When Gorguk hears the concerns in Jalal's voice he instantly takes a more guarded approach and draws his scimitar. Holding it out in a defensive stance Gorguk once again detects evil and keeps it up as Jalal continues to do his investigation.


Jalal senses the flames are an illusion, as no heat radiates from them. Gorguk senses no evil. The gate to the east is locked.

Sorry I've been so absent guys. I've been on the east coast getting hammered by snow and I also found out recently that I'm expecting a tiny gamer in seven months. To the people who made the DC 15 Perception check, you hear even over the sound of the running water in the pool room, voices coming from the next room to the east, past the gate. You hear 3-4 voices muffled by the sound of metal hitting stone.
"C'mon, put your back into it..we're almost through into the final crypt where the treasure must lie...."

You recognize the voice as that of Hyapatia, the leader of the Scorched Hand.

I think it is obvious. They were asking about something they were looking for. They think it is here and have come to claim it. Not only that but they hired assassins against us and are here illegally. Now if anyone has plans or preparations to make hurry and do so before I rush in and start laying down the law as set forth by those who sanctioned the rediscovery of this place.
