Update Re: Linah!
I'm currently on vacation up until the 12th of may. Normally that would mean a decrease in posting frequency, but since my job isn't getting in the way it will instead mean a slight increase! So I hope to be posting regularly the comming week and hopefully my workload will allow me to continue to do so even when I get back.

That scary moment when you think you've lost the module!
I'm searching all over the house in the various spots I usually leave it. Figure, crap, maybe I left it at work? No luck. I'm thinking I must've accidentally recycled it -- and then I think of one more place to work: The actual place I keep all my gaming stuff.
This is why I never put things away; they're impossible to find when I do that.

Sorry sorry sorry. Between work and company I just lost track of how long I'd been away.

Kyson Tirc |

Is it about time to end this campaign? If we're not going to play, we should end it and enjoy it for the times and memories we created while we played with passion.
Kyson is ready to go...but this pacing is killing my sense of story and character.

I'd like to hear answers, though I know part of it is on me.
Definitely a downside to higher-level campaigns is combat is more time-intensive, especially if I have to play for one of the PCs too (botting a character at first level is easy; at this level, it's much more work). It's on my list to do this afternoon -- I have to walk the dog and take a nap first, since I had to get up early and run an errand first thing in the a.m. -- but I think it's hardly a surprise that we've slowed down over the latter half of the campaign. I'm still willing to keep playing and try to come to a better stopping point, but maybe there's more aggravation than it's worth?

Khazmia Makuhuzdia |

There's a bit of most of us in the slow down, and a bit of summer and a bit of high level. I'm ok with whatever works best for you, Motte.

I'm personally fed up with Pathfinder (and have been so for one and a half, maybe two years?). To many rules and effects that really don't do that much except exaggerate the numbers. With that said I would like to end the campaign on a higher note and at a suitable point in the adventure.
Although if that point is a year or so away then I think it's not worth it.

My schedule gets a little crazy the next few weeks.
I'm off to NYC tomorrow, though may have time to update if I'm not too tired when I get home.
Then I'm working day shifts all next week; I'm hoping I have energy to update when I get home Monday and Tuesday.
Wednesday, the ol' ball and chain gets home from med school for 10 days, so I don't expect to update at all Wednesday-Friday nights (Aug. 17-19).
After that, I'm on vacation until Aug. 28. Usually we take a little time to ourselves each day so I'd say there's a 50/50 chance of me updating during that time Aug. 20-28.
Then I have to go to Hartford for training Aug. 29-31. I think I'll have time to update those days but I'll be using a work laptop, so am not 100 percent sure.
I expect to resume normal posting behavior Sept. 1, and don't think I'll have anything to disrupt it again until mid-October.

Posting update: This thursday I'll spend the day flying over the Atlantic, so I will probably not post then. Posting might be spotty on friday. Could also be a bit spotty the following week up to the 29th of november, although I think I'll manage to keep up (except for the 27th and 28th of november). I'll be back to normal on the 30th of november.
If Linah is holding things up in that period, feel free to move things along.

Well, lady and gentlemen, that'll wrap us up. After just about five years and one month and with more than 8,600 posts, we're done.
I know we struggled a bit at the end and I'm sorry we couldn't quite play the whole AP, but I really had a good time with this campaign. Impressively, almost all of you went the entire distance (Khaz joined us a few months in) -- we had a few other folks who disappeared quickly (anyone remember the gnome we started with? Or the dwarf?), but in a format that seems to have tons of people coming and going (I don't think my Kingmaker game has any original players left) I think we had an impressive feat here.
I've played/am playing with some of you elsewhere, but Patrik, since I know you're kind of done with Pathfinder, I did just want to take a moment to say I really enjoyed playing with you both here and in Kingmaker. Silvio was a great deal of fun, and a character I might certainly pay homage to one day (i.e. copy the hell out of him).
--
I'll leave the game thread up through the end of the week or so, in case anyone wants to write any epilogues (Zstelian at least found love, but will Kyson go back home?) or say anything else, but will probably close it in the next 4-6 days.

Motte, thank you so much for running this campaign and pulling together an ending worthy of your hard work and dedication.
While life changes have significantly changed my play time and focus, I enjoyed playing with all of you and wish you great gaming in the future.

Sekathral |

I second that - thanks firstly to Motte, and also to everybody else, for making this such a fun campaign to play in :)
Hope to see you all around in future!
(Not a very Sekathral-y thing to say... But there you go. May try to come up with another farewell post with more swearing in it)

I missed the closing of this thread because of my vacation but I have to echo the sentiments above. It's been really fun (despite the rules system... :), so much so that I had no idea it's been an ongoing afair for more than five years :)
I had a really good time and I think Motte did an excellent job GM:ing! Feel free to copy Silvio :)
