Aralu nods and aims at the goblin.

@Gorok: he doesn't. This is one tough and proud goblin warrior.

Aralu moves closer, ready to shoot, should the goblin try to flee or the line of fire be clear.

Meurasod follows Mary and Aralu close on their heels.

He plans to trail behind after them until they stop, then continue to move until he's standing in front of them, interposing himself between them and whatever they may be targeting.

Its totally a living goblin. Maybe not for much longer, of course.

Aralu takes aim, and her bolt kills the goblin, who slumps on the floor.

If possible, Meurasod will try to retrieve his chakram from the dead goblin's head and search its body for any possessions. Any type of money pouch, he would toss to Aralu. Otherwise he would be looking for a key or charm. Beyond that, he would take the dead goblin's horse chopper.

"Waste not, want not" is all he mutters to himself.

As he wipes his blade clean Zurka shakes his head slightly in disgust at Aralu once she killed the goblin. Now who knows what secrets it will take to the grave.

As Meurasod moves to search the goblin, Zurka moves cautiously towards the Spire entrance and peers inside allowing his enhanced darkvision to take hold.

Perception: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (2) - 1 = 1

Katara would move up and retrieve her javelins putting them back on her back as she looked over at Zurka peaking in. Her own ears listening for any sounds of anything inside as she gets her torch out to light it.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16

Meurasold finds no valuable on the goblin rider (well, nothing someone who is not a goblin would find valuable anyway). The horsechopper is a crude but effective weapon, with ragged edges. It feels tiny in the dwarf hands. 1d8 dmg, Crit *3, Martial weapon. Crafted for Small characters.

Zurka sees and hears nothing of interest beyond the Spire entrance.

Katara has another problem: it's too dark inside. She can't see anything beyond a short range.

Anything beyond the 5-foot area is darkness. Ranged combat and melee attacks with reach have a 50% miss chance unless the attacker has darkvision or a source of light. Illumination radius is halved (10 feet for a torch/Light spell, 15 Feet for a sunrod.) and reduce the condition to Dim light (20% chance to miss ranged or hand to hand combat) in this radius. Creatures without darkvision take a –4 penalty on Perception checks that rely on sight in full darkness. The terrain inside this level of the Spire is difficult (your Move is halved, and no charge possible)

Katara waves the torch she already lit and follows Gorok slowly looking around for traps that they could possibly trigger.

Perception: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (14) + 4 = 18

The footpath climbs up to a jagged hole in the side of the green glass tower. The light outside the tower does not penetrate into the building more than a few feet. Beyond that, it’s pitch black.

Katara's torch and Aralu Light spell brings manage to dissipate the darkness a little. You carefully enter the Spire, watching where you put your feet. Half-melted blocks of green glass lie thick on the floor. Katara iw watchful for traps, but find none so far.

A crumbling archway to the north leads into another chamber, while
a door to the west leads into the round tower at the southwest corner of the building.
To the east, a barricade of rubble and wooden stakes blocks a passage leading into the tower.

You hear, beyond the west door, a canine growl...and a goblin voice enquiring, in goblin first then in crude, broken common

Looking at the map, is "East" essentially down, or is it really east?

"To the east, a barricade of rubble and wooden stakes blocks a passage leading into the tower." Is the arrow that I drew on the map east?

Why am i not at all surprised by that? :)

North is on the right side of the map, I checked. East is down, like your arrow points. So the canine growl comes from the west, not the north, my mistake. I edited my last post.

a loud "Waaaaazzzuuuuup" answers to Katara, and the west door opens. Another goblin, mounted on his dog!
