I don't know what the deal is, but apparently the message I posted a few days ago in each of the games I'm in did not send. I apologize. I still need t do a little catching up, but for the moment...
I'll step in and cast Bless on my turn.

Though it briefly moved, the Mwangi warrior trapped in mud resisted the call that brought the other undead back.
Do you want to direct your attack at the bronze-age legionnaire (also in range) instead? Did that include Angruf's inspire and Beckett's bless?

Fortitude: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Jak bites back a cry of pain from Taltuma-Matl's bite.
Assuming he still can after the thing's bite affects him, he strikes back with all his might:
Greataxe(Power Attack): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Damage: 1d10 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10
But the pain throws him off and his stroke goes wide.

Toren recovers from his shock at seeing the displays come to life. Seeing his companions the subject of attack, he yells and charges forward and swings his Bec de Corbin at the legionnaire with a rusty sword.
Charge up and swing weapon: 1d20 + 4 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 4 + 1 + 2 = 14

Julien steps up to the legionnaire and kicks the bronze plate.
Toren's charge similarly bounces off the undead's armor.

Seeing the remaining group in melee with these monsters, Angruf lays down his crossbow, and makes his way into combat. He hopes to distract the monsters, and provide some advantage to his comrades. Maybe even, if it is fated, do some damage himself.

I probably don't want to know, but any noticeable effects from my failed save?

Thovar cringes when he is wounded and takes a swing at the bronze legionnaire that struck him.

Elwyn rushes around a display case just as Angruf finishes off the protean Kellid. He stabs at the Qadarin and Thovar's hammer finishes the deed. Three of the undead have dropped, leaving only one.
The osirian, with a gleeful cackle chomps on Jak's flesh a second time and adds two claws to the mix.

Still staggered from the last bite, Jak manages to duck out of the way of the teeth and directly into the claws. He collapses to the floor with 2 deep gashes in his side.

Toren lowers the point of his polearm and charges forward, a few steps behind Julian. The sight of his comrade falling brings back terrible memories to him, he drops his shield and grips the Bec de Corbin with both hands.
Drop shield and charge.

Jak, does beckett's 2 hp heal put you at 0 hp? If so you are staggered and have options.
Julien runs forward stepping on the Qadiran to launch himself into the air. His flying kick lands on the Osirion's jaw and the head flips back like a game ball. The neck stretches painfully far, but rebounds in time to feel the metal end of Toren's charge. The creature hisses uncomfortably, but it does not drop.

"Jak, lemme look at that wound. Hmmmm...somethin' ain't right, friend. This is too red and puffy already. An' what're these purple...threads? I think yeh got some disease or somethin' from that filthy thing." Toren looks up from Jak's injury, "Who's got that wand o' mine...mayhap they can use that to some help on this thing."
Toren pulls his waterskin out and pours some water on the wound, "Sorry this ain't gonna feel too good." He takes a piece of an extra shirt from his pack and rips a piece off, binding the wound on Jak.

![]() |

Jak slowly rises to his feet, using his axe to lever himself up.
"Oh am I glad you finished him off. I really didn't want to fight him from the ground. Or try to stand up."
"Thanks Toren. And thanks for the offer of the wand. That'll at least get me back in fighting shape again, even it doesn't help with the disease or whatever it is."
Still moving slowly, Jak will take a look at the fallen Osirian's possessions and then into the case that held him.
Perception: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
If he doesn't find what he's looking for quickly, he'll go through the Osirian's stuff more carefully:

"That there looks like ghoul fever to me! An unfortunate disease... you'd best get that healed up. Wouldn't want it to get worse!"

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

What will folks be doing while Jak is taking 20?
The scarab on the Osirian’s chest has a hidden compartment. Its turquoise wings and jet carapace flip up from the gold mounting to reveal a bit of papyrus. It is the will of Taltuma-Matl.

![]() |

Zapping me a couple times with Toren's wand of CLW, perhaps? With his permission, of course.
Jak is still at 0 and obviously staggering around.
Jak grimaces as he takes the will, only smearing a little blood on it and muttering, "I hope this worth it."

