Kori walks out of the back inspecting the newfound blade. "Hey, look at this. You think it's as good as the last one I found? I'm gonna give it a shot, I like the heft of this one better. The last one just seems too light and thin for me. Oh, and I found this too. Short-legs, you're good with the value of things, you probably know what we can get for it." As she hands the filthy ring to Angmar, she moves towards the door with the others, ready to move to the next building like they planned.

I was certain Angmar took the mace since no one else was going to use it.

Yeah Angmar has the mace. But if Hatim wants to use it he can have it currently it's Angmar's back up weapon and once we get into real fights angmar will likely be switching to sword and board. Someone should take that longsword BtW. Angmar can't cause he's not proficient.

Angmar casts a minor cantrip and examines the ring. Noticing that it's magical and adding one and one together he surmizes. Looks like a ring of jumping to me. Want to give it a try? Just don't bump yer head will ye?

So where to?

Dmitri asked Apollo to lead the way, so he did just that and is already on his way over to the other building (B7 I think...I named it in my previous post), and yea Kori should take the sword if she'd prefer it. :)

I think I'm going to enjoy this part.

The party leaves the abomination-infested building, leaving the corpses of three enemies behind them, and travel onward to the next-nearest building, but still skirting the edges of the town. The next building appears to once have been a tannery, and in fact is still more or less intact and issues the foul smell most commonly associated with chemicals. The doors are locked, but light shines from the inside and the chimney leaks smoke.

Hatim recognizes the smell as that of alchemy, but not exactly...good alchemy. (That's not to say that it's Evil alchemy, but rather low-quality alchemy.)

Angmar wordlessly indicates to his companions that they should circle the building to see whether there is another exit. He get's his large steel shield which he recovered from the monastery up and draws forth the magical mace getting ready for combat.

Kori has no problem walking around looking for another door. This one may not be as weak as the ones in the monastery, and bashing or hacking down doors when they are supposed to be sneaking isn't good. They need a key or someone that can use those tiny tools to unlock doors.

Pretty sure Hatim has Disable Device, and a pretty good one at that.

The doors are locked, that's why we didn't just walk in before.

Kori doesn't get what fool idea knocking would be. Why would someone decide to knock on the door and announce your presence when trying to sneak from building to building? "Do you know the person that lives here?" She asks Lizard-friend suspiciously, as she ducks around the corner to prepare for what may come to through those doors after whoever is knocking. This is not the way to sneak about town.

Yup, that was stated, but it's not anymore. :)

Apollo says nothing, hoping the voice from inside didn't hear his allies, as he marches fourth into the building. as stated in my above post. :)

We're on the border of the town and not everyone's bad. Chances are she is because who the hell lets in a stranger? Well...if Conan's anything to go by, a Witch does...who then enjoys having sex before turning into a murderous creature...but he's playing along and acting naive in front of this thing, to not draw any more attention to us all.

Apollo walks through the unlocked door into what appears to be a tannery. Animal hides hang from racks, vats of chemicals lie herhe and there, and the entire room is pervaded with a foul smell. Sitting above you, taloned feet hanging from a rafter, is a harpy. The harpy woman is surprisingly clean for a member of her species, and she ruffles her wings once before leaping down from the rafter to the ground. "Please, do not think to fight me, I mean you no harm...I wish to deal with... looking through the members of the party, she strides outside to Dmitri. ...you" shew bats crusty eyelids and flaps her wings lightly.

Apollo laughs as he speaks to the harpy. By all means have him. Dmitri here loves a good bit of womanly company!

Male Human HP 45 / 71 | AC 23 / Touch 13 / Flat-footed 21 - CMD 17 | Fort +16 - Reflex +5 - Will +9 | Init +1, Perception +1

Dmitri had certainly known of harpies. They were one of the gray areas of his faith as far as "Abomination vs Woman" was concerned. This one, in particular, was odd, however. Most Harpies carry their vilely foul stench with them, and were often hideously dirty. This one apparently appalled that filth, however.

At the church, Dmitri had seen many a thing. Lamias, Incubi, and plenty of other half-women things. Avalni would deal with them quite often, in more ways than one. Harpies were often shunned, but only for their stench. The ones that came to the church, however, were often drowned in perfume to cover this.

The mere fact that this woman was amongst gnolls was confusing, however, but Dmitri's habits got the better of him, for the most part.

