Elektra Stardancer |

Elektra will finish a report about their investigations so far.
She will also ask Flynn and someone else get a decent map of magnimar so that one can plan ahead. Also find out where to buy magic weapons and scrolls and potions and also Foxglove manor.

Flynn Elric |

Could check the Bazaar of Sails, they usually have a good bit of merchandise, might have maps might not. We could ask around about this Foxglove townhouse, use some of this money grease some palms.

Brandark Plainswalker |

I agree, we can check there tomorrow, and see about selling and buying both equipment, and stores for us while we live here.
Treasure sheet is up to date, will compile list of sales in the discussion page

Uriana |

Uriana shows up at the door with a sketch artist around noon. Two other guards accompany her. When she sees Elektra, "Can you once again show us the image of the cult leader?"
Does Flynn introduce himself to Uriana or does he stay out of sight?

Flynn Elric |

he doesn't bother hiding, but he doesn't go out of his way to introduce himself

Brandark Plainswalker |

After a bit, Brandark goes back outside to start cleaning up the stables.
Will have to move the horses once this is done. Will also need someone to help keep it clean.

Uriana |

Uriana notices Flynn with a look of familiarity, "I don't recall seeing you here last night."
She then looks at Elektra, "The Lord Mayor is convinced that all that remains is finding the cult leader. But the surviving cultists we interogated last night denied knowing anything about murders. It is curious that our Cleric didn't detect any lies on them either. You wouldn't know anything more about this?" The Guard Captain looks at Elektra then over towards Flynn.

Flynn Elric |

He holds out his hand, smiling Me, i know very little. I came to offer my services as it seem our investigators here are without certain professions and skills. You can call me Thomas Filch, drifter. I heard about the murders and felt i should do something
bluff: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (7) + 12 = 19 Lying about his name and profession , he can't be certain who to trust quite yet

Garrath Tricks the Giants |

Garrath looks confused about greasing palms, "Couldn't we just ask the guards if they know where the Foxgloves live? If they're nobility, they should be known. We wouldn't need to pay them." The big man just shrugs.

Elektra Stardancer |

"I can only make deduct that they were low pawns, maybe just to guard this safehouse. Also we do know that our scourge was nothing more than an underling of some superior mastermind. Maybe the local tiefling is again nothing more than a pawn. To take the chess analogy nothing more than a low level knight or bishop!"

Flynn Elric |

Maybe they weren't involved at all, if they aren't lying according to your clerics that is. May i speak with them perhaps i can work something out from them, sometimes words can work their own kind of magic.

Uriana |

Uriana will look at Flynn, "Mr. Filch, the prisoners have already been sent to the "Hells" for their crimes. They may not have known about the murders, they knew plenty about the burglaries. Either way I can't help you."
It is a dead-end anyway. :)
When Stone asks about Pug's Contraptions, "Pug's Contraptions? Yeah, that is over in the Alabaster District." She will give you directions. "What is important about that place?"

Uriana |

Uriana and the sketch artist finish their task. Uriana speaks to Elektra, "If you learn anything more, let me know. And only me."
Where does the party go from here?

Brandark Plainswalker |

Coming in for a break Brandark agrees over the shopping.

GM Mazra |

Pug appears to be in his fifties, short and thin. He wears a blacksmith's apron over simple cotton clothes. The workshop is not big but an open door to to the back reveals he has a small forge. "Unless you want to buy something or you have a commission for me, I don't have the time," the man says as her appears to be constructing a very tiny lock for a very small box.

Stone sends up a silent prayer Touch of goodness +3
diplomacy: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18
Well it is about one of your commissions for Aldern Foxgloxe we are looking into his death.

Elektra Stardancer |

When leaving pug, Elektra smiles."Oh Stone, I never knew you had such a way with words. Good work. But business first, I think ... I think we will need any help ahead we can get in the near future!"

Flynn Elric |

Flynn stands by silently observing his new teammates making mental notes to himself.

Brandark Plainswalker |

I think we should get better gear, and equipment before we go see the foxglove townhouse.
He shakes his head.
Besides, look what happened when we went to lady Amiko's house here.

Brandark Plainswalker |

Well, when we got there, it was full of cultists that attacked us. A bit of a mess ensued, and now we got to clean it up.

Flynn Elric |

The mansion was full of cultists you say? I've been thinking on my own about something for a bit, indulge me for a bit. The murders are still going on and the mansion itself was being used, was their someone in control their? Also did they have any religious symbols of any sort? Flynn in an instant pull out a small journal flipping through the pages.

Brandark Plainswalker |

There was a boss. Symbols and the boss you will have to ask lady Elektra, as i did not get a clear look.

