Hope I'm not too late for this. Here is Rata from Grimmy's Barakus game. Out of all the pbp characters I've made so far on the paizo boards, he has been the one I've wanted to run the most.

I really loved the open-ended nature of his background. Let me know if you like what you see (feel free to read previous posts) and I'll set to work building him to your specifications.

I plan on pursuing the atypical route of twf-style.

Edit: Actually, I'd be interested in rebuilding him as a slayer if allowed, since this concept practically screams that class. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.

Anyways, here is the completed crunch for Bosh, the bouncy goblin!!
I didnt know what kind of gold he had, and he is tied up and in a cage so it shouldnt be much anyways so i gave him a very basic set of gear and detailed the cage setup he has himself stuck in as well :)
He has the bouncy trait (my favorite!) and secret knowledge, but i dont know wether to apply it to Engineering or Arcana :S

he should be good to go! Ill build an alias for him next and write a very short story for him :) hes only a second lvl goblin with his only claim to fame is him getting captured by orcs >_>

Bouncy the first 1d6 falling damage is non-lethal. +2 Ref against unexpected falls.
Evasion take no damage on a successful Ref save.
Roll With It when hit by a melee weapon, ignore the damage with a DC 5+ damage dealt Acrobatics check as an immediate action. Success means you move in a straight line equal to the damage dealt (max 30ft). If you hit a a small or larger creature/object stop and take 1d4 points of damage and fall prone. This movement provokes AoO as normal, except against the creature that hit you. Afterwards you are staggered for 1 round.
Scavenger pick up and stow objects as a swift action. +2 to Slight of hand against stunned or disabled opponents.
Secret Knowledge +2 to 1 knowledge skill and it becomes a class skill.
Sneak Attack +1d6 damage when opponet is flanked or flat-footed.
Trapfinding +1 to Disable Device and Perception to find traps. Can disarm magical traps.
Tree Runner +4 racial bonus to Climb and Acrobatics checks.

@Albion: definitely liking the fluffy bits so far; I think it will make a good segway into the campaign, if I play it outright.

@Cam: I'm liking the crunch, so far. Quick question: how do you get to a 20 Dex? Also, when I bring you in, you'll have to do some explaining to just about everyone, if I bring you in the way that I'm thinking. I'll send you a PM when I'm ready to give you some details.

oh yes I remember this one. This is a homebrew right? And everyone is currently level 2?


Not so much a homebrew as it is a number of modules strung together, all from Frog God Games, and will culminate with the Slumbering Tsar mega-module.


good enough, it something new, some 3rd party modules. Anyway, assuming it is level 2, I'll go ahead and rewrite my scholar with 8 cha I once made for this.

Also, the advance race guide allowed, does this mean anything from the featured, uncommon and even the already made races from the race builder section. There is a lot of interesting things I would like to play for the fun of it if they aren't OP. If a powerful race means I get level adjustment, then, well okay, I get level adjustment, but I would need to know that first and what the level adjustment is, like if 20 rp means 1 level adjustment and such and 30 means 2. or if level adjustment is done by 5s.


I'm fine with the ARG. As far as level adjustment, I'll have to think about it, but there is none for anything up to and including 20 pts. What did you have in mind?

Okay, I don't remember if you said level 2 or not, as I don't see it anywhere, but assuming we are at level 2, I made my level 2 character with the standard 1000 starting gold. If that is wrong I can change it. Sorry it took so long, thanks doublegold


Not a problem, Jack. We are currently level 2, a little more than half-way towards L3 at this point, as the group is preparing to attack a keep.

As long as my name is cleared quickly for whatever I'm accused of or if I'm more of a slave than a prisoner, ie. prisoner of a goblin or troll and I get rescued then okay.
