DungeonMaster

@Avelloran, roll a perform drawing (cha modifier, or it will automatically be equal to your highest perform skill if you took ranks into any perform skill) . It is easy to do, but you are just copying down symbols. You do not have to know what the symbols mean to copy them down, though it was good you Ided them. DC 13 to copy them well enough.

Also, because you were able to ID them, you get a +2 all linguistics and religion checks for the rest of the dungeon. And can use them untrained for this dungeon, if you can copy them you will get another +2.

@kaylor and elmer, will get to you guys once everyone has posted. Yumi is currently on a short break, and will join us in a few day, so I'm botting her.

okay, so there really was a trap nearby it was at the door at the end of the hallway. I'm really hoping someone here gets a 20 on perception to see this thing, as I'm going to see that if one sees it, he/she points it out to everyone so everyone can avoid it.

The people I'm dm botting go to the back so that they have improved cover.

Avelloran is busy drawing, so he is not near the danger.

Round 45 start
You see a pathway to your right and to your left, map updated, where do you go?
Also linguistics and knowledge local to find out what some of the stuff in the room is.
If you are trying to complete the dungeon in time for the bonus, you have to complete this thing in 2400 rounds

With the metaknowledge we have from the map, going right (North) seems like a better option as the path is shorter. That said, since we entered from the Northeast, I'd say it might make more sense to go that way anyway.

I'd be okay continuing in that direction until an interesting room is encountered.

Also, what are the blue circles with x's through them in our current room?

Kaylor is fine going either way. He assumes we'll explore all of it eventually.

Also, even without knowledge local or linguistics, we should at least be able to see something/get some kind of a description, right? We just wouldn't know what we'd be looking at.

Kaylor takes a moment to look around the room, keeping an eye out for anything of value.

copied directly from the book...

A faded tapestry hangs on a wooden frame on the western wall of this chamber. Faded and delicate, the tapestry depicts a middle-aged man, accompanied by a woman and two children, with a small estate in the background. To either side of the tapestry are two small pedestals, upon which sit two dead and preserved animals. Stone double doors exit the chamber to the north south and east.

The tapestry is a portrait of Akhentepi, his wife, and two children, depicted standing before their family home. Characters who study the tapestry and succeed at a dc 10 linguistics check can discern several symbols and hieroglyphs that suggest that Akhentepi's family befell some tragedy, possibly murder or sickness and he was left widowed.

A pc who succeeds at a local check dc 15, know... redacted. (Silver bullet failed this one, so he can't tell you and noone succeeed yet, so I can't write it.)

Also, Kaylor, nothing of value in the room.

Upon seeing the preserved animals, Kaylor immediately removes Sam from his back, holding her in his arms as he places his body between her and the dead animals to avoid letting her see. The kitten looks absolutely tiny in comparison to the large Tiefling, but she starts to purr loudly as Kaylor scratches her ears.

Seeing nothing of value in the room, he moves to continue onwards. He reaches towards the North wall, but hesitates, looking at the kitten in his arms. The last door was trapped. If this one is as well, how can I open it while simultaneously protecting Sam AND hiding those dead animals from her? He pauses for a moment before retrieving the torch from his tail and using it to pick Sam up and hold her slightly behind himself but with his backpack still obscuring her view. He then attempts to open the door and continue onwards.

Fighter (Rondelero Duelist) 1

Sefu holds the torch in his shield arm aloft, to get a better view of the room and it's contents. "Guess mummified pets don't sell well, huh?" he jokes, casting his gaze around the room. There was something about the room that seemed familiar almost, he couldn't quite explain it.

knowledge local 15: pc can infer that the family is probably interred somewhere else and that his tomb was prepared much later, after Akhentepi's continued successful military career.

This would have taken you two round to here, since the doors have be opened.

