Level 2 is near.
When you will level, for your HP you can roll, and if you roll less than average HP you got average HP instead.
At level 3 and more, either you take your chance on the dice (counting 1 as 2) OR you choose average HP without rolling.

Of course, if I see the next encounters are too easy for you, I'll boost the monsters to keep up the challenge.

Okidoki. So level 2 is the highest of average and rolling.
Level 3 is average OR the dice (except you cannot roll one).

Might I suggest "rerolling" if you roll a one. Because for a d6 you would be able to get 2-2-3-4-5-6 and for a d12 you would get 2-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-10-11-12. Might be less "equal" for all the classes?

Get to level 3 first. ;-)

congrats to everyone.

The fight against the shadow was a tough one, and it seems a good time to level up.
Please post in this thread your planned upgrades (HP,skills, chosen spells for spontaneous/divine spellcasters, additional warrior Feat).
Remember for level 2 HP: you roll the dice, and if you get less than average HP you got average HP instead.
You will be able to access to your new abilities after next rest, whenever you want.

Of course, I'll toughen up the monsters later, so the game will keep being challenging.

Not only do you add CON bonus (and Favored Class bonus maybe), but as you rolled a 1, you got average HP (so 6+CON+FC)

DM/Selene - Do either of you have a problem with Tane picking up the language of Selene's nonsensical Celestial? Perhaps Tane studies it enough and Selene works with him to understand it? Not sure how to play that out in game. With his interest in her, it seems feasible to me he'd try to figure it out.

There was a moment, or scene, on the way to this dungeon where Selene did do a bit of coaching/teaching of celestial. If you're asking my permission, Tane's known Selene a long time, so his desire to learn it would probably have been sufficient to pick it up; as in 'Eureka!'

I was also going to pick it up.

FYI: I'll be out of the game for three days starting this Sunday.

(and I have no problem with Tane and Malya getting more familiar with Selene's foreign tongue... ooops, does that sound bad?^^)

I'm back (obviously), and I added on the Loot sheet the magical dagger and the scorched key found in the shadow's room (I put it in the "jewellery" section)
