As Kayle flies out the entrance, Zstelian tosses another blade toward the golem, the circle again seeming to bounce off its stone form.
Ksyon moves closer even as Sekathral beats a hasty retreat, drawing the golem forward, into range of Khazmia's attack, but the spell seems to simply fizzle as she touches it didn't beat its SR.
Unfortunately, she also finds herself in range of its tentacles and they lash out toward her, one wrapping around her briefly before it drops her as she goes limp when the other three brutally slam into her seemingly diminutive form. 52 hp, which should put her at -5; also need three DC 16 Fort saves or lose 1d4 Con for each tentacle.

my understanding is that is -4 to con, which is 2hp per level, which puts her at -21 to her current 11-4=7 con.

Kyson Tirc |

Kyson screams silently as the squishing tentacles squish his princess. A cascade of cracking bones and squirting blood all but drowns out the yell that Kyson would do if he could.
OH SARENRAE!!! NOOO!!!
Going to slow play this, waiting for Zstelian. This is too big and important.

Zstelian Karela |
I wanted to be a bit further forward last turn. I only took one attack so I could be in melee this turn.
Taking the AC option from Fervor.
Seeing the princess viciously attacked, Zstelian curses. He holds his blessed weapons defensively and moves up to defend her immobile form. Desna, give me a hand here!
Total defense and moving up within 10 feet. AC 29 currently (31 if it's evil).
Recovering from her moment of panic, Kayle wheels in the air and sets her sights on the monstrous construct.

Sorry, Zstelian. You were further up. I think I moved the wrong icon. You could have attacked in Round 3, though it would provoke an AoO if you wanted to move into range. Alternatively, you could have moved up to 10 feet away, and do the total defense (setting you up to try for a five-foot step and attack next round). I'm going to hold off on its attacks until I know which you'd have preferred since it'll affect your AC.

Kyson calls on Sarenrae's power, healing Sekathral, but the energy seems to do nothing for Khazmia, the princess' valiant spirit seeming having fled her body.
Zstelian moves closer, taking up a guard position as he prepares to bat away the creatures' tentacles, while Sekathral reloads his pistol.

Their enchanted blades seeming to carry the day, Zstelian and Sekathral slam them home again and again, the golem suddenly cracking under the pressure, dropping Zstelian as it slowly falls to pieces.
As it disintegrates, a shadow seems to lift off you, a weight coming off your shoulders and your breath seeming to come more easily even as your mourn the slain Khazmia.
Whew. Zstelian can do some serious damage when he wants to.

Zstelian Karela |
Zstelian sags under the weight of his injuries and the seemingly endless task ahead of him. He’d lost so many but there wasn’t time for self-pity yet. The old ranger says nothing as he firmly removes Kyson from Khaz’s remains and scoops her up. ”Let’s get her out of here.”
”Seka, think you and Kyson can carry Silvio?”

Sekathral |

Sekathral eyes Howlin' Kyson's pipe-cleaner arms and purses his lips, then produces a bottle and pours a substantial slug of whisky down Kyson's throat before he has a chance to object.
"That'll sort you out. You carry the lass, mate - we'll manage. Come on, Kyson. You take his arms"
He pauses for a second.
"Hold on - let's just see if there's anything worth lifting left in here"

Sekathral takes a quick look around, noticing a small crucible on the dais where the statue had been. While it mostly contains ashes and charred bits of pulverized bone, the elf finds two rings at the bottom, one mounted with a thumbnail-sized diamond, the other cunningly made to look like a pair of entwined quetzalcoatls. You also each find another level hidden in the suddenly guttered fire pit.
Collecting your dead, you leave the deadly tomb to a strange sight -- the sun! The oppressive fog seems to have burned off, and you're greeted by the colonists cheering your return, though their joy stops as they realize Khazmia did not make it back.

Zstelian Karela |
Outside, Zstelian is grim and wordless as he bundles the bodies of Silvio and Khaz and builds simple platforms to drag them on. He says a brief prayer to Desna as he ties the final knot, ”Dreamer, grant us the strength to see this journey to its end. May we all meet again, in this world or the next.” The old ranger finishes by gently caressing Kayle’s feathers with the back of one hand before sending her into the air again.
”Let’s go. We’ll never get to Farshore standing around here.”
If Avner says even a word, Zstelian will be laying him out and tying him to the stretcher too.

