force missle: 11d4 + 1 ⇒ (2, 3, 3, 4, 3, 3, 1, 3, 1, 2, 1) + 1 = 27
brvheart
11 would have been nice
Yes, the future archmage Shandar! 4 is doing great at level one. You should be level two soon.
Hagrym
Another ghoul? Tons of undead in this little tomb! Hopefully Weve about cleared them all out. Don't want any sneaking back to the little village and tearing them up.
"Lucky" Cyrus
Positive Burst: 1d6 ⇒ 1
Surrounded by the wave of undead creatures, Cyrus struggles to reach out and find the well of power that Zors provides. Once more a weak glow pulses out into the creatures, but Cyrus is unsure of the effectiveness.
Not only am I under the weather, but the dice gods hate me when I try to do anything but Heal skill checks it seems.

Jarvis, Shandar, Galerio, Lucky and Naomi all take damage: 1d6 ⇒ 6 and make a DC 11 Fort Save.
Ghoul attacks Ulfgard
bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (8) + 3 = 11
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6 and Fort save DC 13
claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 and Fort save DC 13
claw: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
damage: 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3 and Fort save DC 13
Misses 3 times. Jarvis, Ulfgard and then top of round.

fortitude: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 2 = 41d1 + 0 ⇒ (1) + 0 = 1
brvheart
Shandar you are nauseated and cannot act this round. That applies for anyone that fails their save.
"Lucky" Cyrus
Fort Save: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Bleeding from a host of scratches, Cyrus once more tries to destroy the swarm by calling upon Zors for strength.
Holy Burst: 1d6 ⇒ 3 DC vs 13 for half
Hagrym
Seeing th swarms defeated, Hagrym moves forward to engage the ghoul.
If I can reach it and attack I will. If not, I'll move and ready an action.
Attack 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (7) + 4 = 11
Damage 1d10 + 3 ⇒ (7) + 3 = 10
brvheart
Jarvis, Ulfgard, Turvijagal and Naomi to go. Jarvis still has to make a Fort save.
Naomi Chadwick
fort: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (16) + 1 = 17
sick, no no no I hate being sick, good the bats are gone, better watch our back
Naomi bends over an wretches a little but standing up and looking around steps into the room the vermin came out of leaving here dancing lights in the hallway quickly looking around the room for any other threats.
"uck, good job Lucky, you may earn that nick name after all, Im checking the room for other threats, use that wand if you need to"
checking the crypt for threats or anything else
perception: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
have I mentioned how much I hate not taking 10 or 20 :)
brvheart
Sound of combat is like a -5 perception roll Naomi! You can hear Ulfgard fighting the ghoul.
brvheart
That killed the ghoul. XP 150 each, Shandar that puts you at level two with the rest of the group. Roll a hit die.
"Lucky" Cyrus
Summoning a light at the end of the staff, Cyrus draws the wand to use it on the others.
~I will have to ask Naomi how many charges remain on it. I do not want to rely on it so much that it burns out too quickly.~
CLW wand: 1d8 ⇒ 6 do you want me to roll for each charge, or can we have this stand for end healing on all and subtract accordingly?
brvheart
That xp included the bats, rats and the ghoul. They were 400 each divided by 8.
Hagrym
"Well, I can't find anything else here that needs killing, so time to go get our scepter and Naomi's arm looked at? And one of you grab that emerald...we might find a sage that only trades in gems, who knows?"
Jarvis Ward
Fortitude: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (10) + 3 = 13
"Ah the little bat nasties got me! Have anymore of those healing bursts Lucky it appears a few of us got hit."
Or the wand whatever
"Where are we off to now?"
Naomi Chadwick
Cyrus, Naomi could use healing, burst or wand either way, I’ve got a count on her inventory of uses on the wand
wasted a lot of energy killing those vermin, glad we did it though. It’s still early in the morning, I wonder if we should take the time to track the necromancer, Hate to leave just yet, It would be nice to have the priests medical help over the night and tomorrow morning,
Naomi, disappointed there was nothing in the crypt, returns to the hallway; hearing Hagrym ask about moving on she points out
”Well boys, Hagryms right, seems were done here. Do we want to spend the rest of the day tracking the Necromancer, head to Bard’s Gate or rest here letting me keep this festering wound in the good priests care for one more day before moving on. I know we are leaving the villiage people the oxen team; if the wound is healed in the morning we can leave them the horse also. If we leave now or if I’m still infected in the morning I would like to use the horse so I can move to Bard’s gate faster if needed. What do you guys think?
brvheart
[dice=hitpoints]1d8 +0;
You were right the first time with the die six so 5 hit points.
brvheart
The doorway is bricked over with blocks of limestone, and rock and dirt fill the passage. The solid stone blocks are scarred from repeated strikes by rock and bone.
brvheart
I think they were counting the horse, oxen and the wagon as treasure. That's the thing about FGG treasures. They are really light for a few levels then it really starts to flow! The CNs can roll for rumors in Bard's Gate if they would rather look for treasure.
"Lucky" Cyrus
After using the wand on the others, Cyrus will do the dirty work of extracting the gem from the skull of the undead creature. While he did not want to think of himself as a grave robber, Cyrus imagined the gem was some sort of practical joke by whomever animated this creature. Perhaps it was meant to remain still until unsuspecting hands reached for it only to feel a sharp bite as the ghoul's teeth ripped through..
~Stop those thoughts. The creatures are fallen and you remain. Focus only on that.~
Walking back to the others, Cyrus listened to Naomi's concerns about the arm and agreed with them.
"I know everyone is ready to depart of Bard's Gate, but perhaps Naomi and I can catch up with the rest of you if one last day of rest is unsuitable to your mindset. I agree with her that she needs rest to fight off the bite of that creature."