![]() |

Thovar will look around and see if he can find any of the documents that he and his fellow Qadirans are looking for...
Take 20 Perception = 24

![]() |

Intrigued by Thovar's observation, and alarmed by Jak's condition, Angruf provides some additional aid to Jak.
"Definitely a ghoul, and they do carry a fever - are you sure that's it, or is that shoulder just a bit mauled? Here Jak, let me do at least a bit to ease that."
Angruf applies a CLW (1 of 2)
CLW: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

![]() |

Yep, whoever I gave my CLW wand to back in the beginning feel free to zap him up!
I suspect at this point whoever you gave it too has forgotten it. Can we just assume it gets passed to one of the casters? It doesn't really matter who uses it.

![]() |

I believe it was passed to me, and I did indeed forget completely about it. I was going to ask if anyone has any methods of healing, as I have exactly 1 option left (Channel Energy x1), and we still seem fairly early into this scenario. Maybe half way, but probably not to much further, is my guess.
I'll cast Guidance to help out as well, then renew my light spell.

![]() |

I have a +7 to heal, and if I can take 10, with Angruf's help, that would be a 19. 20 with Guidance. Is that doable?

Nothing of note to read here beyond the plaques detailing the exhibit's residents or what lives and deaths must have been like in the ancient past.
dinnae worry, you are getting warmer :)EDIT: removed the part about Jak or Thovar rolling the heal and telling Thovar how many charges to remove from his sheet, regardless of who is actually casting it :)

![]() |

Dropping to one knee, I begin to offer a soft meditative prayer, uttering soothing words in the celestial tongue. For a brief moment, a gentle, spiritual green mist, radiating with inner light rolls in, healing everyone.
Channel Energy: 1d6 ⇒ 3
I am now 100% out of healing.
With that done, I'll stand and begin to make my way towards the far door. Listening at it for a moment, then seeing if it is locked, without fully opening it.
Also, at DM, if you click on the figures/drawings/etc on the map once, and just hit delete, it will remove them from the map. I wasn't sure if you where leaving hem there for a reason or not. :)

![]() |

It's up to you, I would really honestly rather save my channel for a much more, uh, smart use of it, but I have no other options.

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

Aye, I would have suggested it if it was my wand :)
1d8 + 1 ⇒ (8) + 1 = 9

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

With that done, I'll stand and begin to make my way towards the far door. Listening at it for a moment, then seeing if it is locked, without fully opening it.
The door to this chamber was once a pane of expensive frosted glass, which now lies in broken shards on the floor. Within, several desks lie overturned, papers in disarray, and chairs smashed to kindling. A sturdy steel cabinet sits against the back wall, its doors much battered and dented. The mist here roils near the floor and ceiling, creating a strange patch of visibility stretching from knee-height to a few feet overhead. The smoky tendrils flow up and down the walls unnaturally and savage visages swirl to life, fanged mouths agape, before dissolving into mist once more.
Since the door is broken, visibility does not mean you need to enter. :)

![]() |

Thovar follows closely behind Beckett. "Worry not, friends. If need be I am also able to channel more of Abadar's divine power to heal our wounds."

Venture Teller Play b'Post |

Beckett and Thovar lead the way into what seems to be an office. Several desks lie overturned, chairs have been smashed to kindling, and papers are scattered in disarray. A sturdy steel cabinet sits against the back wall, its doors much battered and dented. The mist here roils near the floor and ceiling, creating a strange patch of visibility stretching from knee-height to a few feet overhead.
what does everyone want to do?

![]() |

I'll just advance further into the office, calling out "Art there any survivors here. We meaneth thee no harm." advancing somewhat cautiously.

![]() |

"I'll jes' stay by the door here, if'n yeh don't mind. I'd rather not get another lungful of that stuff...an' it's a lot closer to me than the rest o' you lot!" Toren stands by the door nervously, once in a while shooting a glance at the mist.

![]() |

Thovar is barely able to contain his excitement at finding the office. This must be where I'll find those papers! He advances, slowly at first, behind Beckett, but then spreads from the others out and begins to search among the scattered papers. "We should search this room thoroughly!" He will take his time (take 20 = result of 24).
