"It can cast spells?" Kakra seems a bit amazed by the creature casting Haste. "Be careful, it's going to move fairly quickly now."
However, Kakra was a bit at a loss with how to deal with this creature, and simply moves into the room. There's no letters/numbers on the map, Kakra will move next to the door on the right side.

Rhade's magic harms the construct, as bits of pieces of its chest fall to the ground. Gorguk's blow also breaks off chunks, though you can tell it has DR 5. Jalal casts his magic, Kakra moves, and Jalal's whip wraps around the construct's leg but he does not fall. Is Rhade going to take an action in Round 2?

Feeling the blood trickle from the wound Gorguk stanches the flow momentarily as he draws the scimitar back for another strike.

Rhade steps 5' diagonal to the southwest, 5' south, then 5' to the south east, hoping to provide a flank to the paladin next round, if he wants to take it. He takes a total defense action with his standard action, waiting to help with aiding next round.

With Gorguk being the only friendly target in her range, Kakra lets fire burst from her hands, hoping that the paladin will avoid most of the flames while the guardian will not.
And now the guardian is free to attack me, fun.

Reflex save 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 success reduces it to 3 and resist Fire 1 reduces it to 2 damage. Not bad.
Gorguk feels the heat of the flames wash over him but Sarenrae protected him from most of the pain. As it was he was too intent on the guardian before him to pay much heed to Kakra's Flames other than it scorched his opponent.

The Guardian grips its quarterstaff and again rains heavy blows on the paladin, bashing mercilessly, but surprisingly the paladin stands...barely!
I typed the bonuses wrong last round. These are the right ones. I did not change results last round: 1 hit, 1 miss.
Hasted attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (10) + 11 = 21
Attack: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (19) + 11 = 30...threat
Confirmation: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16...no
Damage: 2d6 + 10 ⇒ (4, 6) + 10 = 20

Seeing the only thing standing between her and the guardian suddenly having most of his life taken away in a single blow, Kakra expends her Shield Other to cast Cure Moderate Wounds.

Jalal swings his sword at the statue creature again, suddenly frantic as he sees it nearly drop Gorguk.

Thankful for the timely intervention by Kakra Gorguk has little breath to spare for thanks as he focuses on the threat in front of him.

Jalal kicks the rubble of the statue. "That thing was like hitting...well, a rock!" He chuckles and looks over to Gorguk. "Are you ok?"
He looks over the remains of the statue, but doesn't expect to find anything.

Rhade looks carefully at the staff under his magical vision, but he can't figure out exactly the properties of that staff. "I can take another peek at it tomorrow after I rest. I might have more luck then. Anyone else have any ideas?"

My talents lie elsewhere but do not fret over it. If no one wants it I will carry it with the rest of the gear as we move along. Looking at Kakra, I do have one more bit of healing afforded to me but would appreciate saving it for later if needs be. Do you have anything to help heal the last of my wounds?

Jalal examines the staff, but doesn't seem to have any better luck than Rhade. "Yes, we should try to press on. The Sisters would have been protected from the Guardian, I think."

Gorguk |

It might be useful for that reason but I prefer to use the scimitar as that is my deity's favored weapon. Additionally I would lose the benefit of my shield. While it does not protect me greatly it is still a boon I would rather not be without. Still, it is a fine weapon and someone should take it. Looking at Rhade, Why not yourself for the time being Rhade. I am sure you could handle it well enough and it only requires 1 hand to hold onto. You could still cast a spell with your free hand then if you needed to.

"I'm happy to hold onto it for the time being, but if any of you want it, please just yell at me and I'll hand it over." He grabs it, and swings it around wildly. "Yep, good for bonking alright."

You go through the west doors to see two columns carved to resemble men with their arms crossed over their chests, holding a khopesh in one hand and an ankh in the other, support the ceiling of this long chamber. Deep alcoves in the walls form burial chambers, some of which are sealed with stone doors. Other sepulchers just have sarcophagi tucked inside, while a few appear empty. To the north and south, wide passages exit the room through the east wall, each leading to stone double doors.
As soon as you walk in 10' and look down the corridor, a rotting zombie steps out from one of the sepulchers about 15' away and begins to advance on you!
