Leira |

Leira looks at the largest shops she has ever seen, stopping in any shop window that displays magical items. "Wow look at this Kaos! They have a full set of magical axes and maces here!" the girl loves and enjoys the dwarven crafting, she looks at her coin bag and founds just a few golden coins.
The evening party becomes cheerful as the girl drinks wine cup after wine cup until she is dancing and singing with dwarves of all beard colors "Uou! This is really cool place you have brought us Umlo! Come here Kaos dance with me!"

Ulfgard Strongfist |

** spoiler omitted **
Ulfgard looks at the recruits for a long time, then nods. "I can and I will.
No one is save from giants, and their raise, together with the orcs is very troublesome. Tomorrow I will ask my friend ands companions Ragnir Brightaxe Warpriest of Torag and Haskyll Stonereaver to speak in my name and recount in Torags name my deeds!"Ulfgard goes to the recruits and spends the rest of the day teaching them what he learned, hammering the values of teamwork and quick thinking in their heads! To the best recruits he gifts his trusted dwarven waraxe, recounting the orcs he killed with it.

is the treasure sheet up to date?
Kaos looks at the shops with Leira like two kids in a candy store. That's nice but look at this I don't know what it is but look. Later on Kaos will dance and have a good time but will aways keep an eye on his friends.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

I am thinking that we could probably use 2 or 3 days minimum
The treasure sheet is up to date, just missing the stuff from the tomb.
If it isn't working for you, let me know, I keep an excel version on my home PC for when the online version crashes.

GM Mazra |

Umlo will lead Kaos to Tara befriend the Dwarves, a heavily tattooed, tall blonde Shoanti woman that runs a shop not far from the outside entrance to the Forum. She crafts items from leather. She did not manufacture this, but she has a Greater Hat of Disguise (12,000gp). She is immediately somewhat taken with Kaos, "I traded for this long ago. It is rare and quite valuable. I could let it go for 9000gp. I also make Muleback cords (1000gp) each. Two for 1800gp."
There are several places that enchant weapons and armor.
Armor or shields +1 1000gp, +2 4000gp, plus book cost for masterworks versions of armor or shields. Nothing extra if you already own the masterworks items. Same with weapons except +1 2000gp, and +2 8000gp.
Go ahead with any purchase request. Moving this post forward to the current page of post.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

Haskyll returns the next day to the Forge of the Maker in Janderhoff, and asks if he can give honour by working on something at the forges.
Afterwords, he asks if there are any items that he might be able to pick up to assist in keeping the party alive and in hale condition.
After this, and multiple times during the week that the party is there, Haskyll meets up with Kaos, and asks if he can accompany while he turns the majority of the party funds into gems.
Thinking small and medium diamonds, for later spells such as full restorations, and raise deads.

Ragnir Brightaxe |

Ragnir will spend his time busting heads with the Warpriests and Paladins, "Aye laddies 'n lassies, ye keep workin' in yer pretty and predictable formations 'n ye'll be doin' foine, but be keepin a few dirty tricks up yer sleeve, f'r when he be needin' i' most." Teaching the newer members some tricks. Many of them from the dirtier side of fighting. teaching the dirty fighter trait
During the off times, he'll assist Haskyll in the forge. He may not know crafting, but he can man the bellows and heft things around. He will also take time to get to know some of the local brewers, trading tips, and brewing up some "Brighthammer Stout" for anyone who'll have it. profession: Brewer

