Though he is more used to wielding his sword than to using the bow, Harrash nevertheless shoots an arrow at the enemy, which misses miserably.

Attack: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5

Just waiting for Trem

Keeping his distance, Trem tries to curse the creature.

Evil eye, -2 AC, Will DC 15

Two arrows manage to enter the holes scattered throughout the shell, drawing a deep wail from the creature inside.

Will: 4 + 7 = 11
As Trem gazes upon the creature, it seems to draw itself out of the shell ever so slightly.

It continues to pull itself, slowly, through the tunnel. Two of the tentacles lash out towards Harrash and Skivven
Attack v Harrash: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10
Attack v Skivven: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Enrathe backs up the same amount of distance the creature moves and looses another blanched arrow at it, cursing his own frugality for not buying 20 extra normal arrows.

Longbow: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 91d8 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Monster Will Save: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
It seems to be unaffected by Trem's focus this time.

Just waiting for Skivven.

I'm going to bot Skivven for the round.
After being struck by the tentacle, Skivven rolls behind his allies.
Acrobatics to avoid AOO: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (15) + 9 = 24
His maneuver takes him underneath the next attack, and the appendage slams against the tunnel wall. As he regains his footing, his fires off a quick shot at the rock-squid-thing.
Skivven Crossbow Attack: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (13) + 7 = 20
Skivven Crossbow Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
While Enrathe's and Harrash's arrows shatter against the rocky shell, Skivven and Arrenopos manage to hit the small areas between the tentacles and the holes they come out of. The appendages flinch for a second as an unearthly wail emanates from the beast. It pulls its shell free from the being stuck inside the small rock tunnel and lashes out at the two people closest to it, which just happens to be Harrash and Arrenopos.

Tentacle vs Arrenopos: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (15) + 6 = 21
Damage vs Arrenopos: 1d6 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Arrenopos is slammed against the back wall by the force of the blow.

Trem, Harrash, and Arrenopos begin to feel the ground beneath them shift as if melting beneath them, but they feel no heat. Instead the sand begins to liquefy into the same black, tar that seems to constantly surround the beast.

Everyone Go!

Arrenopos' blade smacks against the side of the creature's rocky shell. Aside from a small chip in the armor, it is unscathed.

He feels a wetness around his leg and realizes that the trapping liquid has engulfed him.

Enrathe takes another small hop away just to keep distance between him and his target and looses another shot at the whatever-it-is

Trem tries once more to curse the creature offensive abilities, before taking a few more steps back so that the other fighters have more space to maneuver.

Evil eye, -2 Att for 7 rounds, Will DC 15 reduce to 1 round.

Creature debuff -2 AC for 5 more rounds

That was a great round of shooting from everybody.

The barrage of arrows pierces the underside of the shell as the body lifts up to attack again. The tips of metal tear through the monster's tender underside. It collapses back to the ground and the tentacles spasm before coming to a final rest.

Arrow Recovery, 2 is recovered: 1d2 ⇒ 2
Enrathe manages to find one of his arrows that pinged harmlessly off of the creature's shell. That was 10% of his arrows gone already.
"Is everyone alright? he asks, glancing over his comrades.

Android Ftr 2; hp-18; AC-17, F+4, R+4, W+0; Init+4; Perc+3

"It got me once." Arrenopos responds.

The party heads further into the cave where the tar exuded by the now dead beast begins to dry and cake around your legs. It only gets worse as you enter the main cavern where the monster had slept for an indescribable amount of time. Digging through the mess pulls up mostly old bones and more Stone Age style artifacts. However, Enrathe manages to find an extremely well preserved necklace of amber with insects known as Greth trapped inside. He instantly recognizes it as belonging to chief Hetuath

There is nothing else in this area. Do you guys want to help back to the Science Deck?

Inquisitor 2 | HP 18/19 | AC 18 (+1 robots) | F 5 R 1 W 6 (+2 enchant) | Init +4 | Perception +13 | Greatsword +6 (+7 robots) 2d6+4 | Spells 3/3 Judgment 1/1

"Let's move on," Harrash says impatiently. "Obviously these weird creatures don't know anything about the extinguished flame of Torch. We need to figure out what's behind all the technology we found down here."

Enrathe takes a moment, turning over the amulet in his hands. "Hetuath wore this," he says, not seeming to notice Harrash at first. He holds it up against the light of the cave mouth to see the greth trapped within, but does shift his gaze to his impatient companion. "I feel that we have found everything here, yes. The sands will yield no more answers to us."

I put the party back on the science deck map. You should be able to see everywhere you have been. Where do you want to start your exploration?

I kinda want to go after the robot since I am prepped for it.

Android Ftr 2; hp-18; AC-17, F+4, R+4, W+0; Init+4; Perc+3

I agree, let's get it.

The party returns to the doorway where they had locked in the robots. The doorway remains closed.

Why don't you guys figure out your positioning, and then you'll get a surprise round.

I'm still down 8 hp

I have a higher damage weapon for front-line, but nothing else against hardness other than my inquisition.

Male Humanoid (Kasatha) // "Elf" Vigilante 2 -- HP [13/16] 7 nonlethal-- AC [20, 16 T, 14 FF] -- [Fort 1] [Ref 7] [Will 3] -- Init [4] -- Perc [5] -- CMD [19]

I have blanched arrows, so i can hit through hardness but only at a range

All right. Surprise round starts now. I moved you all to the corridor right before the robot's room. The door is closed, and one of you will have to spend your action to open it.

