I believe Elmar is up. And then Zuberu and Ekram seem to be tied, so not sure who goes first. Then it's everybody else followed by the harpies going last.
Elmar Thonsson |
Knowledge (dungeoneering): 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20
"Those harpies are dangerous!" Elmar shouts, aiming for one of them. "Zuberu, grab their instruments if you can!"
Elmar Thonsson |
And, shooting at the harpy:
Rapid Shot: -2/0
Point Blank Shot: +1/+1
Deadly Aim: -2/+4
Arrow 1: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11 (not adamantine)
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Arrow 2: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18 (not adamantine)
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
This is about to get real ugly...
Nahoçe Sijed |
Nahoçe Sijed |
You beat me in initiative, Avelloran, so I think you get off before the silence hits. And AFAIK there's no Will save required (or possible!) when the Silence target is an area rather than a creature. Someone smack me if I'm wrong.
Elmar Thonsson |
That's correct, Nahoçe (I spent a lot of time reading through discussions on this, but the consensus is that the will save is only if you target it to follow a creature, and then only that creature gets to save).
That said, based on the position of the room, Avelloran can easily back out of the range of the silence as a move action and then fry the birdy anyway.
(and it gets a save vs. blindness, right?)
Kaylor Traice |
Rock on Nahoce! :-)
On my phone, so having trouble moving my icon. Kaylor moves 4 squares down and one to the right (but in such a way to avoid an AoO). Then make sword keen +1 as swift action. Shocking grasp with held charge.
to hit: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (18) + 10 = 28
damage: 1d6 + 5 + 1 + 5d6 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 1 + (5, 1, 6, 5, 3) = 28
confirm: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15
crit damage: 1d6 + 5 + 1 + 5d6 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 1 + (3, 6, 5, 4, 2) = 28
Kaylor Traice |
Yup, adamantine. So that should confirm and kill it dead.
DoubleGold |
yep kaylor kills a harpy, now its their turn.
two go after kaylor attack: 8 + 1d20 ⇒ 8 + (8) = 16 attack 2: 3 + 1d20 ⇒ 3 + (2) = 5
attack 2nd harpy: 8 + 1d20 ⇒ 8 + (13) = 21 2nd attack: 3 + 1d20 ⇒ 3 + (17) = 20
4 go after silver, one hovering above the other guy.
and now the harpies on silver attack: 4d20 ⇒ (16, 18, 4, 9) = 47 add 8 to each attack.
Silver takes damage: 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (2, 2) + 2 = 6 from the morning stars.
Silver and Elmar are up
Elmar Thonsson |
Now that Paizo's servers are working again, Elmar will shoot at a harpy (whichever one is damaged, or if none then whichever he has a clear line of sight to).
Rapid Shot: -2/0
Point Blank Shot: +1/+1
Deadly Aim: -2/+4
Arrow 1: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Arrow 2: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Avelloran |
Casting Spike pit, under Ekrams. DC 18 reflex to avoid falling directly down, all creatures within the ten foot perimeter reflex 16 or then roll in, this includes ekrams if he makes his first save. On failed save, Damage: 3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 4) = 16
Pit lasts 4 rnds, creatures within take 1d6 per round they are in it. dc 20 climb to get out, and doing is 1d6 on check.
Nahoçe Sijed |
Nahoce moves up to attack the nearest harpy.
Morningstar +1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16 Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
DoubleGold |
@Avelloran, I'm trying to think of how the 10ft by 10ft hole goes, someone let me know If I'm wrong, I can't find an example on google but I'm thinking is takes up 4 squares rather than expand 10 feet from the center. Also that was pretty good, but the harpies are all flying since they have a fly speed, most of them are like 6 inches off the ground however. so Ekram I think would be the only one that possibly falls in.
Elmar Thonsson |
I think that sounds right as to how the pit works, yeah. And unless the harpies are actively flying, I believe they fall in as well.
DoubleGold |
well the dc to hover is 15, which is what they are doing, so there is a possibility they can't and they could fall in as well
fly to hover: 6d20 ⇒ (17, 9, 6, 14, 5, 18) = 69 add 12 to each. starting from left to right. yes, they hover, they only need to roll 3s
ekram reflex: 6 + 1d20 ⇒ 6 + (5) = 11 ekram falls in and dies.
Kaylor Traice |
Ok, if it's a 2x2 foot square then I shouldn't have to make a reflex save, which is good.