Strolling up to the door, Dmitri sized up the harpy, curious, more than anything. "Before you would ask anything of me, my lady, might I be allowed to ask what you're doing amongst these gnolls?" he asked as he walked in.

As he walked in, he took a moment to bow, as was customary, and apologized. With as much of his charisma as he could gather, he draped his tongue in as much silver as possible. "Pardon me, where are my manners. My name is Dmitri Avalni Mavis. Yours?" The worlds rolled off like a well-satisfied significant other.

The creature laughs, and beckons the rest of the party in with you as she follows you into her home. "I've lived here for longer than they have. In a way, they're intruding on my home."

She stands, arms crossed and leaning against a pillar while Dmitri introduces himself, and then steps forward - uncomfortably close - and says "My name? My name is Undrella, if it please you. I was wondering if I could ask a favor of you and yours. It could be...worth your while." With a taloned finger, she strokes Dmitri's cheek.

Male Human HP 45 / 71 | AC 23 / Touch 13 / Flat-footed 21 - CMD 17 | Fort +16 - Reflex +5 - Will +9 | Init +1, Perception +1

A grin appears over his face as dark thoughts fill his mind. "Oh, and how it does...

Dmitri places his scythe on his back and looks to the others, rather concerned with their current arrangements. As the talon caresses his face he grabs the hand and pulls it away for a moment, breathing rather deep through his teeth.

Breathing out, he composes himself. "As much as I agree with your lack of subtlety, Dearest Undrela, dare I ask what favor you've in mind? Also, why have the Gnolls not forced you to leave, or worse?

Clenching the harpy's hand, her intentions seemed a little too clear, but that was how her race worked. Dmitri wasn't about to complain.

Hmmph, not only a woman, but a monster woman. Kori knows her own, and when a woman wants something, she'll do whatever she can to get it. Add a monster into that and it could be ugly, well uglier than the thing is physically. She's somewhat concerned that Pain-lover's stupid obsession with women will get him into trouble if he keeps up like this. She decides that she'd rather continue around the building, look for another way in like she was about to do. Maybe she can learn something about this monster woman, before he does something real stupid like tell her their mission. Men, such simple single-minded creatures they are.

Having trouble keeping it down, Dmitri?

"Why, of course." the harpy woman says, clearly a bit disappointed as she steps backward. "I need the head of a serpent to finish one of my brews...and I know there's a particularly massive serpent around here. So... I want you to bring me the head of a massive serpent." She says this last bit with a wink.

"As for why I haven't left yet...well, that also goes into what I can do for you. This is my home. If the gnolls tried to force me out...I would be difficult. Not only that but I have a sort of arrangement with the leader. Not a gnoll, of course. A big man came in and killed the last one and took over. He lets me stay here and provides me with access to the battle market, and I give him...well, I'm sure you can imagine. Recently, he walked through the door in the town's monastery, and came out crueler than before. He is cruel to me, and I want you to kill him, and am willing to betray my lover for you if you bring me the serpent's head."

For some reason, you get the impression that this is the longest the harpy has spoken for a long time, but not because she doesn't want to. Gnolls are not great conversationalists. She certainly isn't being insincere.

Hatim knows that the brews here aren't "true alchemy" like what he does. She appears to be a particularly unskilled alchemist.

Kori manages to slip away unnoticed, but circling around the building, finds no other entrances. There are a few windows, though, if she wishes to observe from behind.

Disappointed she returns to the front of the building, but still does not trust the birdwoman-thing. She stays by the front door, watching for any signs of approaching enemies. She can't help but think this thing being so kind is a trap. Maybe she's distracting them until help arrives. It's just too weird to find a friendly monster in this gnoll town. "If she-it's no threat that needs killing, we should move on. We need to find a place to use as a place to hole up when we need it."

Male Human Internal Alchemist/3

Listening to the woman speak of the snake’s head, made Hatim think. "Due to her lack of Alchemy skill, perhaps she would like to acquire some of its’ poison. It wasn’t that hard to gather." He gained a puzzled look, "But, what for?"

Diplomacy 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (17) + 1 = 18

He then attempts to be nice as Dmitri did, ”What do you intend to do with the head?” but Hatim has a hard time keeping his words non-condescending.

Oh boy missed lots during my weekend absence...

Angmar joins the others in the tannery. He has nothing against slaying large serpents but he is also excited by the prospect of dealing wiht an inteligent creature here that might know something about his missing friend.

Seeing that you have lived here so long. You wouldn't by any chance know of a girl by the name of Haleen?

