Kyson Tirc |

Kyson will get in line at the back.
Ain't no way I'm going first if there are ghosts down here.
Marching order: Silvio, Dargon, Sekathral, Zstelian, Finn, & Kyson Let's move.

Dargon Dolgrinson |

Dargon's leading - I'd probably better go near the front in case the door's locked, so third - behind Finn? "We'd better check that door out before we open it - Dargon, can you see through the keyhole at all?" I'm assuming that there IS a keyhole...
Dargon would likely listen at the door and leave it at that. Looking through the key hole would feel ridiculously too careful for the thickheaded dwarf.
Dargon goes to open the door, looking back at the party just long enough for them to give any objections. In case, someone else notices something he didn't. Then proceeds through the door.

Entering the room -- a 10-foot wide passageway that runs about 35 feet east to west with double doors at both ends -- all seems calm. Then a load moan suddenly rises above the steady drip drip drip of the water.
Shambling out of the shadows at both ends of the room come four humanoid figures. At first it seems as if they just have an odd gait, but you quickly realize that under the tattered, moldy remnants of their clothing, the flesh is barely clinging to the men's bones. Whoever these people were, they're no longer alive!
Their maws gape wide as they reach for you, made all the more horrible as one says in Mwangi-accented common, "sooooo hungry."

Kyson delays, awaiting their rapt obedience to his thoughtful requests.

Kyson: 23
Silvio: 19
Sekathral: 18
Finn: 16
Dargon: 11
Zstelian: 6
Hungry zombies: 2
The walking dead appear interested in Kyson's offer of food and continue to shamble toward the group, jaws gaping and arms outstretched.
Before they can get near, Silvio charges toward one of the creatures, his blade easily slipping through its rotten studded leather armor. 6 hp damage Sekathral moves to attack the same zombie, but can't find his mark as he tries to avoid being hit by the other creature.
Finn throws his gourd at the two zombies coming from the other direction, and a burst of foul smelling steam erupts from the zombie as the explosion ignites its sodden form. The creature moans as it burns, while the zombie next to it flinches back momentarily from the burst of flame. 5 hp damage, 4 hp splash to creature next to it.
As Dargon throws his ax, missing the zombies, he can't quite place the accent -- it's not one he's heard before, so could be even older than the dwarf.
Zstelian has more luck, though, as his javelin hits the zombie who was caught in the outer limits of Finn's exploding gourd. The shaft passes halfway through the creature, but seems to have little effect other than rocking it back a step. 3 hp damage, 7 total
Despite the javelin poking through its midsection, however, the zombie continues to get close, along with its companion. They move toward Dargon and Zstelian, maws gaping as they unsuccessfully try to bite the two interlopers.
The other two zombies attack the closest sources of food near them, one managing to bite Sekathral. 5 hp damage It tries to grab the elf, but the slime its coated with seems to make it hard for it to get a grip. Grab failed; was no AoO

Kyson throws a ball of flame at a zombie, who seem to ignore his entreaty. The creature, already burning from Finn's bomb, smolders more as the flames lick its sodden form. 5 dmg, 10 total
Silvio and Sekathral slash the zombie between them, cutting blows slicing the undead horror into pieces, which fall with a wet plop to the floor and stop moving.
Dargon's blow cuts into the smoking zombie, a final indignity to the battered corpse, which falls to the ground, finally meeting its final rest.
Zstelian hacks into the zombie attacking him, cutting deep and sending flesh flying 6 hp damage, 13 total, but the creature continues to move, though Zstelian easily fends off its attack. Kayle, letting loose a piercing cry that echoes through the hall, rips into the creature attacking her master, but though she rips a chunk of flesh out, it seems to not even notice the damage.

As Kayle does enough damage to stop the zombie attacking her master, Silvio and Sekathral hack at the zombie between them, sending chunks of flesh flying, though not doing enough to end its threat. 12 hp damage total
Dargon moves in to try to finish it off, but his blade seems to hit a less-rotten chunk of the creature's armor and does no damage. Silvio and Sekathral are already flanking, so no chance there.
It tries to bite Dargon, but isn't able to get the tough dwarf, and before it can do anything else, the three companions hack it down.
The room falls silent except for the steady dripping as the foul smell of rotting corpses permeates the damp air. Kyson, when you go to check, the corpses don't appear to be so much bleeding as leaking bodily fluids onto the ground.

