Zstelian closes in on the creature, but slips on a small remaining puddle on the floor, throwing his aim off badly and leaving him open. Before the creature can counter, Linah follows close on his heels, blade cutting deeply.
The creature, bleeding badly now, focuses on the greater threat, spear stabbing repeatedly toward Linah but she's able to turn it aside with amazing dexterity, though she does take one wound, blood sizzling along her side as the spear hums with anarchic energy. Yeah, I don't know what that'd actually look like either... 22 hp though.
Kyson's healing washes over the party, as Sekathral adds in a liquid kicker.

Sekathral, a stone trapdoor with a broad iron ring is set in the masonry of the floor near the statue.
Kyson, a large amount of the creature's gear appears to be magic, including its chain shirt, spear, a headband, a ring, a periapt and a circle of black cloth. It also appears to have a gold unholy symbol of Demogorgon that would likely be worth a fair amount of money 500 gold.

Linah catches Sekathral in a warm embrace. ”I am so glad that you are all right. You had me worried when the creature bit into you”, she says with relief in her voice. Keeping the elf in her grasp the paladin releases a wave of positive energy that heals part of the wounds of those standing nearby.

Sekathral is rather surprised when Linah embraces him - still more so when he feels his gashes knit together and bruises vanish as a result. He mutters his thanks, while thinking Besmara's salty ***t, get a monopoly on that and you'd make a ****ing fortune
He narrows his eyes at Zstelian when the ranger instructs him to put on the amulet, but does as he's told.
"Am I supposed to grow ***ing wings or start reciting ****ing poetry or what? What's this bloody object do, mate?"

Kyson checks on the headband, the only item that Zstelian was not easily able to identify. He opens the portable hole to see if there is anything therein.

Anyone else get terrible latency trying to reach paizo.com? Everytime I try to update I get a time out
Linah still hasn’t gotten fully used to Sekathral’s colorful language and flinches slightly at each curse word. But her mind is occupied with the unholy symbol of demogoron lying on the floor before her. The item should be destroyed or cast into oblivion, but she lacked the tools to destroy it. She didn’t want to carry it either. You never know what kind of influence such an item could have on a person.
Snapping back into focus when Khazmia encourages the party to move on, Linah kicks the unholy symbol into the debris in one of the corners. ”I am ready as well. We need to finish this”, she says and takes point down the trapdoor.

Yeah, I'm getting lots of goblins the last few days... :(
My understanding is Seka took the ring and sword; Kyson took the armor.
Recovered and still determined to end any threat, Linah opens the trap door, leading into an even-larger chamber below.
The sticky heat and pulsing walls of the cloying room augment perfectly the revolting stink of bile mixed with crude oil. Four pools of putrid black muck bubble and spurt in the floor, their edges determined by either rigid stone blocks or dimples in the fleshy ground. Four pillars separate the pools and hold the sagging flesh of the ceiling aloft.
Within the basins of roiling foulness float pristine black orbs, each the size of a man's head and shimmering with an unsettling inner light.
As you descend and look around, one of the pools of blackness suddenly boils and writhes, and you see something emerge, a thing half-centipede and half-squid, with a single alien, black eye staring fathomlessly from an octopoid head. Curled upon itself like a titanic shrimp, the thing glistens like a scarab's shell even as it bathes itself in an endless flow of oily black drool.
It's a bilewretch of Holashner, a horrid aberration sculpted from unknowable samples harvested eons ago from Holashner itself.

Kyson, you barely remember reading about these in a moldy old tome that you were recopying before it fell apart. Happily, you thought, you were able to forget most of it because it was giving you nightmares. Well, that was happily until right now, when your old nightmare seems to have become real and is right in front of you...
You can remember that weapons affect it normally and that -- in your dreams at least -- it would breath out streams of a black oily substance that would eat away at anything they hit, AND burst into flame when they were exposed to air. The stuff was even more dangerous to paladins and creatures like archons. The breath weapon does acid and fire damage in a line, doing double damage to lawful creatures. Oh, and it's a little sticky so does more damage the following round. It really gave you a LOT of nightmares.

As he does, the creature spews a line of black liquid toward Zstelian and Khazmia, the stuff tingling as it is stopped by Kyson's spell until it suddenly ignites into actual flame! 18 hp acid damage and 23 hp fire damage; DC 25 Reflex save halves both

Like Khazmia, the ranger continues to burn from the black bile both take 11 hp acid, 8 hp fire damage as the stuff sloughs off them; Reflex DC 25 negates this damage.
Despite the goop, Khazmia casts her spell, the ray blasting out and coruscating over the creature, which ducks below the surface of the oily mass, disappearing from sight.

That’s cool. I actually planned to place myself where Zstelian is standing since I suspected that there was possibly another creature hiding in there, but I should have been more clear. The creature just gets to survive one round longer, no biggie :D

Despite the pain from being slammed by the monster’s tentacle, Zstelian gives a sharp whistle sending his avian companion back into the air.