When the harpy asks for the head of a massive serpent, Dmitri's eyes practically glow with delight, but as her story continues he simmers back down into a cool anger.

"Any man that is cruel to a woman, I am righteously allowed to execute on the spot, Dearest Undrela, and this one is no different..." With that, he raises the claw he had in his hand and kisses the top of it, looking at her wryly. "As for the head of a massive snake, you'll be pleased to know we've already slain such a beast on our way here.

Turning to the door, foreclaw still in hand, Dmitri wonders if he should go get it, but only for a split second. The task would be easy, and they've already taken out the Gnolls in the prior buildings.

Would any of you object to me retrieving the snake's head? Surely, it is a meager price for information...No?

The harpy straight-up ignores Kori, and continues speaking with her compatriots. She laughs, a sound that's akin to a chirp when Dmitri kisses her hand. "I'm glad to know that you're so ready to give me some head. As for what I intend with it... she says, turning to Hatim. I need it as an ingredient for one of my brews. I thought I'd already told you that, or are your ears as deficient as the rest of you?"

"Haleen? Hmm...I'm sure I recognize that name from somewhere...but my mind just keeps going to a serpent's head..."

Guess we better check out the Monastery then... mutters Apollo, before questioning the Harpy.

The Battle Market....it's a place where you can buy weapons/adventuring gear and or fight in some way right? Maybe a gladiatorial arena? A fighting pen? Slowly letting the Harpy's claw slide out of his hand, Dmitri laughs at her warm demeanor, slowly but surely letting "Hunger" fill his eyes. His subserviance to the female populace was something to truly behold, but this was a simple request, no?

Breathing out, he says. "Friends, friends, it is rude to ask a favor of such a remarkable lady without presenting something for proper trade. She merely requests an already-dead snake's still-bleeding head, and if I do so recall, there is one not far away?" He pauses, a smile on his face, looking to Apollo with a grin to end the ages.

"I killed that one, didn't I? Oh yes... The spray was something to behold." He makes some creepy "rain" motions with his fingers before snapping his head back to the Harpy. "Had you found us earlier, we would have brought it straight here..." he looked to his left, knowing better. "Or atleast, *I* would have..."

Backing away, step by elongated step, Dmitri takes a bow, 1 eye closed and 1 eye open, trained rather strongly on the allure of the harpy. "I shall retrieve it by my lonesome as you talk. Please, play nice while I'm gone. I shall return shortly."

With that he stands back up, placing a hand on the door as he retrieves his scythe. Turning around again to look at Undrella, his visage had turned slightly to wicked glee. "As soon as I bring this back, we shall discuss the way in which you would like this "Lover" presented to you... Dearest Undrella." And then he simply walked.

As he walked, he preferred to stay aware of his surroundings and pass particularly through the areas that they'd already been, making sure to check to see if any potential patrols had discovered the bodies of any prior kills.

Hatim gave a strange disgusted look in Dmitri's direction, then says in a low voice,"A mass amount of acid is going to be needed to wash away that filth."

He then turned back to Undrella, and says, "If you do not mind me asking, what is this brew you speak of? I'm interested, and have some skill in this matter."

Kori corrects the lovestruck fool as he leaves, "No, Pain-lover, the spray of blood was when you finished the ugly deer-bird I wrestled. Imp-stick killed the snake, you just made sure it was dead after it fell." Why do men feel they need to strut like peacocks when it comes to killing? Are they not satisfied with themselves that they must always try to dress up what they as more than what it was.

She only nods and sneers at Hatim's disgust over Dmitri's intentions, but she wasn't going to say anything. Last thing she needed is for these idiots to think she gave a damn about what Dmitri slept with. As long as it wasn't her, that was his business.

Turning back to the ugly bird-woman. "Hey, you. If we give you the snake head, can you make us some of its poison? New-guy gave me one bottle, but I want more. It burned in me real good, and I want to use that pain on my enemies. Whoever they turn out to be." She gives a knowing look in the thing's direction.

Smirking, Apollo nods at Dmitri's excited statement.

Yea, it seemed that way, but to be honest, I was too far back to really know who got the final hit. I hope you got your fill though. I know you love a good bit of blood.

Apollo shakes his head and laughs out loud a little.

Ya know, if you ripped off a Gnoll's arm and started drinking the blood from its probably still pumping vains, I'd be disgusted by the consumption, but it'd probably strike fear into their hearts. If they have such things...

