Seraphina nods to Cassius. "Yes, I know the spell, I can cast it whenever we need. But didn't Kivan say the mites were underground creatures? I doubt they would line up and march out for sniping, Cas." She nervously twists a length of hair in her fingers, looking increasingly anxious about the prospect of going below the ground.

"I can also cast some light. But how are we going to fight in a tiny mite-sized tunnel?" Maja is not pleased with the situation.
"Maybe there are other entrances that are more our size?" asks Maja, as she checks the ground for tracks leading elsewhere. Cast Guidance, Survival: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (9) + 5 = 14.

Kivan nods at Idris's statement about the spell of reducing, but sheepishly smiles as he answers.
"I unfortunately have the exact opposite of that spell, but the good news is that it would make your weapon hurt more.... Unless you were using ranged weaponry."
I'll have to make it a point to learn what kind of spells these people will work well with. I'll ask them after we deal with these mites, and kobolds.

Pretty draws two daggers and start heading for the hole. She takes a look before entering, and then drops inside, looking at both sides with her darkvision.

Forgot to mention this earlier...oops....when Kivan made the knowledge check on the Mites, he recalled that mites are partially fey, which means that they are somewhat resistant to attacks from weapons not made of cold iron. We can retcon if that would have changed your plans.

Seraphina steels herself for what comes, following along with the group.
I know I'm not posting a lot, but I promise I'm checking in daily or more, just not finding much to say or do.
Pretty silently moves toward the light, following the downward-sloping tunnel. She sticks her head around a corner to find a small room, about 10' wide by 20' long. The room appears to be a sort of workshop, with tables and tools scattered around. Two mites are in the room, and they appear to be taking turns using a crossbow-like device to shoot small caltrops into each other's mouths. It doesn't seem to hurt them, and they giggle and squirm as they swallow each one. They don't notice Pretty.

Is there any way out of this room beside the one I'm at?
Pretty wastes no time and shots one of the mites while it had just used the crossbow device, while the other would probably be distracted.
Shortbow: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (16) + 4 = 20Cold Iron Damage: 1d6 + 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + (3) + 1 = 5
She notches another arrow ready to strike more if there is time!
There is another exit tunnel opposite yours.
Pretty fires from the tunnel, startling the Mites. They squeal and turn on her, one charging in and the other reloading the device. As the one attempts to reload the weapon, it looks down to realize that has been shot in the stomach with an arrow. With a circle, it topples to the floor.
Mites' initiative: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (11) + 1 = 12
If your initiative beats the Mites, take your turn, keeping in mind the close quarters and marching order.

Idris pushes past Pretty and Maja and bursts into the room, sword flashing in the torchlight. She kicks the dazed mite to the ground mid-charge and runs her sword into its neck, cleanly severing its head.

The mites have some mite-sized gear on them, but there is nothing of interest in the room save for workshop equipment and the caltrops. The tunnel on the far side of the room descends and quickly becomes a steep drop. You can't see down it without getting close enough to peer over the edge.