Flynn Elric |

Tell me, do any of you find it odd that the chest i unlock was filled with so many gems and valuables? If this was a murderous cult, it certainly doesn't seem to fit the correct profiles... That chest was incredibly well locked, indicating the cultists would probably be well versed in the art of locks and locksmithing. Flynn talks rapidly as if he is following a train of thought. quickly switching conversations.
Lady Elektra, please tell me everything you noticed about these cultists. specifically anything about they're religious symbols, weapons, anything of note. Flynn rushes over.

Elektra Stardancer |

Elektra ponders for a moment."Actually, no. Well I mean I do not find it odd. Those we fought were very well trained in the art hurting the unprepared and quite dexterious. Also their leader was quite crafty. Quite quite crafty. Also gems have many advantages to coin! They are lighter, often more valuable, easier to hide and, well I have this from books, I never tried it before, you can eat them to smuggle them easely. A yes, those cultists were praying to Lamashtu, wich is kind of strange, as I would assume a cult of assassins would pray to Norboger. BUT, we did find a lamashtu shrine under sandpoint, and I have a feeling the rune, Brandark, be a dear and show Flynn your pendant again, thanks, and the cult of Lamashtu are connected. Before you ask, no this is not the symbol of an evil cult, well, in a way it is not completly wrong, but it is a symbol of the old Thassalonion empire."

Brandark Plainswalker |

Aye, I can be showing him, but I would prefer that we do not do that in such a public spot.
He looks around before dragging flynn over towards the wall and then fishes the medallion out from under his armour.

Flynn Elric |

Now that is exactly what i thought, Lamashtu. Flynn smiles, So let's look at the fact's not all evil dieties are the same Lamastu has two particular domains that i am thinking of right now: Thievery and Deceit, Despite being an evil deity Assassination or murder is not generally under her calling. The chest was filled with gems as you said easier to carry, valuable, easier to hide, the chest itself was also well locked. Where i am going with this is i do not believe the cult you found were the murders...it just doesn't add up correctly if you combine that with the fact that the two people capture were put under a truth spell and stated they had nothing to do with them as well. If there was blood and such at the crime scene i doubt it was human, unless you found a body.
Flynn follows Brandark after his little episode of thought.
I myself am not terribly familiar with anything regarding the Thassilonians, but if there is a connection to the two it should be explored.

Brandark Plainswalker |

Chuckling quietly. There was a lot of blood, it just happened to come out of the cultists, so yes it was human. As for what they were doing there, I have no idea.
He tucks the medallion back under his armour, after showing Flynn, and makes his way back out to the group.

GM Mazra |

Bazaar of Sails: A destination for traders the world over, the Bazaar of Sails is the largest free market in Varisia. Anyone with merchandise to sell is welcome to set up a tent, booth, or wagon among the hundreds of other ever-changing shops that fill the dockside plaza. Crops from local farmers, Varisian artifacts, Osirian spices, Chelish finery, Andoran quartos, and more exotic goods from a hundred foreign ports fill the market, with each day’s offerings varying with the season, trade winds, and tides. As merchants eagerly trade, competitions, rivalries, and all manner of criminal temptations arise. Although the market welcomes all comers, the ever-changing crowd, shouts of exotic traders, and generally raucous bustle make the place a nightmare for the local watch to patrol and mete out justice.
On this day there are two weaponsmiths and an armorer that deal in magically enhanced items. There is a wandmaker, an alchemists with a variety of potions, a scrollkeeper and under a large colorful tent a vendor that sells in more exotic wares.
Where would you like to visit?

Brandark Plainswalker |

Brandark will look over the wares at the weaponsmiths and armourer first. He will then content himself to following along with the party.
Currently at work, will total up the sales, and divide it up when i get a chance. Might even be as late as monday on that.

Garrath Tricks the Giants |

Garrath will visit the two weaponsmiths to see who he can get the better price from.

GM Mazra |

A Dwarf named Garoin Forjwell from Janderhoff specializes in hammers and axes. He has swords and a smattering of armor too.
A local Magnimarian weaponsmage, Chorl Milter, maintains a booth in the Bazaar of Sails. He makes a variety of magical weapon.
Please note the conditions for buying and selling in the discussion thread. State what you are seeking. Make the roll to see if available. Then make your Diplomacy check for discounts.

Garrath Tricks the Giants |

Garrath visits the weaponsmage, Chorl, and asks about getting his Greatsword enchanted, especially if the enchantment will work with his rage. If needed, Garrath will offer to help around the shop, or just lugging heavy objects for the weaponsmage.

Brandark Plainswalker |

You know, I think we should hire some people to keep the townhouse in good repair while we are here.
He picks up one of the axes and looks it over.
After buying and selling at Garoin's, he wanders to one of the potion shops.

Stone will head to the weapons Mage and inquire about what enhancements may been done to his scimitar.