Lord of Janderhoff |

After a restful night filled for some with celebration, the party comes together to plan what will be sold from what has been found, plus a little shopping.
Days Seventy-Two through Seventy-Six
Haskyll spends time at the temple of Torag forges, doing a little FiF, Golarion style.
Of course, there is a brewery at the temple of Torag. It is known for making good, though not considered the finest, Dwarven Ale. Ragnir helps improve their formula, in addition to brewing his exceptional Stout.
In addition, both Ragnir and Ulfgard work with the young recruits. So few veterans are around Janderhoff that there is a sense of foreboding amongst the handful that are present.
The party also rest, shop, craft, eat, drink, and overall be merry.
Event of Day Seventy-Seven
The party is gathered by Janderhoff legionnaires to meet with the Lord of Janderhoff. You will notice that they are all very young. Lord Gorn Diamondtip is an old, but still formidable looking Dwarf. His scale mail is studded with diamonds. The head of the mace at his side is one large cut diamond. Though rough with many inclusions, its value would still be well into six figures.
When the party is gathered, Lord Gorn, request that the party go to his war room. The war room is a vast cavern with a huge stone table surrounded by stone chairs, all carved from the cavern's granite rock. The highly polished chairs though hard, are amazingly confortable. Maps are laid out neatly on the stone table. Only one other Dwarf accompanies Lord Gorn, along with the party, into his war room. The other Dwarf, is female, of middle-age. She is clean shaven, with long red braided hair flowing from under a square helm made of Mithril. Her Mithril plate mail follows every contour of her muscular and stout form. "This is Maiden Mirda of the Clan Stronghelm. She is my vizier. Please. Sit."
After everyone is seated, Lord Gorn continues, "Today is a sad day. I have just received word that a company of Janderhoff legionnaires were destroyed near the Minderhal valley. We are now notifying their families. These were some of Janderhoff's finest." Lord Gorn tries hard to hold back tears. "After this meeting, I too will visit their loved ones. One of those lost was my cousin. Such sadness."
He then straightens up quickly, "News has come to me that you are the Ruby Champions. And you have had great success in infiltrating and defeating our enemies. You were the heroes that saved Trunau. As you may know, the Giants are amassing in the Minderhal Valley. They must be destroyed. As we now know, a direct assault is futile, but a small powerful force may be able to infiltrate the valley and disrupt their plans. Success will be well rewarded. Failure will be honored in the halls of Torag. Either way, it will go well with you. Go. And hurry. Janderhoff itself may be next."
Just let me know when the party is ready to move forward into the adventure.

Ulfgard Strongfist |

Ulfgard takes a step forward. "Can you provide me with alist of our kin slain. I will carve it into the walls of minderhall, as testemony that dwarven grudges are eternal and that we always pay our debts!" The bevor sometimes hot and wild blooded dwarf is now well groomed and his armor spotless.
The days of training with younglings seem to have trained him too.

Kaos stifles a chuckle at the murmured comment. Then quickly get him self under control. Do you have any reports that may give us a better idea of what is there or how we may approach?

Lord of Janderhoff |

The Lord of Janderhoff responds to Kaos, "Unfortunately, no. A human girl came with the news. Apparently, she had lost her family to the giants, but escaped death herself. She came across our lost legionnaires. One of our kin was barely alive. She tried to help, but he was too far injured. He asked the young girl to deliver us the news before he passed away. I belive it was my cousin, Nardal." He lets out a sigh.
"She did not see how many giants attacked. All she knows is that they were giants. She does not even know if they were the same giants that killed her family and destroyed their homestead," Lord Gore's face is streaked with worry and concern.
Gorn then turns to Ulfgard, "A list of our kin will be provided. Go forth an honor our Fallen," The Lord of Janderhoff looks over at Maiden Mirda. She nods, gets up and leaves the room.
Before the party's departure, Maiden Mirda gives Ulfgard a scroll with a list of those that were lost.

Leira |

"Its Majesty. I will gladly join this party on the new commitment" Leira smiles satisfied to have a purpose in life once again "Can you provide us with a map of the valley, or at least a scratch of where the main settlements can be found?"

Lord of Janderhoff |

"Aye lass." The Lord of Janderhoff rises and finds one of the maps at the massive stone table. He reaches in his pouch belt and produces what looks like a stick. It is made of charcoal. He takes it and marks the map. "It is about three days journey from here. There are, or should I say were, a couple of predominantly human villages here and here." He marks the map again. "Here you go, " Lord Gorn gives Leira the map. "May Torag give you victory."

I do hope you don't mind me asking but how did you come by those tattoos? If I'm not mistaken they are Shoanti design. They also seem to give you some level of protection.

Lord of Janderhoff |
1 person marked this as a favorite. |

Later and just before the party leaves to confront the giants, the Lord of Janderhoff approaches. He has with him 9 small clay jars, 3 each, Blue, Silver, and Red. "This is Shoanti war paint. Apply it in the morning when you need it. It will last the whole day. The Blue will give you speed. The Silver, like this silver tattoo," Lord Gorn points to his head. "will give you protection. And the Yellow will make you keenly aware of your surroundings. Use them well."
3 uses of Blue Shoanti War Paint: You gain a 30-foot enhancement bonus to your base move speed.
3 uses of Silver Shoanti War Paint: You gain a +3 deflection bonus to AC.
3 uses of Yellow Shoanti War Paint: Grants a +5 competence bonus on Perception checks.
The war paint does not stack. So, if you already have a high deflection bonus, the war paint will not add to it. Use it well.

