Kelly gave a lazy smile as Carrie hustled over to wash up, but her eyes hardened as she met Mindy's.
"Neither of us wants anything stupid to happen here, right? Just stay nice, enjoy your ether, and lab'll be over before you know it."
Alex steps into Dr. Bridges' office. "Yes sir," she says, coming to stand in front of his desk. "Miss Feldmeyer told me to come see you.
The Dean leans back in his chair and looks her up and down. [b]"Well, Ms. Wykes," he says, "what's this about? What have you done this time? Another petition?"
In response Alex looks down at the desk. "No sir. I had to go and let the class know that a boy who said he'd,.. well, You know, um, slept with me. Tell them that he was lying." she raises her eyes. "So i did. Sorry sir, but I had to do something. I don't like it when people tell stories about me tat aren't true!"

Mindy is also Victorian high on ether, which is why it’s taken her so long to figure it out. Oh my god, you’re into Carrie she hisses. Then, after a beat. Oh my god you’re a werewolf!
She gives a languid smile. Don’t worry, puppy. I don’t want your sloppy seconds.
Kelly responded quickly, but wordlessly.
Really, the teacher should have warned them that ether was so flammable.
Mindy already reeked of the stuff, so all it took was one match and **FWOOOSH**
Mindy's uniform was ruined, and the vampire herself picked up a couple of nasty burns, even a little nastier than Kelly wanted. Or thought she wanted.
Fight
Her wolf surged, no thoughts of Feeding or Fleeing or anything else came with it, only Fight.
This wasn't the place to throw down, but that didn't mean Mindy was getting off the hook.
Kelly was well practiced in sending unmistakable messages while still avoiding a red card, and Mindy needed one of those, bad.
And if when Kelly 'slipped' and bodychecked her, Mindy's ether-soaked sleeve touched something it shouldn't? Well that would just be an awful shame. Thoughts and Prayers and all that.

While I do not disagree that this boys actions were inappropriate, That does not excuse your own behavior. You are going to go back and apologize to Ms. Feldmeyer. And you will be serving a Saturday detention. 8 AM with Mr. Jablonski. He says.

Chem class
A light-ish bump sends Mindy’s sleeve into the bunsen burner, where the ether she has been abusing works against her, setting much of her uniform alight.
Fortunately, ether has a relatively low temperature of ignition, and a similarly low burning temp (though, not as low as Mindy would have liked.) while her uniform sustains significant damage, she only receives a few particularly bad burns (and several superficial ones) before Professor Barnes extinguishes it.
Miss. Granger, dean’s office. We covered in our first class the safety rules in this laboratory, but apparently you believe that the they do not apply to yourself! she says.
And Miss Broklawski, would you kindly take Miss Caldecott to the nurse, she should get those cleaned and treated
What do you do?
Kelly rolled her eyes, but grabbed her bag, and stood up to leave nonetheless.
Once she was out in the hall though, she waited for Mindy and Carrie to emerge. She needed to give Mindy one more stare, then she'd head to the Dean's.
Mindy, wrapped in her coat to preserve her dignity, shuffled out of the classroom. For obvious reasons, she couldn’t go to the nurse. Normally she’d get her escort alone and enjoy a snack to heal her wounds, but Carrie smelled all wrong. She wasn’t a vampire but she definitely lacked the warmth of life.
She locked eyes with Kelly as they exited the classroom. She mouths “Bad doggie” as she walks out, leaning on Carrie a little more than she needs to.
Kelly had expected to see fear in Mindy's eyes, or at least some kind of understanding of her place. Did she have to go further? It wasn't like the b%~** didn't have it coming, but... She didn't really want to kill her. What's in between setting someone on fire and actually killing them?
Either way, the Dean would have to wait. Mindy wasn't nearly cowed enough to be allowed to wander off alone with Carrie. So once they turned the corner, Kelly began to follow.
Hearing the footsteps behind her, Mindy looks over her shoulder, locks eyes with Kelly and says Stay.
And Kelly stays.
No longer pursued, she turned the corner with Carrie and stopped.
I can’t go to the nurse...
"Yes sir, " Alex sighs as she turns to leave. Turning down the corridor to head to chemistry class and sighing thinking about losing her Saturday. It was worth it though! she thinks to herself, I wonder whether it'll work? Just a couple more things to grab and then I can try it out... That prick's going to get it!. Her thoughts are interrupted as she turns a corner and bangs right into Mindy and Carrie.
"Oh, sorry," she begins, before seeing Mindy's state. "Jeez! What happened to you?"

Miss Lawrence does not seem to be involved in many extracurriculars. Wifi usage pretty standard. the next shot you'd have at catching her is in Phys ed, as Yumei. She also has a long list of detention assignments, despite getting better than average grades.
what do you do?
Leaving the media lab and heading toward the gym, Yuji spots a cluster of students outside class. They're about to approach and play hall monitor when they see Kelly. Their head hits the ground before they remember Yuji isn't wearing shoes. Having slipped on the linoleum and squacked rather indelicately, they can only hope Kelly and these others--is that Mindy?--have more important things on their minds.

