Please feel free to continue deciding what happens with the two unconscious men, but I figured I'd move you on as well.

The door on the other side of the room with the wolf leads to more twisting halls. The first door you arrive at opens into a small chamber with a a pair of candles lying on the floor; a chair stands upright on one side of the room, while another lies on the ground a few feet away.

The hallway also continues around that room to the north, ending in a door. Sorry; don't have a map while at work. You can basically backtrack or there's one way to move forward.

If that's enough:
"More barnacles, skulking behind cover. I reckon we could take them if we had something similar, or we could just b*gger off"

If it isn't:
"Dunno. Ask Silvio"

Is there anything large nearby we could hold in front of us as a shield (not Silvio), then charge into the room?

OUCH!

Silvio looks more surprised than anything else as he sags to the floor from barrage of bolts. Fortunetly he is quickly up on his feet thanks to the fast reactions of Zstelian. Just enough healing to get me back to 20 :)

"It is no surprise that the corwards need to resort to such bastardly tactics when confronted with Silvio", he says then takes a breather before continueing. "Do you have some kind of magic trick to conceal our entry or perhaps disorient the cowards hiding inside?" Silvio asks Khazmia.

We wait a sec and if they don't come banging down the door...

Dargon looks to the patched up Silvio, "I'ma go draw their fire, ya charge in after."

Right before Dargon goes charging in, he looks to the half-orc, "Khazmia, if ya got any more tricks to keep 'em busy, don't be shy."

As Dargon enters the room he makes his way to his left, if possible, to make room for the others, and shouts out, "Cowards!" Deflect Arrows!!!

"I've got one of these..."

Sekathral displays his remaining thunderstone to Dargon.

"Want me to bung this in when you go for them?"

Unless instructed to the contrary (and assuming the Dragons don't come after us), Sekathral will throw the thunderstone at the party's foes as soon as Dargon makes his move

Dargon nodes to Sekathral in agreement.

"Wait, Dargon!" Kyson shouts urgently before lowering his voice. "Uhm, wait. Hold on."

Holding his holy symbol before him, Kyson casts Shield of Faith on Dargon. +2 deflection bonus to AC for 2 minutes.

Kyson nods and gets out of the lines of fire.

"Okay, Dargon...you're ready now."

Brave. Sarenrae bless him. Bless all of us.

"I can try," Khaz readies to cast a color spray through the door when it opens, preferably before anyone else goes in.

Seka/Khaz/Dargon?

RPG Superstar 2014 Top 16, RPG Superstar 2012 Top 16

Initiative:
Dargon: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18
Khazmia: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (18) + 3 = 21
Kyson: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
Sekathral: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Silvio: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6
Zstelian: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Locust Dragons: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

After Kyson bestows Sarenrae's blessing on Dargon, the dwarf opens the door. Before Sekathral or Khazmia has a chance to react, the bolts fly, but Dargon's able to deflect the only one that flies true.

Moments later, Sekathral throws the thunderstone and Khazmia casts her spell. Three of the Dragons cry out at the loud bang, two of them then falling unconscious at Khazmia's spell. Leaving four thieves still conscious, one of them deaf.

Dice rolls:

Dragon attacks:
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 2 = 20
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 2 = 13

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 2 = 10

Dragon Fort saves:

1d20 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 2 = 19
1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 4

1d20 ⇒ 7
1d20 ⇒ 8
1d20 ⇒ 18
1d20 ⇒ 14
1d20 ⇒ 19

I think we'll call that a suprise round, leaving us at the start of Round 1, with Dargon standing right in front of the door. Also, thanks to the various held actions in the surprise round, Initiative order will be the rogues, Dargon, Sekathral, Khazmia, Kyson, Zstelian, Silvio.

Kyson uncovers his eyes slowly, peeking through his fingers to see how dead Dargon is.

Oh, he's less dead than I thought he would be. Good for him. Probably Sarenrae's work. Good for her too!

Kyson will take total defense.

I'll get in there next turn. Definitely. After its safe.