Kyson Tirc |

Kyson slaps Seka's hands away from Khaz's body.
"Leave 'er alone! I got her! I GOT HER!" Kyson says, snuffling and crying, straightening Khaz's hair as she lies dead.
"I'll get her," Kyson says as his sobbing subdues. "I can carry her back. I'll do it."
Gingerly wrapping up all of Khaz into her dress, Kyson delicately lifts her and begins to airwalk her of out his demoncave.

Once you're ready, Zstelian leads the way south, the travel seeming far easier now that you've broken the horror laying over the Fogmire. By the end of the day's march, you are rewarded with a wide trail, which Zstelian realizes is no mere game trail -- it's a poorly maintained but nonetheless recently used trail running northwest to southeast.
"Oh, I recognize this!" Urol pipes up, speaking for the first time you can remember that day. "It leads to Tanaroa if we go that way." -- he points to the southeast. "They should help us, I think."
Following the road takes a couple of days, but you finally reach the end of the trail: A 50-foot-high wall of stone blocks, stretching as far as you can see in both directions. A pair of massive wooden gates stand in the center.

Zstelian Karela |
Spotting the walls, Zstelian enjoys a deep breath, maybe for the first time in weeks. ”Who lives in Tanaroa? Locals or colonists like in Farshore?”

Zstelian Karela |
Has Avner been behaving or is he currently tied to the stretcher?
Zstelian nods in understanding. Whoever these locals were they had to either be extraordinary strong or clever to survive the hellish island. The old ranger tucks the dagger he’d drawn into his sash and leads his way toward the walls.
He calls Kayle down and offers her a morsel of food.

He's been behaving. He seems slightly more at ease and thus bearable since the fog dissipated.
There are many people, an entire flock, and houses. And more land.
As Zstelian approaches, he sees a pair of dark-skinned humans step up and look over the wall. One calls out in a harsh voice in a language you don't understand.

Zstelian Karela |
Frowning at the awkward introduction, Zstelian looks down toward the resident gnome.

Kyson Tirc |

The first is not magical, just probably really valuable; the second is a ring of protection +2; there is no third ring.
Kyson cries a bit harder as he realizes that the third ring is just the watery illusion caused by his own tears. His morning prayers are very different the next day, in addition to praying for protections for his friends, but also for guidance on what to do for Khaz and Silvio.
He looks at the wrapped body of Khaz to his left, and then to the wrapped body of Silvio to his right and sighs.
Silvio finally comes to morning mass.
When finished praying, he casts Gentle Repose on Khaz, his heavy heart hopeful that the guidance from his prayers is correct. Summoning Seka and Zstelian, he shares his wisdom.
"I prayed. I prayed to the Sun. She says that Khaz's work in the Sun is not done. And that she has taken brave Silvio to Pharasma, guiding his path with sunlight. That is what I know," Kyson says.
"We build a pyre for Silvio. Khaz, I will carry. She will be my burden until sunlight lightens her green skin again and her underfangs rejoice in the morning air."
Kyson will say a few words for Silvio, then light the pyre.

Kyson Tirc |

As Zstelian approaches, he sees a pair of dark-skinned humans step up and look over the wall. One calls out in a harsh voice in a language you don't understand.
Kyson gently sets down his burden, Khaz, still grateful for Sarenrae's aid (Ant Haul) in the journey.
The thought of town and people and a warm bed fills his head and speeds his feet towards the gates.
If Urol can't communicate with them, Kyson will cast airwalk and walk up closer, using his symbol of Sarenrae and his linguistics to try to earn entry and communicate.

Passing through the wall, you travel another quarter-mile and come to a small village. Four groups of huts are set at four equidistant points around a central stone pyramid. As you approach, numerous people of all ages turn and stare at you, clearly not used to outsiders here.
The man leads you to one of the groups of huts, gesturing for you to enter a large building, which has a stylized carving of an ape on its lintel.
Inside, you find a single woman, who oddly looks Keleshite!
You were disappointed to discover that your trip to Farshore at the command of your church may have been for naught. However, refusing to give up hope and believing in her heart that her heroes and the colonists hadn't all died, Lavinia sent you north to the Olman village of Tanaroa to wait to see if they arrived. You've been here for some short time, treated well by the villagers, though largely left alone.
The village is small; only 400-some people; with a 200 gp limit on goods. That said, you could certainly get materials for inks and possible some other small things.

