Gorguk lands a blow, hurting the Div, who is starting to get worried that he has not killed any of the party yet. Realizing he is in trouble flanked by 2 warriors, he tries to cast magic. For a moment, a portal appears and opens up next to the Div. However, his worry about being attacked causes his concentration to waver and he fails to intone the magic properly and it quickly closes.

Finally able to shrug off the gaze of the creature Gorguk finds himself once again bereft of any weapon in his hands. Needing to do something to on tribute Gorguk provokes from the creature as he picks up his halberd to swing one again.

After he sees his attack connect Gorguk closes his eyes and relies on Sarenrae's guidance to control him the rest of the way.

The gnome stands back from the battle, knowing he couldn't hurt the div, even if he wanted to. Total defense action.


The Div is severely wounded by the elf's blade and looks to flee when he sees the paladin stirring and reaching for his weapon. He slices at him hoping to kill him before he can reach it....but his claw only grazes armor. He can only look helplessly as the holy warrior picks up his polearm and swings....then the last sight the Aghash ever sees is as his head is separated from his body and his body crumbles to the floor!

Frustrated at the lack of effectiveness that Gorguk expected of himself it was only slightly mollified when Gorguk provided the killing blow. As the head tumbled from the body Gorguk k!+$d it away from himself off the dais in disgust. That was unnecessarily difficult. I apologize to you all for my lack of inner strength in resisting its gaze. At least we have vanquished it but at what cost. Are we able to continue on and finish exploring this place? Should some of us return for supplies while others remain here to guard our site? If people wish to go for supplies all I ask if for someone to be able to obtain a way to remove this debilitating effect that is sapping my strength.

At least that is over now. Could have been so much easier if I had made even half the saves.

That is what I am afraid of if we leave completely. We might be able to have someone run back to town for a quick supply run but not to leave altogether. I would be willing to run back as well if you needed anything or we can push on.

Gorguk gathers his scimitar and shield making sure to strap the weapon cord on this time.

If we stay what area do you suggest we search next once we are finished with this room?

Thank for the reminder of the positive healing. I believe that makes Gorguk full health just strength reduced from the curse. I also have 3 LoH if people need them.

The elf goes to search the bodies of the Aghash and the Doru.


Jalal's keen eyes find a satchel behind the statue where the Div originally appeared from. You find two scrolls, which glow magical and about 500 gp in gems. The two scrolls are Remove Curse. Perhaps you surmise the Div made coins in life by cursing a person and then selling him/her the cure. The Doru was a summoned creature so there is no body.

Feeling the restorative powers of the scroll act upon him Gorguk stretches his muscles and gives a large smile. By Sarenrae that feels so much better. I feel like I could take on this entire place again. You have no idea how it felt to barely be able to lift your armor and weapons. Indeed let me gather my pack and equipment and then I shall be ready to follow you. Where are we going though? Are we continuing on or finding a place to camp as Rhade suggest. I am all for pressing on but can understand caution and temperance if you all think it is necessary. I just don't want those scoundrels to stay ahead of us too much longer and find this eye that they are looking for.


So what is consensus? Resting? Or not?

I suggest that we move back to the entrance then so that we may be able to keep an eye on whomever is trying to come and go from this place. That way if the Sisters are here they will not be able to escape without coming past us first.

GM, with the pool and all, this seems like the center of a temple. If it's not (ie no shrine or altar), then Jalal is willing to move back to the entrance.