Kaylor silently mocks Ekram for apparently failing to notice the lack of sound.
Seeing that he can no longer cast spells due to the silence in effect, Kaylor spends an extra arcane pool point to turn his sword into a +1 flaming scimitar. It's not like I really have anything else to spend them on right now.
To Hit: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (14) + 10 = 24 This will be vs the one Zuberu isn't grappling.
Damage: 1d6 + 5 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 1 + (3) = 11 2nd d6 is fire.
DoubleGold |
another harpy goes down after several attacks, the one that was next to Nahoce.
2 try to attack silver while moving up, while 1 attacks nahoce, the other going after Kaylor
attack: 8 + 1d20 ⇒ 8 + (11) = 19 attack: 8 + 1d20 ⇒ 8 + (10) = 18 vs silver
attack: 8 + 1d20 ⇒ 8 + (10) = 18 vs Nahoce
attack: 8 + 1d20 ⇒ 8 + (14) = 22 vs Kaylor
and the other one cannot escape Zuberu's grasp.
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (7) + 1 = 8 on silver
The party is up again
Elmar Thonsson |
Alas, Zuberu, you make no sound, and this is the only campaign I can think of in which neither I nor anyone else has trained in Read Lips.
Elmar will aim two arrows at the harpy attacking Nahoce, since it's also the closest to threatening him and Avelloran.
Arrow 1: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Arrow 2: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (19) + 9 = 28
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
Arrow 2 confirm crit: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
Extra Damage: 2d8 + 16 ⇒ (6, 6) + 16 = 28
Nahoçe Sijed |
Zuberu *did* say muted, I think he knows.
Nahoce moves on to the nearest harpy.
Morningstar +1: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (4) + 7 = 11 Damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Elmar Thonsson |
Considering that Zuberu wanted to tell us to let him handle that one, I think we got the message regardless (in the event that she's even still conscious).
Silver Bullet |
Silver quickdraw his melee weapon as he switches attack: 7 + 1d20 ⇒ 7 + (20) = 27
damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (2, 1) + 3 = 6 bludgeoning.
then he will shift backwards.
crit confirm: 7 + 1d20 ⇒ 7 + (20) = 27
extra crit damage: 6 + 4d6 ⇒ 6 + (2, 6, 4, 3) = 21 because earthbreaker deals tripple damage.
and he bloodies one badly, blood across its stomach and neck, oozing bright orange blood.
Kaylor Traice |
To hit: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (20) + 10 = 30
damage: 1d6 + 5 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 1 + (2) = 10
confirm: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
damage: 1d6 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 5 + 1 = 8
vs non-grappled harpy
Kaylor Traice |
Hmm, I somehow missed the part where Avelloran's pit caused Ekram to fall and break his neck. Silly leader who wasn't nearly as challenging as his minions.
DoubleGold |
okay, so avelloran burning hands on the 2 harpies up front, he angles his fire upward so it goes over our heads and hit them as the harpies are now flying higher.
damage: 5d4 ⇒ (4, 3, 4, 3, 3) = 17 fire damage.
reflex: 7 + 1d20 ⇒ 7 + (6) = 13 they all save or they all don't.
two harpies get within melee to go after elmar after moving
hit: 8 + 1d20 ⇒ 8 + (2) = 10
hit: 8 + 1d20 ⇒ 8 + (11) = 19 and that was so close as that bounced off the armor and an inch higher that would have been the neck.
the other two by kaylor and zuberu miss, well actually the one pinned just now escapes grapple.
Party is up again.
Elmar Thonsson |
Man, really wishing I had Improved Bull Rush right now, since a flying enemy that gets bull-rushed has to make a DC 25 fly check or plummet, and there's a pit right there. Oh well.
Elmar steps back and fires at the closest harpy.
Rapid Shot: -2/0
Point Blank Shot: +1/+1
Deadly Aim: -2/+4
Arrow 1: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (5) + 9 = 14
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Arrow 2: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (11) + 9 = 20
Damage: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Silver Bullet |
Silver backs up a step loads his gun and fires at the other one.
I forgot, one of those died due to Avellorans burning hands. it too 27 from silver and 17 from burning
hit: 10 + 1d20 ⇒ 10 + (2) = 12 and misses as it flies by its left leg.
damage: 1d8 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