Kyson Tirc |

Kyson rejoices as he is successful in getting in the village, his mind with images of inns and beds and soft blankets (yes, even in this heat, Kyson wants some damn nice blankets) and good cooked food (and his magical crap that he's been creating daily).
He almost runs to the large building, hoping it is the in where the scones of welcoming are surely being prepared. He gets halfway there, then remembers his duty and runs back to get Khaz' body and hauls that with him.
Seeing the Kelshite looking woman, Kyson is greatly relieved...someone he can talk to who probably knows things.
"Hi! I'm Kyson! Can you tell us where the scones and cookies are?"

Sekathral |

Sekathral lopes into the village, looking around him, then turns to one of the natives, miming someone emptying a bottle down their throat.
"What does a cove have to do around here to get a decent ***king drink around here? My throat's as dry as the gusset of Pharasma's bloomers."
Upon entering the hut...
"Alright, mate?", he says to the Keleshite. "What are you doing here?"
I imagine the chances of finding the raw materials for blackpowder are more or less zero?

Zstelian Karela |
Zstelian does a double take at the sight of the woman.
"You're not a native. Are you from Farshore?" the old ranger asks hopefully.

Linah Jamil'Kaid |

Inside, you find a single woman, who oddly looks Keleshite!
The woman sits by a pot of slowly cooking stew reading a book when the party enters. She is clothed in the blue, red and yellow colors of Sarenrae accompanied by a scabbard holding a scimitar hanging from her belt. The woman is somewhere in her middle twenties with olive skin and a kind face made for smiling. Dropping the book he quickly rises to her feet having a hard time masking her excitement of the party’s entrance. She composes herself and curtseys gracefully greeting you with a genuine smile. ”Well met, Kyson. I am Linah Jamil’Kaid. I am afraid that I am a poor baker and scones and cookies are beyond ability”, she says with a melodic keleshite accent.
"Alright, mate?", he says to the Keleshite. "What are you doing here?"
"You're not a native. Are you from Farshore?" the old ranger asks hopefully.
”I travelled to Farshore on behest of my church. When word of your adventures reached the monastery from which Kyson comes there was some concern raised of his safety. I have been sent here to make sure that remains safe during his travels. I was to late to catch you before your expedition departed and when I arrived at Farshore I was saddened to hear that your ship never made it there. Lavina told me of the storm that separated your ships and she still held a firm belief that you had survived bad weather. She beseeched me to travel to Tanaroa to look for you.”
@Kyson/Motteditor: Let me know if there’s something you want me to change
@Motteditor: How “Pathfinder Chronicled” is this island? Trying to decide what book Linah is reading wondered if it could be a Pathfinder Chronicle about the island or some part of the island, or something relating to the island.

YES!!! Add that your thoughtfully brought scones and cookies with you for just such an emergency!

"What!? They send you to look for me? ME!?" And they didn't send scones!? Kyson looks flummoxed and confused.
"They heard what about me? Am I in trouble?!" Kyson looks afraid. "I didn't mean anything by it! Seka made me swear! HE DID IT!! HE MADE ME!!!!" Kyson steps away from Seka.
"I'm sorry I called him poopy pants or whatever I called him! It was a one time thing! I've been good, I promise! I even stopped the other thing so I wouldn't go blind!"

Linah, it's still mostly unexplored. The chronicle more might be rumors about it, though there would be some observations on flora and fauna from a gnomish explorer named Urol Forol.
Seka, later that evening, you're able to find the ingredients and can settle down to craft after dinner, which the natives bring you, though there's a distinct lack of scones or cookies with it.
With the food come an older man and woman, clearly some sort of authority figures.
The woman nods and points to herself, saying, "Oloye j'kal," and her companion, "Titunto si ti ku mvembi."
The man nods, the many fetishes -- a disturbing number of them skulls and bones -- clacking as he does so.
She's introducing herself as Chief J'kal, and the man as Zombie Master Mvembi.
