Sekathral manages to pull himself out of the blob's grasp as Kyson airwalks up over his and Silvio's heads and blasts the creatures with fire.
Seconds later, Khazmia's fiery rays hit and like the first blobs, they end up as nothing more than smears on the floor.

I, too, am pleased that Silvio and Seka are expendable resources. We'll be sure to use them up before getting to the good stuff (Kyson).
Kyson pumps his fist up until the stench of burnt ooze hits his nostrils.
"Ooh! That smells bad! What did it eat to make it smell like that?" Kyson covers his nose. "I mean, outside of Seka, of course."
"B$@~%~@s...bad words...invectives...good point...swear words, etc."
Kyson nods along with Sekathral, wincing much less than he used to at the colorful language.
"I'll go with you to look at the water," Kyson airwalks over the water as he looks in (casting Detect Magic).
"Hey Seka. Remember that time you saved me from drowning? And then remember that time I saved you from the blob thing? Remember that? Sarenrae probably wants us to keep working together, huh? I mean, if we want to live, huh? I want to live. And go back to the monastery, too."

Kyson's spell reveals a single magical aura, which turns out to be a slightly mold-covered greenish brass shield, the front worked to look like an open dragon's mouth.
Its an acid wyrmsbreath +2 heavy steel shield.
A shield with the wyrmsbreath special ability is keyed to one type of energy (acid, cold, electricity, or fire). The shield gains 1 charge for every 5 points of damage from the keyed energy type the wearer takes. On command, the bearer can expend 1 to 5 charges from the shield to have it create a breath weapon in a 15 foot cone dealing 1d4 points of energy damage per charge expended (Reflex DC 11 half). This damage is the same type as the shield’s keyed energy type. A shield can store up to 5 charges at a time, and stored charges expire harmlessly after 24 hours. A shield cannot have more than one wyrmsbreath ability.

He pauses a moment to watch Kyson descend from the ceiling in a graceful arc
"Too right, laddie. You stick with me and you'll be right. Born to be hanged, we were, ha ha."
Then bends down to the floor to pick up something that fell out of the cleric's pocket as he swooped down
"Here, you dropped this."
He unfolds it, raises one eyebrow, then hands it back, smirking.
"Well, you've got an eye for detail, I must say, and that particular Princess does seem very grateful to her rescuer..."

I hope it summons maidens.

"It drinks in acid then you can belch it out! And it's magic! WOW!" Kyson looks around at all his shieldless companions. "Can I keep it?! I'll be like a hero, fighting off acid monsters!"
Kyson excitedly equips the shield (if no one else wants it).

Kyson will re-cast (and keep casting) light on Silvio's sword.
Kyson will follow (still air walking) Silvio on his mad quest for whatever Silvio seeks (adventure? death? damsels?).
"Yeah, I like my mighty shield. I can't wait to use it...but I'll do that from back here," Kyson agrees. "And I have this nice magical sword too! Soon I'll be a powerful warrior, just like uh..uhm..." Kyson's eyes go to Silvio, and then to Sekathral, and then to Zstelian, unable to find suitable purchase. "Just like that dwarf we used to know. You remember, the grumpy drunk one? Yeah, him."
Not sure where Silvio thinks we're going, but we'll follow. I think we need to try Seka on the locked door and/or Khaz's rod on the altars to see if we can get them open.

The door seems to be locked, and Sekathral's best effort to dislodge it don't seem to have any effect.
Khazmia's rod does fit into one of the altars, and you hear what sounds like clicking noises when you try to turn it, but you don't think it'll work without finding some rod to put in the other altar.

Sekathral claps the old ranger on the shoulder, then goes to work on the door.
After a few minutes of frustrating work, he gives up, clicking his tongue when he notices the effect Khaz's rod has.
"Yeah. Let's head north, mates"
Sekathral will stay slightly ahead of the party when they move off, attempting to do some scouting.

The door creaks open, revealing a small crypt dominated by a large stone sarcophagus. Both the walls of the room and the sarcophagus itself are covered in decorative patterns and carvings of animals. The top of the sarcophagus depicts a man dressed in robes, wearing a feathered headdress and clutching a blue rod in one hand and a ceremonial dagger in the other.
Before you can do anything else, though, you hear a woman's scream, "They're alive!" which is suddenly cut off. Skald's voice echoes through the halls: "Lirith!"
The noise prompts more screams from the rest of the colonists, who turn to rush out of the hallway!

As Kyson moves into the hallway, he catches sight of one of the wrapped figures -- a mummy! -- fighting with Lirith and Skald at the far end of the catacombs. And can give me a DC 16 Will save or be paralyzed by fear for 1d4 rounds
Silvio rushes toward the colonists, only to see them freeze in fear as one of the crypt things moves out of its niche and slams its fist into the first of the women, who lets out a cry of pain and falls to the ground! The cocky Chelaxian feels a spike of fear travel up his spine.
And can give me a DC 16 Will save or be paralyzed by fear for 1d4 rounds; if he succeeds, he'll be able to move 30 feet closer still this this round.
Khaz and Seka race the other way, where they can see a second mummy fighting Skald and Lirith, who now lies unmoving on the ground. And they can save too...
Zstelian, realizing the threat isn't in the room at all, rushes to join Silvio and protect the fleeing colonists -- several of whom are looking for safe harbor after hearing the screams from ahead -- pulling a chakram as he goes. And guess what he can do now...

Ignoring the two new arrivals, they continue their assault on the two closest figures, laying into Skald, who grunts in pain as he slashes helplessly in his efforts to keep them away from Lirith's crumpled form.
As Silvio freezes, Zstelian moves into action, calling on Desna's favor. As fast as he can move, though, it's not fast enough to save all the colonists. The nearest mummy rips into one of the already injured, terrified women, and she collapses in a heap.