She was definitely loopy. It wasn't all from the stuff she breathed in. A little brush hip-to-hip-to-hip started some sort of war that ended up with somebody getting set on fire in front of the whole class. Everybody would be talking about this all year. That was a rush and she felt that this was only the little snowball at the top of the mountain. Who would have thunk that she could set this off with a bump?
It was enough that she missed some of what people were saying. Where did Kelly go again? Mindy was saying something about the nurse. It didn't make much sense. "Oh, so you're okay?" She steps back to look at her, keeping her hands on Mindy to balance. A charred part of Mindy's top flakes away, revealing part of her bra. "But your clothes are all nasty f~@@ed up. We gotta get them off." And with that, she starts pulling Mindy to the dorms.
Out of the corner of her eye, she notices Yuji squeaking. But she is soon distracted by the girl she is leaning on/supporting.
Kelly stayed.
What. The. F@@~.
Fear and fury wrestled withing her, and for a moment, the thought crossed her mind that this might have been a bad fight to pick.
But only for a moment.
While she was stuck here though, she wasn't going to make any kind of progress unless **squeak**
She turned her head to see Yuji trying to slip past. "Hey, you. Come here a second."
Yuji rolls onto their feet and approaches, giving the wolf in sheep's clothing a wide berth. Not quite wide enough for Kelly to be spared the smell of Yungfeng burried under Morgan, Uriah, and a heavy splash of Yuji's usual over-processed sugary chemtrail.
"Uh, yeah?" Yuji scratches their shoulder, chasing a phantom pain.
What the hell? I know they showered before heading to bed. Did they just put on their f&&*ing sex-clothes without washing them?
"So what the f#~* is up with Mindy? I know she's... I know something's off with her, but knowing what just became real f~@%ing important."
She sees Alex briefly as she’s pulled toward the dorms. Had an oopsie! No need to be concerned.
She takes Carrie back to her dorm. Her roomie is in class, so they’re alone. She changes out of her clothes casually, as if Carrie wasn’t in the room. She seems to be barely paying attention to Carrie. Mindy really knows how to work complete lack of regard.
Mindy isn’t even attracted to Carrie, but she knows that this will piss Kelly off.
Still loopy from the ether, she leans into Mindy, laughing. She takes her in her arms and starts dancing slowly. "She's just a girl and she's on fire. Hotter than a fantasy, lonely like a highway. She's living in a world, and it's on fire. Feeling the catastrophe, but she knows she can fly away."
Yuji sucks air through their teeth. "I don't know much, but don't leave her alone with anyone important. She was with Morgan in the dark room for five minutes and now Morgan's upset with me." They lean in and look Kelly up and down. "Are you okay? You look... tense." The android performs a surprise emoji. "Did she get you too?" They peer down the hall where Mindy and Carrie disappeared, and see their own roommate Alex walk in at the far end. Why is nobody in class!?

Kelly snorts out a harsh laugh. "If you want me to believe that Mindy's the reason Morgan's not thrilled with you, you should really have worn a clean shirt. But I can't... I can't go after her. Not yet anyways. I've got to stay here first."

Oh. This is the outfit from last night. I ditched it in the girl's locker room. This was an err borne of heuristics and poor time management. I need to recharge.
"Well you look paralyzed with fear, so I'm guessing you're just lashing out." Yuji pulls down the front of their vest. "She's outsmarted you. I can see that much. Not that there's anything superhuman about that. Do I need to go whimpering at her heel, or do you want some backup when you're done peeing your pants?"
Yuji turns their back on Kelly to flag down Yumei's roommate. "Alex? Come here!"
Kelly's eyes narrowed. "Careful Yu...ji. There's plenty of other weird s#+* going on, but that doesn't mean I don't know how to handle it."
Her brows knit as Yuji turns their back on her, but it's not time to move yet, so Kelly doesn't do anything about it.
Alex bemusedly watched Mindy and Carrie walk off towards the dorms before she hears Youmei, no, Yuji, wave her down and turns to see Yuji and Kelly standing at the end of the corridor. "Isn't anyone in class?" she says as she walks up to them, "Anyway, I just saw Mindy and that Carrie girl, do you know her?, heading off towards the dorms. It was weird. Mindy looked like someone'd tried to set her on fire! She didn't even seem worried about it!"
"Hmmp. She should be worried about it."
Mindy stiffens a little when Carrie touches her, but not enough to pull away. She lets her ice queen veneer slip for a second as she giggles, but covers it up quickly.
You’re being goofy!
"I know, right? Kelly here thinks there might be something up with Mindy. It's got her spooked. Like, literally? I think? You know me, Alex, I just write it how I see it, and there is something going on in this school." Yuji looks from Alex to Kelly and back.
"Yeah, they seemed like they were high or something. Mindy laughed. It was weird! Something going on? Like what? I mean, Mindy's a bit strange but, you know, she's essentially a goth, and they're always a bit mopey. I mean, lighten up! You should have been there last night! We were, um,.. doing some stuff and,.. " she lowers her voice to a whisper. "You won't tell anyone? Good. We caught Linda Mann and Blake Terry in the pool - skinny dipping! You should've seen Mindy - she just went straight in and, like, totally shut them down! She was a total b&~!@ about it too! It was totally awkward."
Kelly didn't want to get into it, but right now she couldn't figure out what else she could do from here. "She's not just mopey. She's dangerous."
Dangerous? How?
"Damn right I'm goofy. And it feels so good." She puts her arms around Mindy's neck and falls back onto the bed. "Don't you want to feel goofy too?"
Perfect, exactly where I want her...and now to snap the jaws.
Mindy’s demeanor completely shifts and she closes off. She pushes away from Carrie, so she’s standing, but Carrie is on the bed. She’s apologetic but firm.
Oh...oh dear. I hope I didn’t give you the wrong impression, I’m not attracted to women. Not that there’s anything wrong with that, but I don’t swing that way. I didn’t mean to lead you on.
She turns away in embarrassment, a small smile creeping around her fangs once her back is turned.
Plus...oh I don’t know if I should say but...Kelly really likes you...
She turns back to Carrie, the selfless, caring angelic buddy. She’s such a dear friend, she’d be heartbroken. I could never do that to her.
You should leave. No hard feelings but let’s not discuss this again.
