Later and just before the party leaves to confront the giants, the Lord of Janderhoff approaches. He has with him 9 small clay jars, 3 each, Blue, Silver, and Red. "This is Shoanti war paint. Apply it in the morning when you need it. It will last the whole day. The Blue will give you speed. The Silver, like this silver tattoo," Lord Gorn points to his head. "will give you protection. And the Yellow will make you keenly aware of your surroundings. Use them well."

3 uses of Blue Shoanti War Paint: You gain a 30-foot enhancement bonus to your base move speed.

3 uses of Silver Shoanti War Paint: You gain a +3 deflection bonus to AC.

3 uses of Yellow Shoanti War Paint: Grants a +5 competence bonus on Perception checks.

The war paint does not stack. So, if you already have a high deflection bonus, the war paint will not add to it. Use it well.

"The Shoanti of Varisia have become our good friends. We share common goals. They have become an important addition to Janderhoff," the Lord of Janderhoff gives Kaos a smile.

"Aye lass." The Lord of Janderhoff rises and finds one of the maps at the massive stone table. He reaches in his pouch belt and produces what looks like a stick. It is made of charcoal. He takes it and marks the map. "It is about three days journey from here. There are, or should I say were, a couple of predominantly human villages here and here." He marks the map again. "Here you go, " Lord Gorn gives Leira the map. "May Torag give you victory."

Knowledge Local or Arcana 20:
The Lord of Janderhoff is covered in tattoos. They are of Shoanti design. They give Lord Gorn magical protections.

The Lord of Janderhoff responds to Kaos, "Unfortunately, no. A human girl came with the news. Apparently, she had lost her family to the giants, but escaped death herself. She came across our lost legionnaires. One of our kin was barely alive. She tried to help, but he was too far injured. He asked the young girl to deliver us the news before he passed away. I belive it was my cousin, Nardal." He lets out a sigh.

"She did not see how many giants attacked. All she knows is that they were giants. She does not even know if they were the same giants that killed her family and destroyed their homestead," Lord Gore's face is streaked with worry and concern.

Gorn then turns to Ulfgard, "A list of our kin will be provided. Go forth an honor our Fallen," The Lord of Janderhoff looks over at Maiden Mirda. She nods, gets up and leaves the room.

Before the party's departure, Maiden Mirda gives Ulfgard a scroll with a list of those that were lost.

After a restful night filled for some with celebration, the party comes together to plan what will be sold from what has been found, plus a little shopping.

Days Seventy-Two through Seventy-Six

Haskyll spends time at the temple of Torag forges, doing a little FiF, Golarion style.

Of course, there is a brewery at the temple of Torag. It is known for making good, though not considered the finest, Dwarven Ale. Ragnir helps improve their formula, in addition to brewing his exceptional Stout.

In addition, both Ragnir and Ulfgard work with the young recruits. So few veterans are around Janderhoff that there is a sense of foreboding amongst the handful that are present.

The party also rest, shop, craft, eat, drink, and overall be merry.

Event of Day Seventy-Seven

The party is gathered by Janderhoff legionnaires to meet with the Lord of Janderhoff. You will notice that they are all very young. Lord Gorn Diamondtip is an old, but still formidable looking Dwarf. His scale mail is studded with diamonds. The head of the mace at his side is one large cut diamond. Though rough with many inclusions, its value would still be well into six figures.

When the party is gathered, Lord Gorn, request that the party go to his war room. The war room is a vast cavern with a huge stone table surrounded by stone chairs, all carved from the cavern's granite rock. The highly polished chairs though hard, are amazingly confortable. Maps are laid out neatly on the stone table. Only one other Dwarf accompanies Lord Gorn, along with the party, into his war room. The other Dwarf, is female, of middle-age. She is clean shaven, with long red braided hair flowing from under a square helm made of Mithril. Her Mithril plate mail follows every contour of her muscular and stout form. "This is Maiden Mirda of the Clan Stronghelm. She is my vizier. Please. Sit."

After everyone is seated, Lord Gorn continues, "Today is a sad day. I have just received word that a company of Janderhoff legionnaires were destroyed near the Minderhal valley. We are now notifying their families. These were some of Janderhoff's finest." Lord Gorn tries hard to hold back tears. "After this meeting, I too will visit their loved ones. One of those lost was my cousin. Such sadness."

He then straightens up quickly, "News has come to me that you are the Ruby Champions. And you have had great success in infiltrating and defeating our enemies. You were the heroes that saved Trunau. As you may know, the Giants are amassing in the Minderhal Valley. They must be destroyed. As we now know, a direct assault is futile, but a small powerful force may be able to infiltrate the valley and disrupt their plans. Success will be well rewarded. Failure will be honored in the halls of Torag. Either way, it will go well with you. Go. And hurry. Janderhoff itself may be next."

Just let me know when the party is ready to move forward into the adventure.
