I kinda heard a "wait for it" in the middle of that...

yeah, just three 18 hour days back to back and a long post to write. You know, when you run your own business you only have to work half days - and you even get to choose which 12 hours that is! My apologies for the delay.
Seraphina Medvyed
Yeah, my economics class did not leave me with a favorable opinion of entrepreneurship. Hope things get better for you Red.
Pretty
Indeed good luck with that!
And now it's been one day since I last posted, and no one replied. I think I did something bad mua ha ha ha! Or I screwed up maybe ^_^
Milo Silverbrush
Should we stay or should we go now? Out of character, I'm okay with coming back later if that's what you guys would rather do so we can keep the story moving along.
Seraphina Medvyed
I haven't had time to respond in character, but Sera's "order" was that we were going to stick together and watch each other's backs in this place, no matter what. We've already seen a confusion effect hit Pretty and those can make you harm yourself. If someone is left alone, they could theoretically kill themselves, like so many have in this place.
So if Pretty won't go forward, none of us should. Sera was hoping for input from Kivan on how we can secure the area. Red, is there any other writing down below to copy for looking up later?

nope. Describe the means by which you're sealing off the area and I'll post a montage of your return to the horses.

I've been at the hospital all day with my honey... He needs surgery to hopefully repair his mitral valve. We have to schedule it soon and they expect to hold him at the hospital for 5 days afterward.
So in other words, I'm going to be very busy and out of sorts for the next week or two. Apologies in advance.
Pretty
Gosh, I hope he recovers Dove. Hang on tight!
Milo Silverbrush
I'm sorry to hear that. I everything goes well for both of you.
Maja Weatherseed
I'm off to Europe starting tomorrow, for about a week. Please bot me as needed!

Pretty, out of character, I want to let you know I wasn't picking on you or pointing fingers in my post. Both Milo and Pretty are thinking about what happened. As far as i understand, only the stuff in bold is said out loud. They aren't talking or arguing or pointing fingers. Just want to make that clear, since neither Milo nor Pretty can read minds ;)
Pretty
Hey man don't worry, I'm not sensitive!
I was actually just copying Sera's internal "I told you so" monologue. ^_^
It's always fun to do that!

Ramage-Ramage-Doo
Where are you?
We've got some work to do now!
Are you ok man?
Idris of the Blade
I was wondering that myself. I also wonder if Sera is going to be back. I have her email, I think I'll send her a note and see how things are going.
Pretty
I'm also still here, really busy these days but I'm hopeful.
Milo Silverbrush
I'm here as well! I'll see if I can get in touch with Red, too.
Milo Silverbrush
I talked to Red and he said he's concerned that Sera isn't coming back. With her being the key to the kingdom (queen dom?) he doesn't want to find a replacement player.
I offered some suggestions, like having her continue as a DMPC for a bit, and other ideas, but I got the feeling Red doesn't have a lot of time available for continuing the game.
Long story short, and I hate for this to come from me and not the GM, but unless we hear from Sera, I think this is the end of the game. Its been a real pleasure being in the game with all of you!
Idris of the Blade
I think so too, and that's very unfortunate. I hate to see this group break up, we've got a lot of really awesome roleplayers in here.
I suspect Sera has found it necessary to devote a lot more of her time to her family, and so this kind of thing has fallen by the wayside - as it should in that situation, of course.
Maybe in the future we can resume this if we all find we have more time available. I've seen more than one PbP campaign resume after long hiatuses.
Sometime after the holidays, I may find time to start a new PbP campaign myself. How would you guys feel about Hell's Rebels?
Idris of the Blade
I hear you! When one has 5 kids, Christmas is less joyous, more stressful.

Not sure myself, I'll be pretty busy until after the holidays. I'll definitely keep checking in and let you know if I hear anything from Red.
Idris of the Blade
OK so all you guys and gals, if you're interested, here is the discussion thread I've set up to talk about playing a game of Hell's Rebels. I really like the people in this game and I'd prefer not to give up on playing with you all. So, if you're interested, come over and chat.
Seraphina Medvyed
I'm sorry to have left you all hanging. There's a big long explanation that I sent in the email reply, but it boils down to simple hardware failure and lack of funds to replace it. No net = radio silence.
I have no idea if the game can be resuscitated since it looks like you guys have moved on, but I'd be willing to try!
Milo Silverbrush
Welcome back! I'm glad to hear everything is good. I'll let Red know, I'm not sure how often he checks the boards.

3 people marked this as a favorite.
Glad to see people back. We'll resume shortly!
Milo Silverbrush
We tied a rope, so Sera can probably make it up with the +5 from that. Otherwise, Milo can aid.
Red, do we see anything new from the top of the wall? Reading through the old posts, the plan is for people to quietly climb down into the camp and for Pretty to do some sneaking, scouting, and stabbing if we still agree that is the way to go.
Idris of the Blade
I am so happy to see this come back to life. Has Pretty checked in since the hiatus? If not, has anyone sent a PM?
