Yes, you can communicate, actually while you communicate there is a stop to the 'attacks'.

I'm kind of waiting on what to do from here, there's not much to go on. I've put as much blood onto the orb as I can/regenerate, and am hoping for a sign or some indication of what to do next...
So far my last act was to paint the orb entirely with my own blood. Then you said there's no blood left in the temple.
Right now he's just kind of waiting on a reaction, if time goes by without reaction he'll do something else.

Oom you feel as if you know more about it, though you know it is missing fuel, you can cast spells into the throne, and with that fuel it could start functioning properly.
Give me 10 suggestions on spells that you think this throne could do.
Arcane eyes is one of the spells on it, I found the spell!

For a throne, Mass Suggestion, Protection of (good?), Age resistance, Protection from scrying, Anti-Magic Sphere.

I think going to some interplanar things to create ties to metaverses etc and fighting demi-gods gods etc would be a good start after this is established.

as an aside an ac of 51 while hard isn't super hard to hit, during rage if not defensive fighting or power attacking my to hit is +20bab +21 str +3 moral + 1 competence +5 reckless abandon +5 enhancement bonus +1 feat so +55. Power attack reduces it by 5 of course and so does combat expertise.

That's my touch ac.
My normal ac is 63.+3 more from defensive fighting.
+4 more after a quickened shield.
Brings my ac to 70.
While defensive fighting i can deflect any one melee attack a round as a non-action.
Your +55 is deflected if it hits, then the rest only hit on a 20.
Deflected attacks and missed attacks all provoke an AOO from me.

although I can tell you designed a character just to fight ours and are looking for an excuse to do so.

And since it matched my touch ac, and i just ran up to him, it looked like he may have been talking to me.

Most of the abilities the throne has, can only be done in the room that the throne actually is, though I like reverse gravity anywhere you can see.

Sorry folks for my absence and any miscommunication.
The lizard folk was running, the kobold kept match with it for a round, then the round worth of words from TATE and the kobold happened, that is about where we stopped it.

We will get to the Castle creation soon. Tate is about ready to be caught up... so soon. Bertram I will leave it up to you how you want to introduce the castle layout, though I can whip out a floor plan if needed.

It could be a verbal layout, such as:
Courtyard to 1. Entrance Hall, or 2. Stables
Entrance Hall to Main dining hall
Main dining hall to 1. Library, 2. Bathroom, 3. Kitchen, 4. stairs
Stairs in Main dining hall to 1. 2nd floor, 2. 3rd floor
2nd floor: 1. 5 bedrooms

it could be just a list of the rooms
or
a picture layout of the rooms with labels.
or something more... :P

decided to go the descriptive route....
A massive castle of smooth metal and crystals forms from the chunks flying up into the air. In the center, a 60ft tall tower presides over the rest of the structure, which is cornered by four smaller towers of 40ft height. Embedded crystals provide sufficient light around the structure, reflecting in their myriad facets. The corner towers each possess plenty of spartan barracks space, near one of which sets a bathing area primarily meant for the soldiers who might one day guard these halls.
Upon entering the structure, a large main hall can be seen through doors on the opposite end of the dedicated teleportation room. In this room, easy-to-remember statues, pillars, and decorative walls make for easy recollection should someone want to teleport here. In the main hall, tables stand ready to serve as a meeting or dining area. At the back of the hall there is a double door that leads to a throne room. To the right of the main hall, a large kitchen area can be seen.
To the left of the main hall, a short hallway makes a T-intersection with a long hallway from which 8 bedrooms branch off. At the back end of the hallway, a large library can be accessed. A door in the back of the library leads to a magnificent alchemy lab, which is blocked off from the throne room by a reinforced protective wall. Opposite the library from the alchemy lab is a room with further reinforced protective walls, stacked with dummies for use in testing explosive spells and the like. At the other end of the long hallway of bedrooms is a large bathing area.
Off the side of the alchemy lab, a stairwell is blocked off. Those enterprising enough to access it find that it leads up to an observatory, or down to a large dungeon with an adjacent summoning room. Adjacent but completely blocked off from that lies a 60ft deep pit that houses the Heart of the castle, adjacent to which lies the Tinkerer's large laboratory, replete with all manner of strange devices.
On the far end of the kitchen, blocked off but open to the outside, lies an impressive stable that holds both winged and earth-bound mounts. Next to that is a storage room, with what looks like the beginnings of work to add a second level beneath it.
Scattered throughout the structure are four small temple areas, currently nondescript. Next to one of the guard towers is a large sparring room, and to the other side of that is an agility and stealth training room.

Basically I am letting you DM the Castle part and I will try to help if you are not around to answer any of the questions people have.
Also there might be a few undead skeleton horses and one skeleton dire wolf, but no other mounts, But there sure is plenty of room for both winged and ground based mounts.