Anyway, you need a hand bringing that head back? It's a little crowded in here. I wanna get some air.

Consuming a Gnoll or drinking its blood? Pretty mental. More so damn vile, but whatever. I hate them enough to commit genocide. Not nice I know, but their deaths mean my family can rest in peace. I loved those guys, yet here I am alone, unaccepted by most and without Nom, I feel a little lost.

Apollo heads out of the building while the party converse with the harpy, taking a deep breath as he looks towards the ground, kicks some sand and awaits Dmitri's response.

Nom, where are ya buddy? I hope you're okay and everyone's taking care of ya. I miss ya buddy. See you soon eh?

I already said she was being truthful, although I admit it was a bit subtle. She isn't lying.

Dmitri and Apollo's trek through the desert takes about a half an hour (cutting into evening, at this point) and meets no unexpected intruders. They reach the barn with the dead snake in it shortly.

The harpy laughs at Hatim and Kori's questions. "Honestly, I'm just experimenting. This is a tannery, you see, and I'm seeing whether different animal skins work well at being made into leather. And it's unlikely that the poison hasn't dried out of the snake's glands by now."

As Dmitri enters the room with Apollo, he's still riding the high from earlier. There was, however, one thing he found slightly offensive, prior, though.

Walking up the heaping pile of snake, he remembered that it was the Perytonthat he'd slain in a frenzy. A shame, he'd have to apologize to Koritylija. He could have sworn she'd said something as they'd left, but he was still enjoying his time doing a half's bidding.

"Apollo, there are 3 things I need to make clear." he said as he knelt down beside the snake. "In my religion, there are a few things that are often misconstrued."

Placing his scythe on his back, he grabbed a sickle from his side, viciously stabbing it into the side of the snake's neck. "Women are ranked by beauty, and the men must pay heed to those of supple build." he said, as he began to saw the head away, taking some amount of pleasure in it, as he smiled when he worked. "This includes those of various species. No abominations, I assure you. The excruciatingly hideous are killed."

"Second, I found the statement of... gourging myself on life's nectar rather... appalling. True, it is a religion of a demon lord, but she at least holds order above all things, save for beauty, of course." At this point, the snake's head is nearly cut off, save for maybe a 4th of the neck, and blood has most certainly gotten on Dmitri's hands as he holds parts of it back to make sawing easier.

"Finally..." he says, putting his sickle back before the job is done. Placing his hands on both the underbelly and top sections of the head, burying his fingers among the meat and tendons, he rips the snake's remaining skin forcefully, splattering blood in an arc along the floor.

He holds the snake by the back of it's loose skin up to his face, staring into it's long-dead eyes. "Enemies that go against the laws of my faith, I will feel no remorse in killing them..." With some of the blood on his face he looks to Apollo as he hoists the 3 feet of snake head onto his shoulder. "... With glee."

With that he beckons Apollo to follow him out of the door as he hurries back to the building. "I tell you this only because I feel, at this rate, I will be in your company for quite some time. You're the first man that I've not ignored with impunity." he says with a bit of a chuckle.

Tapping the front of his boots on the ground repeatedly, Apollo stands slightly behind the pain loving man, as he listens to what Dmitri has to say, while also keeping a watchful eye of that around him.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (3) + 6 = 9 +2 vs Gnoll's

The hideous are killed? What about women baring scars from fire, abusive relationships and other such things? Do diseased women deserve to die, even if it was another who gave them the disease?

Curious about the white haired mans beliefs, Apollo continues to question him.

If you met a nice woman who respected those around her, but looked like cottage cheese, would you kill her, or would her beautiful personality be enough to grant her the right to live in your eyes?

As Dmitri continues carving the snakes head away from its body, Apollo goes silent for a while.

Killing people just because they lack beauty? What. The. Hell. Who hired this guy? That's no ground to kill someone. If they attack with intent to kill, sure, but killing based on looks and something that comes down entirely to personal preference? Terrible.

Gourging yourself on life's nectar? When was that said? I don't recall hearing that, and truth be told, I don't know much about the Gods. It's funny, I lived in Katapesh for a very long time, working ont he stalls and all, but never really stopped to ask about Religion. It wasn't something that really interested me. I've heard of Abadar, Cayden Cailean was it? Desna and Shelyn, but little else, and I couldn't tell you what they do. I just know the names. said the man, with a slightly more serious tone to his voice.

