However, Kakra was a bit at a loss with how to deal with this creature, and simply moves into the room. There's no letters/numbers on the map, Kakra will move next to the door on the right side.

Alzaar pulls out his scorpion whip and slashes at the construct, trying to trip it.

Rhade's magic harms the construct, as bits of pieces of its chest fall to the ground. Gorguk's blow also breaks off chunks, though you can tell it has DR 5. Jalal casts his magic, Kakra moves, and Jalal's whip wraps around the construct's leg but he does not fall. Is Rhade going to take an action in Round 2?

With Gorguk being the only friendly target in her range, Kakra lets fire burst from her hands, hoping that the paladin will avoid most of the flames while the guardian will not.

And now the guardian is free to attack me, fun.

The Guardian fails, it has taken 36 damage so far and it is still up!

Reflex save 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22 success reduces it to 3 and resist Fire 1 reduces it to 2 damage. Not bad.

Gorguk feels the heat of the flames wash over him but Sarenrae protected him from most of the pain. As it was he was too intent on the guardian before him to pay much heed to Kakra's Flames other than it scorched his opponent.

Status : 20/25 hp


Alzaar delays...blame him for not posting.

I typed the bonuses wrong last round. These are the right ones. I did not change results last round: 1 hit, 1 miss.

Confirmation: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16...no

Crap, that was a ton of damage at this level. Maybe retreating is a good idea.


More pieces of the statue are broken off by the elf's inspired blow. It looks in bad shape though it still stands.

Hey sorry guys, the game didn't show any updates for me. I started getting suspicious so I checked it just now. My bad!


The guardian resists the bard's first trip attempt but not the second as it goes toppling at the feet of the elf and the paladin. Stubbornly, it tries to stand again, granting both warriors AoOs.

As the guardian tries to stand, Jalal's sword blow breaks apart its head and the construct ceases to exist, the magic suffusing it dispersing in air harmlessly! Combat over.

Breathing heavy with some pain still in the ribs Gorguk nods yes. I could go on but i would not say no to some healing if you got it.


The statue's quarterstaff, now lying on the floor, looks excellently crafted and under the elf's arcane sight, it glows magical.

My talents lie elsewhere but do not fret over it. If no one wants it I will carry it with the rest of the gear as we move along. Looking at Kakra, I do have one more bit of healing afforded to me but would appreciate saving it for later if needs be. Do you have anything to help heal the last of my wounds?

It might be useful for that reason but I prefer to use the scimitar as that is my deity's favored weapon. Additionally I would lose the benefit of my shield. While it does not protect me greatly it is still a boon I would rather not be without. Still, it is a fine weapon and someone should take it. Looking at Rhade, Why not yourself for the time being Rhade. I am sure you could handle it well enough and it only requires 1 hand to hold onto. You could still cast a spell with your free hand then if you needed to.

Alzaar takes point as usual, checking the doors out for any traps, and then onward, eyes alert. He grins at Rhade before heading in.
Just don't take any of our knees out with that thing, Rhade...

Spellcraft to Identify Staff: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (9) + 7 = 16


You go through the west doors to see two columns carved to resemble men with their arms crossed over their chests, holding a khopesh in one hand and an ankh in the other, support the ceiling of this long chamber. Deep alcoves in the walls form burial chambers, some of which are sealed with stone doors. Other sepulchers just have sarcophagi tucked inside, while a few appear empty. To the north and south, wide passages exit the room through the east wall, each leading to stone double doors.

As soon as you walk in 10' and look down the corridor, a rotting zombie steps out from one of the sepulchers about 15' away and begins to advance on you!