Kyson looks around to the rest of the party before backing away from the corpse, wiping his hand on his armor as if trying to remove some undead smear from his hand.
"I thought they were joking." Kyson says with disgust. "Well, if they died here, so surely shall we. Who wants to pray with me?"

Sekathral |

Sekathral stares at him. "Dieing doesn't feature much in my plans - neither does praying, but you knock yourself out. My religious duty consists of inflicting a supremely painful vengeance on that Vanthus bastard, and I can only do that if I'm upright and breathing. I'm going to check out those doors"

There are two sets of double doors, correct?

Sekathral |

Thanks - missed that. I'm examining the eastern set of doors at the moment, in that case - I'll move on to the others once I've discovered whether or not anything's there
"That is a nasty bite you took, my friend", Silvio tells Sekathral. "Silvio told you about the perks of real armor. Look, not even a scratch!"
"Real armour!" Sekthral snorts. "The only reason they never hit you was that they were too busy checking their reflections in your lovely shiny bosom. You look like a tengu jewellers after an earthquake"

Kyson Tirc |

Kyson looks confused as no one else kneels to pray for quick, painless death with him.
"We're not going to die?" Kyson asks, confused.
Things were much less zombietastic and confusing in the monastery.
Kyson gets to his feet and follows the others to the doors.

Zstelian Karela |
"What's more troubling is how those things got down here", Zstelian says as he wipes the foul corruption from his blade. "Monsters like that don't show up on their own."

Silvio Callgari Pazzi |

"They tripped. They fell", Silvio suggests with a casual shrug. "And now they are dead. No, Kyson my friend, we are not going to die. These things where common men, they where not us. They lack Silvio's ingenuity, his passion, his skill! Just look how they are dressed. Beyond those doors lies freedom. When Sekathral presses his ear against the door he can hear the city crying out for Silvio, their lost hero. But do not worry Elender, Silvio will return!" he announces to everyone and no one proving that eventhough the chelaxian has many words in his vocabulary, "dispair" is not among them.

Kyson Tirc |

Silvio, you bust me up.
Kyson steps back from Silvio, nodding his head slowly in agreement lest Silvio poke him again, slightly inspired by the man's confidence.
Okay, we're not dead...yet.

Sekathral |

"What's more troubling is how those things got down here", Zstelian says as he wipes the foul corruption from his blade. "Monsters like that don't show up on their own.
"Sekathral takes his ear from the door and turns to Zstelian. "Well" he says, "Nice out of the way place if you want to dispose of someone inconvenient. Nice out of the way place if you're the sort of sick bastard who likes fiddling around with corpses. Bet Vanthus falls into both categories, blast his putrid soul"

Finn, other than the rotting armor, the zombies have nothing on them. You don't think rotting undead human flesh is used in any reagents that you're aware of.
Dargon, the doors stick for a moment as you try to pull them , but with a mighty heave, you're finally able to get them open.
On the other side is a massive chamber -- extending farther than the light from your torch. Who's holding the torch, btw? From the entrance, you can see a pair of great wooden pillars rising up to support the ceiling, which sags dangerously in places and it think with hanging strands of fungus.
With your enhanced eyesight, you can see several more pillars deeper in the hall and perhaps what looks like another door at the far end.
A rippling pool of water reaches halfway into the room from the southern wall. It looks like a wooden pier once extended into the pool, but all that remains now are several rotting wooden pilings protruding from the water. You can also see something floating among the pilings, though you can't make out what from this vantage point.

Sekathral leaves the easternmost set of doors and walks over to Kyson and Finn. He looks nervous. "Before we go on, have either of you two got anything good for zombie bites, or shall I just drink this?" , holding up his healing potion.

Dargon steps further into the room as he points out to the others what he sees, "There's a door at the other end and some water over there."