Ya know, if enemies attack, it's fine to defend yourself and fine to kill if our opponents are out to kill, but killing is something that leaves its mark. Back in the temple, those pugly's or whatever....they could act and think, maybe not to our level, but I didn't exactly enjoy killing them. They didn't pose a threat and as such, their deaths were meaningless, but they attacked first and just asked to be killed.

Being honest here, from what you've said, I don't agree one bit with you about killing people based on looks alone. It's so very very wrong. You lack remorse and seem to enjoy death....but then again, I can sympathise to a degree, because if I make it to the Carrion king by some chance, one of us will die and I won't feel remorse for sending him to the pits of oblivion.

Apollo pauses for a moment and runs his hand through his hair.

...One of us will die. Whether it's he or I, I have no idea, but it's my ultimate test. Kill the Carrion King and avenge those I lost to his stinking tribe of dogs...or die trying, in which case I'd be happy, knowing I was fighting for what I believed in.

Impu-what? Not a word in my vocabulary, clearly!

Placing his hand on Dmitri's shoulder with a slight thump, the black haired man lets out a small laugh.

You know, when I first saw you, I thought you were pretty weird. I still do in fact, and figured you'd be the least likely member I'd feel a slight bond with, but as it stands, I seem to get on with you the most. Keth was a good laugh, but he's long gone, as is Sabeen, though it's no surprise as she was a little bit of an airhead. Mind wandering, eyes wandering. Dunno. She just seemed to be in her own world most of the time.

Anyway, I appreciate your comments. If you need a hand carrying that butchered head, let me know. It looks pretty weighty.

"Even the most... unblessed... of women we don't kill. I was referring to the most hideous of abominations... such as those of Lamashtu's religion, who intentionally birth them. Indeed, she is a most-hated rival of Lilith for more than one reason..."

Knowledge Religion: Abomination related Deities: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (17) + 9 = 26

Dmitri shakes his head as he carries the snake through the city. "Life's nectar is blood. It's a blessing, and it isn't to be wasted. To... eat it would be sacrilege. Spilling it upon the ground is akin to presenting it to Lilith, which is far better. Enjoying it is merely a bonus."

He laughs a bit, at all the misconceptions. "At the end of the day, Apollo, I am merely a man that enjoys simply attained things. The soft flesh of a Woman, and the crimson succor of my enemies to take glee in letting."

"Succubi, Incubi, and the pleasant looking amalgamations of woman and creature are not abominations. I've never seen or heard of any of the creatures that are so hideous, but I imagine Lamashtu enjoys creating them. Those that are... pleasant, to look at, but dangerous to fool with. Those are the creatures that aren't abominations."

As he walked, he shifted the weight of the snake, which was no doubt pouring it's blood down his back. "Some day, Apollo, we will both get what we want. I'll likely tell you the story of my upbringing some time, but, now is not that time."

"As for enjoying my killing, no. I simply enjoy the fight. Whether or not someone dies, that is their own fault. The only enemies I will openly intend to kill are those that cross me, attack me, or blaspheme... Until then I will enjoy the sting of their blows, and the edge of mine that I give."

Well Dmitri, that response is a little more positive, but still, even if something had wings, a head growing out of its arse and eyes for nipples with a mouth running along its spinal column, I wouldn't attack it unless forced to. Ha, but you know, if we ever come across something of that description, maybe all it wants is a friend to make its unfortunate life that little more bearable.

What I will say is, you believe in what you believe. Nobody can take that from you or I, and I won't judge you for being religious or thinking as you do. Oh and if looks alone were enough to go by, I wouldn't trust that harpy thing, but her words seemed truthful enough, so if you're that desperate, give it a go I guess. At least one of us is getting some action!

Apollo laughs, as Dmitri's intentions are as clear as day.

One last thing before we join the others....If it's bloodlust you seek, why not work with me in taking out any Gnoll's we cross? We could take on one each, two each or even three each if we're feeling lucky....or just double team them one at a time. If nothing else, it'd speed things up, but then again, I don't intend to hold back against these flea ridden canines, so if it's a display of broken bone, blood and tenderized innards you crave, feel free to watch!

As the pair approach the building, Apollo looks across to the big circular building in the area, standing still as he momentarily stops to take a deep breath.

Well, I guess we'll be checking this church soon, you'll be having your fill......or at least the Harpy will, and then into the Battle Market....which is probably that big building over there.

