Has our dex damage healed? Or is it possible to get a lesser restoration in the town? I'm open to selling a few bits and pieces (that magic missile scroll, some others) if it means marching off in tip top shape.
I'm shocked at how few 2nd level extracts appeal to me. Taking elemental touch, because that gives me non-fire damage and rider effects without pigeonholing Argus with Shock Bombs for the rest of his career.
Taking Infusion as his new discovery, because that means he can share buffs or heals. For instance, he can give an elemental touch extract to someone with sneak attack, like say Shackleton.
I have had that problem with bards too, though all the bard spells I liked were 2nd level :)
I finally leveled Olive (which was relatively easy, since HD don't increase almost nothing else does either. :)
I realized I never chose feats, so I chose two: Combat Reflexes (can take 3 AoO) & Stand Still.
Added bite evolution (increasing Strength damage to 1.5 times; not a second bite attack), & ability increase (Str).

I'm not super familiar with the alchemist, but having recently dusted off my 3.5 books the Warlock had that in spades. 12 invocations in total, with serious scaling issues and most of the decent choices sandwhiched in the level 6-10 range. It wouldn't be quite so bad if the Extra Invocation feat allowed you to nab invocations of your highest level, but alas.
I'd hoped to unravel the mystery of why anyone had wanted to play them at my tables, but I'm still at a loss.
How immediately are we setting off? Argus's morning prep takes 2 hours (an hour for extracts and bombs to reset, an extra hour to replace his mutagen). Another two hours lets him replace the potion of cure light wounds he drank, but that's less inportant, since we also captured a few of those.
With an additional three hours, he can scribe cure moderate wounds into his formula book (I think 2x infused elemental touch is still the best actual preparation.)

It's a five hour journey on road to travel to the first four, and just as long to return. It depends if we want to lodge with one of our farmers or not, I imagine, but daylight's burning and I don't anticipate too much resistance.
We're probably overthinking this. :P

I'm sure there won't be any resistance. I mean, seriously, what could happen?
Argus will do his quickie prep, then. We need to get moving. He can brew the replacement potion on the road using the crafting while adventuring rules. He'll finish tonight.

Hey guys, I'm getting my office painted starting tomorrow so my posting may be a little spotty for a few days. (Of course, it's possible I move my computer and everything into another room, because 24 hours without being online could be too much for me.)
I hope it's not that Mikey guy. I heard one job took him 17 years... :)

Starting Thursday, my posting may be a bit limited. The ol' ball and chain's home through Jan. 3. I still expect I'll post during some of that time (I have to work some days and we don't tend to spend every single minute together) but if I'm slow on the uptake, that's why.
Oh man, I'm sorry to hear about your dog. Hope for a speedy recovery.

Hey guys, a couple scheduling notes:
I'll be out of town and away from my keyboard Feb. 14-19 for a trip to see the ol' ball and chain. Looking forward to breaking out the short sleeves.
My posting may be spotty the rest of this week, though I'll still endeavor to update daily. I've got a deadline coming up and a number of things to do before heading down, as well as a couple vet appointments for my dog.

As noted above, I'll be out of town through Thursday. Will update ASAP when I get home.
(The eagle has not completely disappeared, BTW. Sorry, I'd really hoped to be able to update this past week but combat is continuing...)
Just a heads up that I'll be camping over the easter long weekend and reception is incredibly temperamental. I have plenty of downtime to post, but may not have the means to do so from the 25th-28th. I should be able to squeeze in plenty of posts before that.

Sorry about the delays, guys. I have a big project I'm finishing up tomorrow and then I hope to have some more time and be better about posting.

The ol' ball and chain's home until May 1, so my posting may be a little spotty for the next 10 days. DM me as necessary. ;)
My phone broke, so I will not be lurking on the threads as much. My posting should stay the same except for weekends. Hopefully the replacement will keep that singular. :)

A few quick bookkeeping notes:
* I'm going to be out of town Friday-Monday. I plan to resume regular posting come Tuesday or Wednesday. We can continue to post today through Thursday, of course.
* I'm going to advertise for a replacement for Shackleton and hope to have someone ready to go after the weekend.
* And some bad news, I'm afraid: Obviously we've not kept the best pace up, in part because of me, I'll admit, though I don't think it's solely on me either. I've decided that I'm getting a little overwhelmed with the number of games I'm running and I'm going to make this a one shot, not a series of modules to bring us up to higher levels. I have every intention of finishing the module (we're not quite halfway through) but I won't be running other modules afterward. Sorry; I hope this isn't too disappointing but my feeling is we'd have trouble sustaining multiple modules anyway.

I've got two people planning to join in. Reminder that I'm away for the weekend but will resume game play come Tuesday, give or take a day or two.
That said, I would ask for you all to make sure you're committed to the game -- only one person has posted in the two days since my last post. Slow posting rates doom a game as we get into a vicious cycle. If you're not interested in continuing, I understand, but please let us know.

Hi everyone! Just dropping in to say hi and I am one of the people jumping into the game. Super excited to play with you all as it seems you have a good group. Thanks Mott for the invite and excited to get started.

Should be fun, Qiora and Xorrin are actually a pair of married halflings so the dynamics will be interesting.

The outwardly languid warcat lifted its head to sniff the air anew as his mistress had asked her questions.
When Rizu was satisfied by the smells around him, he made a deep growl/purr, but it was not much like the common house cat's. Its timbre seemed to pass along the skin of those around the table, unsettling them just a little with its resonance (except for Qiola and Xorrin who were most familiar with the sound).