Room A6
A brightly pianted chariot sits in the center of this chamber. Beyond this chariot, a large canvas stretches between two stone columns. The skins of several animals-antelopes, great cats, and crocodiles--now faded and deteriorated with age, are tacked to this canvas. A wooden chest, lacquered white and trimmed with gold inlay, sits in the southeast corner. In each corner of the room a small stone shield is molded into the masonry at shoulder height. An open hallway leads to the east, and a set of stone double doors lead south.

The book says you can restore the chariot with a profession or craft check, but I don't allow crafting, so auto success. So I'm changing it.

Each individual person gains 25 gold You find this inside the chariot.

Outwardly impassive but inwardly pleased, Kaylor pockets his gold. He then eyes the chest in the corner. Eager to see what's inside but wary of anything appearing to be a gift, he looks around the chest for traps. Not satisfied with simply checking the chest, he also carefully examines the shields in the four corners of the room, making sure not to step directly in front of them. From there, he looks for any signs that the shields will either separate from the wall to attack or spit darts out at them. If he doesn't see signs of the shields attacking, he will then also look for signs that the shields are perhaps secret buttons.

Kaylor flips idly through the books. Hmm, these could be useful. But would lugging them about be worth it? They do seem valuable. He pauses to contemplate the best course of action. Well, I suppose I don't have to decide right now since there isn't exactly a merchant to buy it from us.

Satisfied that he's examined the room thoroughly enough, and not particularly interested in examining the dead animal pelts further, Kaylor heads towards the next room. And the room after that if the next room is really just a hallway.

Number 2 goes after nahoce with 2 slams attack: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (20) = 22
attack: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (14) = 16
nahoce, you take damage: 1d3 ⇒ 1

Lucky for you, Kaylor manages to kill it in return and it crumbles to the ground. these things are tiny constructs

Sefu still has turn, Silver bullet is still deciding on something, then dolls 3 and 4 are up

Fighter (Rondelero Duelist) 1

Sefu flips up into a ready stance, falcata in hand. Buckler in front, he brings the curved blade down in a lofty arc, aiming for doll 4.

Attack, Flanking, Power Attack: 1d20 + 6 + 2 - 1 ⇒ (11) + 6 + 2 - 1 = 18 for Damage, Power Attack: 1d8 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 4 + 2 = 9

Male Human Fighter 7: spd:30, Init:7, AC:24, FF:20, T:15, HP:74/74, Fort:8, Ref:6, Will:4 (+2 vs fear)

lets see if if silver bullet can kill off number 4, so sefu does not provoke an AOO from standing up.

SB reloads his gun and fires again attack: 4 + 1d20 ⇒ 4 + (10) = 14
damage: 1d8 ⇒ 5
Given the circumstances, Sefu actually targets 3, since 4 was dead and kills it

They all crumble to the ground to ashes, there is a lot of loot to be gained from these things, tired for now, will post an update later with a round 51 start tomorrow.

There are also 5 chests to loot and a clay urn, none are trapped, but all are covered with wax, sealing them, you won't have to go through a lot of trouble getting the chests open and the urn, just try something unique and see if it works. Cut a hole into the chest and I'll see if I will let you. Melt the wax. Just try anything, you might be surprised of the result.

Nahoce hugs the "A" mask to her chest.

A sign! A sign from Pharasma! The Lady of Graves is pleased.

She smiles at her companions for perhaps the first time. She is claiming this mask in the name of Divine Providence.

And this spear, it's beautiful. She leaves the actual request to keep it unspoken.

She flits from item to item like an orphan girl at a fancy buffet.

This shield (the scarab one) is special.

Casting Detect Magic. She does not have any Spellcraft ranks -- any other skills might give information?

Fighter (Rondelero Duelist) 1

Sefu rolled his eyes at Nahoce. Well of course she's pleased with us. Wasn't it her priests who let us in here in the first place?

He makes his way over to one of the wax sealed chests. He puts the edge of his buckler up against the wax and begins lightly tapping the other edge with the flat of his blade, making a kind of improvised chisel and hammer. Going about his work delicately, he continues. I frankly don't care who or what might be pleased so long as it doesn't stop us from selling anything and everything we find down here.