I'll roll for initiative now, but don't feel like you have to stay strictly in order. I'll add in the enemy's initiatives once the surprise round is over.

Initiative
Arrenopos: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (8) + 4 = 12
Enrathe: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Harrash: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Skivven: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
Trem: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (12) + 2 = 14

Trem walks up to the door, grabs the handle and look at the rest of the group. When they are all ready, he will open it.

Investigator (Empiricist) 2 | HP 15/15 | Init +4 | Per +11 (+12 vs traps) | AC 18 : T 15 : FF 14 : CMD: 14 AC 20 : T 17 : FF 14 : CMD: 16 | Fort +1 : Ref +7 : Will +4 | Dagger +6 (1d3+1), X-bow +7 (1d6)

Before Trem opens the door, Skivven pulls three platinum coins from his pouch and pours a little vial over them. They begin to glow faintly. His hand closes around the coins, and he pulls another small vial from his things.

"Ready," he says warily.

Before we go in, casting coin shot. Duration will be 20 minutes or until discharged.

As Trem opens the door, Skivven takes a gulp from the other small vial.

Casting adhesive spittle.

Once the door is open, he looks inside...

If he can see the tough robot (I don't remember which one is which) and the robot is in range he will spit the adhesive spittle at it. Range is 15 feet. It hits automatically. Robot will be entangled, only move at half speed, and DC 15 reflex or stuck to the floor in that spot (as a tanglefoot bag).

If I can't see the robot now I will hold the spittle and use it next round (duration is 2 rounds).

On the roll 20 map, I have the weak one listed as Medicine Drone because you fought one of them once all ready. The tough robot is listed as Badass Robot.

BA Robot Reflex: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Skivven's spit expands in the air as it sails toward the armored, hovering robot. While it's too far from the ground to be anchored, it is ensnared by the magic liquid.

Male Humanoid (Kasatha) // "Elf" Vigilante 2 -- HP [13/16] 7 nonlethal-- AC [20, 16 T, 14 FF] -- [Fort 1] [Ref 7] [Will 3] -- Init [4] -- Perc [5] -- CMD [19]

As soon as the door opens, Enrathe fires an arrow at the armored, flying thing, hoping to hit it as much as possible before it enters melee combat.
Longbow, Blanch: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 241d8 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8

Inquisitor 2 | HP 18/19 | AC 18 (+1 robots) | F 5 R 1 W 6 (+2 enchant) | Init +4 | Perception +13 | Greatsword +6 (+7 robots) 2d6+4 | Spells 3/3 Judgment 1/1

Before we go in, casting bless, +1 attack and fear saves for everyone. 2 minutes duration.

Harrash steps up to the robot to his right and drives his sword into it, but it seems to clang off the robot's armor.

Attack (+1 vs. robots, +1 bless): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

Enrathe's arrow pierces the armor of the robot, and it shifts its body just enough to make Harrash's sword hit a more reinforced section.

I can't see any labels on the robots, and nothing comes up when I click on them. But I can see a little net icon on one so I assume that's the "Badass Robot."

"Dammit!" Skivven squeaks. "It's over in the corner; the other one is in the way!"

Going to be tricky to get ranged attacks at the badass robot in there. If we can take out the weaker one that would be good.

Also, GM: Do the hospital beds go all the way to the floor or couild I get under them?

The issue with the nameplates should be fixed. The hospital beds are on wheels and have a space underneath where you could fit.

Android Ftr 2; hp-18; AC-17, F+4, R+4, W+0; Init+4; Perc+3

I can't see anything except the base map, no characters, monsters, etc. Also, as this is the surprise round, I only get a single action so I can't get an attack, correct?

Correct.

Inquisitor 2 | HP 18/19 | AC 18 (+1 robots) | F 5 R 1 W 6 (+2 enchant) | Init +4 | Perception +13 | Greatsword +6 (+7 robots) 2d6+4 | Spells 3/3 Judgment 1/1

Wouldn't Arrenopos be able to take a 5-foot step and attack? If not, Harrash wouldn't have been able to attack either.
Also, I am pretty sure that I had put myself in the square to the left of where I am now. I moved it back left on the assumption that someone had moved it. It seems like a possible mistake from when I wrote that Harrash attacked the robot to his right, which is to the left on the map. This leaves Arrenopos' options open as to which robot he wants to attack (if he can).

Yeah, that was an error on my part. So, that does leave Arrenopos open for a 5ft step.

Android Ftr 2; hp-18; AC-17, F+4, R+4, W+0; Init+4; Perc+3

Arrenopos steps in and attacks the nearest robot.

With a screech of grinding metal, Arrenopos’ new, black blade cuts through the armor of the hovering robot with nearly no resistance. He catches a faint whiff of smoke from internal wires sizzling at the ends.

Arrenopos concentrates on the robot with the gun as he steps to give others room and try to put the larger robot between him and the smaller robot. I'm trying to get flanking with Harrash, still don't see any markers on map

He just misses this time.

"That's it Arrenopos! Get him!" squeaks Skivven.

That would actually hit it, Arrenopos.
Arrenopos damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
Arrenopos angles his sword and drives it underneath the robot's body. He twists the blade as he pulls it back, ripping out some of the machine's internal workings as he does so.