Ragnir Brightaxe |

Ragnir starts to spit at the mention of Giants, but remembers where he is just in time to not commit the faux pas. Lifting his head back up swiftly with an intake of breath, and a swallow, he glowers, Durned giants be stirrin' up a lot o' guff lately. Do ye ken any reason f'r it? No tha' i' be changin' me mind about cuttin' the oversized midden waste down t'size mind ye, but might'n bein' it'll let us ken where t' be goin' t' be puttin a stop t' whatever i' is that be pokin' em in the hindquarters n'makin' em cranky."

Anga Runedaughter |

know history: 1d20 + 15 ⇒ (5) + 15 = 20
Anga thinks about if giants have ever gathered this way before

GM Mazra |

@Anga - The short answer is yes. The list and details are too numerous to convey. There of course was the time of Nargrym Steelhand. Then there was the time about three hundred years ago with the Hill Giant Chieftain Uskroth, whose tomb was found under Trunau. But this has been a time of relative peace that has lasted for over one hundred years.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

Well then, in Janderhoff and Torags name, I guess it will fall upon us to do this task.
Haskyll flexes his new hand and hammers it down on the table.
And may the giants tremble at the coming of the Ruby Champions

GM Mazra |

From the Pathfinder Wiki: Teela will know that the Azlanti are now little more than a memory: an ancient, near mythical progenitor of all human civilization native to the lost empire of Azlant. The last true, pure-blooded Azlanti was one of the most famous humans of all time: the god Aroden. He dragged the Starstone from the depths of the Inner Sea at the beginning of the Age of Enthronement, and later became the patron deity of the greatest human empires in the Inner Sea region: Taldor and Cheliax.
The Shoanti too respect Aroden. There is a great tradition amoungst some of the tribes of the Shoanti that they came from the Azlanti. That a great Azlanti warrior named Sho-an fled into the northern wilds of Golarion when the empire of Azlant fell, and became the founder of the Shoanti peoples. If this is true though, the Shoanti blood-line connection to the Azlanti is today so diluted that if the Shoanti people did come from the Azlanti, the amount in their blood would barely be a trace.
On the other hand, Kaos may have as much as one eight Azlanti blood in his veins. If this is true, then one of Kaos' great-grand parents may have been a full-blooded Azlanti. This alone would re-write the history books.
How and why Azlant empire fell is not mentioned in the tomes.
This is about all she knows.

Leira |

"Are you sure Teela? This is very expensive" the girl thanks a lot the now friend druid "You can be sure we will secure Janderhoff against those vile giants"

GM Mazra |

Haskyll Stonereaver |

I thank you for the gift and i be hoping that I also live up to the title that you have bestowed upon me.
Haskyll is slightly embarassed about the gift and title.
Can you confirm if the hand is enhancement?

Haskyll Stonereaver |

fair enough. i could have worked with it either way, i just would have had to enchant it with something else afterwards. Still glad I caught that

Ulfgard Strongfist |

It is a sad goodbye to family and new found friends, but when it is time, Ulfgard packs up and prepares to leave, packing an extra barrel of dwarven stout on top of his backpack. With smiles and waves he returns to the others.

Leira says good bye to all the new friends she has made in Janderhoff "It has been an enjoyable time. You dwarves really built a great city here, it has been the best on many time"
The young girl packs her belongings and readies her bow "Let's hunt down those murderous giants"

After buying his new hat from the vary nice lady. Kaos will go in search of some bits.
The hat is basically a alter self spell that is on all the time. So he is looking for things that may prove useful to be able to turn into.He will somewhat awkwardly ask Droja for a small section of hair. He will then go to Haskyll and ask for the same. He will also look for lizard man or half dragon scales. If the GM wants to throw something interesting or odd in that would be cool. Or not whatever. Then resupply and say good bye. Because It's off to work we go.

GM Mazra |

In Janderhoff there is a Shoanti Man named Mifnar Mixes the Means. He is a potion maker, and has a number of ingredients, some quite exotic.
I will place the odds that he has any specific item at 50%.
Lizard Man scales 2 on a 1d2: 1d2 ⇒ 2 (25gp)
Half Dragon scales 2 on a 1d2: 1d2 ⇒ 2 (100gp)
He will also have some dried Goblin Toes (10gp), Wererat fur (75gp), and a Tengu feather (100gp).
So, Hi Ho! Hi Ho!

Anga Runedaughter |

Anga will write a few scrolls in her time here, but is ready to go.

![]() |

Kaos will take the half dragon scales, goblin toes, We're rat fur ,and Tengu feather. I would ask where you came across some of this but I'm not sure I really want to know. Thank you.

Haskyll Stonereaver |

Haskyll asks if the temple of Torag has a few wands of cure light wounds available.
