance down into the main complex of the prison in which roof your on right now.

Who do the drones seem to be targetting?

They are pointing their guns at you and Steven as your both closer to them.

Eclipse Dark swings his fist, and another giant black fist knocks a drone off of the guard tower.

1d10 ⇒ 6
1d6 ⇒ 2

Knockback1d4 ⇒ 1
Damage 1d12 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (3) + 1 + (3) = 7

Eclipse force power just barely hits the drone destroying another before it can get a shot off!

Will say you destroyed the faster acting done. Steven is up!

Round 1
Eclipse: Qd
Steven: 10d
Touche: 7c
Drone3: 5s
5 cards dealt, 49 cards left in deck.

Hovering in place, teven fires again.

Shooting 1d8 ⇒ 4
Wild 1d6 ⇒ 3

Damage 2d6 + 4 ⇒ (4, 1) + 4 = 9

No more +4 on damage as "the drop" is over.

Steven's blast hits the drone but doesn't do enough damage to penetrate the armor.

Touche is up! Going to roll for drone3 since touche is moving away.

Drone3 takes a shoot at Eclipse with it's blaster and scores a hit!
shooting: 1d8 ⇒ 7
damage: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 4, 6) = 14
Eclipse this puts you at shaken with 1 wound. I'm house ruling no exploding dice on damage rolls because that gets to ridiculous. You can explode on skill/attribute roles and if you get raise on attack you get extra +1d6 damage.

Since Elcipse is shaken he can only do free actions until he becomes unshaken which is either 1) spend a bennie and immediately become unshaken and can act normally on your action 2) Roll spirit on your turn (failure = your still shaken can only do free action, success = not shaken but can only do free action, raise = your unshaken and can act normally!). Hope that makes sense. The 1 Wound puts you at -1 on all rolls except for damage.

Eclipse you can also spend a Bennie for a soak roll. You would roll your Vigor and on success it would remove the wound, raises remove additional wounds.

Spending bennie

Vigor: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Wild Die: 1d6 ⇒ 6

Exploding Wild Die: 1d6 ⇒ 1

Touche witnesses the drones backup coming with more guns. A slips into an ephemeral state

Touche you need to make a spirit check to go intangible. roll 1d6 spirit and 1d6 wild.

1d6 ⇒ 6 vs 4

1d6 ⇒ 4 vs 4 (wild)

Touche clasp his palms together and makes weird hand gestures that seem crude and enters a ghostly form to infiltrate the facility

Just as Touche goes intangible more drones being pouring out of the barracks into the main building in which you guys are on top of. (8 additional drones).

Let me paint the picture a little better for you all!
On the roof is Eclipse/Steven with the one Drone in the guard house in range of each other. Touche is at the stairwell into the main building from the roof. The 8 drones that are coming from the barracks into the main build are out of range right now and are just charging into the main building. NOW if Steven or Eclipse want to they could use their move action (fly) and shoot down at the drones entering the main building but still have the one drone (drone3) in range to worry about.

Round 2:
Drone12: Ad
Drone10: Ac
Touche: Kd
Drone6: Qs
Steven: 10h
Drone7: 10c
Drone3: 7h
Eclipse: 4s
Drone8: 4c
Drone5: 3s
Drone11: 3h
Drone9: 2s

#############

Drone10 and Drone12 make their way into the main building this round.

Touche is up!

After hearing the sounds of more drones touche doubles back with a blink of an eye... thinking . .. thinking... he has no weapon or melee skills to handle the drones but seeing the drone hammering his makeshift team he attamps to seize control

Mind control
1d10 ⇒ 1 :(

1d6 ⇒ 5

Touche make some more weird hand gestures and you see his hands shimmer briefly in the same translucent shimmer briefly pulses around the drones head and dissipates.

"Drone, gun up at the ready, do not shot shoot nah mean."

finding his teammates touche waves them closer to him

"we have but moments to figure out our next move. This tin can is mine. We can either attack the next wave coming having this thing"Touche plucks the skull of the drone " and have it shoot first. Or pretend to have been captured nah mean? If we pretend capture we can ambush them or we can have them take us in. Please decide quickly oh and I vote we trick these bastards and sneak in. I know we can pull it off for sure nah mean"

smarts opposed: 1d4 ⇒ 2
You have control of the Drone3

Drone6 makes it's way into the building on the main floor.

Steven is up.

"I doubt they're that stupid. They probably pickd us up on radar during the fall. they know we aren't prisoners. And I'm not letting them slap those nullifiers on me again."

Eclipse Dark gets ready to fight.

"No cuffs for me crazy man".

Blast Drone 3

Ranged Attack 1d8 ⇒ 4
Wild 1d4 ⇒ 2

Damage 2d6 ⇒ (6, 6) = 12
