Toren growls in frustration and swings at the snake again, trying to motion to the person in front of him, "T'ain't nothin' but green smiles and fixer-uppers out on the stream!"

Toren's hammer smashes the snake and the coils around Julien loosen. The creature ceases moving and in the brief moment of calm following its death, it is easy to see several large bulges in the otherwise sinuous body. The bald man cackles with glee at the carnage and swings at Julien.

Toren, breathing heavily, starts to say something then decides to close his mouth. The smile normally splitting his beard is nowhere to be found. He bends (not too far of course) to grab his shield from the ground. He trundles towards the door to face the crazy old man with his shield.

Move action to pick up the shield, move action to move inside the door. I moved the snake off to the side of the map as I believe it is dead now.

Elwyn moves through Julien and attempts to put down the crazed man. I will move past him and Toren if necessary, and if possible into a flanking position and take AOO if I must.

Elwyn raises the butt end of his rapier and tries to bring it down on his head, trying to knock him out.

The stall gets in Elwyn's way, but he manages to circle almost around the man even as Julien's fist crashes into the man's skull. The flat side of Elwyn's rapier leaves a nasty welt on the balding head as well, but not before the man wastes an opening and strikes poorly.

I'm not sure if this can work or even if he'll get another save against it, but the Aid Another Combat rules imply it can help with saves, "when he is affected by a spell", so it seemed worth trying.
If not, we're in trouble. None of us are likely to hit him, especially non-lethal.

No PvP kind of gets iffy when it comes to Dominated/Charmed PC's and occasions lie this where the Player temporarily looses some or all control of the character. Normally he would get an AoO, and you would both take the damage, and also the damage you took would be an additional penalty to your original roll to Grapple. The Roll is your CMB (+ any bonuses specifically to Grapple) vs his CMD. <looks like 1d20+3 vs 16, so it kind of looks like we are all in the same boat, we just are very unlikely to do anything to affect him.

But his awkward attempt is laughable.