Apollo points towards the building while flashing a cheeky grin.

I'll catch your story another time. It'll be a good way to pass time on the less busier days no doubt ahead of us.

Soon enough, Dmitri and Apollo return to the awkwardly silent tannery, huge snake's head in tow. When Undrella sees Dmitri carrying the thing, she claps her hands with delight and flaps forward to meet him. "Oh, thank you, you're the only man that's dared to bring me a head in ages...and what a big one, too!" she says with a wink. Flapping back to the rest of the group, Dmitri and Apollo hurrying to return as well, she takes the head from Dmitri and hauls it into a box, saying "That can wait for later, I have information to give you! Now is the appropriate time to ask questions, and now is when I will answer you."

She grins a harpie grin, and then says "And don't think I've forgotten my promise to betray my lover." She opens her palm to reveal a key. "This key will open any door in the Battle Market. Kardswann gave it to me when we made our deal about me staying here. I'll also fly down there today to talk to some smugglers there, and make sure they stay out of any fight that may happen to erupt there. That enough for you?"

Kardswann? What can you tell us about the Gnoll's around here, or the battle market in general? Who goes there? Do good and bad people gather there, and what can we do to keep a low profile?

Kori is actually surprised at how friendly the thing is being, and says as much, in her own way of being nice. "That's sounds pretty decent. I'd have to say, you aren't half as wicked as you look. I don't think we should rush the hill. We'd be seen climbing the whole way up. I think we need to follow the road so we can use the buildings for cover. We've been at this for a bit too, we also need to find a safe place to bed down when it's time." Mostly just thinking aloud, and hoping the others will include their input. Though she's certain Pain-lover has already decided where he's bedding down.

I looked for images of Kelmarane to get an idea of the layers of elevation, the Battle market is up a pretty steep incline from this side of town. I think the road would be the reasonable approach.

As Dmitri walks back, he makes certain that no gnolls followed him home. The snake likely bled, and dogs are rather capable of sniffing out blood, no? He imagined a half-dog/mutt thing was capable of moderate tracking. That was mere common sense.

Perception: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2 Alas, his mind is far into the gutter with snake inuendos to even remotely care to pay attention.

Returning back to the building, Dmitri is rather content with what his work paid out. A happy lady, and information that turned out vital. He was all smiles, to say the least.

He's rather bemused upon not seeing her take more interest in the snake head and merely throwing it away, but he tries not to show it. That does seem to bother him, however. Sense Motive to determine necessity of the snake head.: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6 Once again, he's too lost in his own immoral thoughts. Very immoral thoughts.

"It was of no trouble, Dearest Undrela! I aim to please, in more ways than one..." he says with his own trademark slur of ecstasy. "But that expletive is a thing for later! With everything that you've informed us of so far, we've no doubt ran out of favors, but... he talks, as he walks up closer to her, leaning over to ask her a simple question. Placing a finger on the bottom of her chin and raising her eyes to meet his.

To say that a look can pierce the soul is one thing, to actually have the ability to do so is another entirely. While Dmitri's unholy powers had not come to full fruition, he was still very much the coaxer. ...What would you have us do to garner physical aid? You dabble in chemicals, no? he says, glancing over at Hatim, remembering fairly well his hideous rage upon imbibing a concoction. "Would the luscious little minx have any method of seeing us to the end of our task?"

With that, he spins around, grabbing the woman by the shoulders, leaning into her ear and whispering under his breath; "I can be sure to compensate... especially if we're allowed lodging here." he leans back and walks back to the group, rather proud of himself, all the time with slight chuckle under his breathe.

Ye said you'd heard of a girl goes by the name of Haleen. Tell us about er! Angmar states a bit nervous.

She rolls her eyes, obviously indignant that Apollo doesn't just get it. "Kardswann is their leader, it's his name. He's a big guy, can't tell if he's a wizard or a warrior. He can walk through walls but he carries around this big axe...I just don't get it."

"And this ah...Haleen? Hmm...That name...Oh, I HAVE seen her around. Yes, the battle market is so called because battles are what take place there, and a girl recently absolutely humiliated Hurvank just a few days ago." she strokes her chin with taloned fingers..however, when Dmitri pulls her attention to him, she stares at him unblinkingly, red-flecked yellow eyes wide.

"You're asking me to...fight with you? Isn't it enough that I betray my lover for you? I, of course, will be there when you fight him. I may finish him off after his long and terrible fight that he comes out on top of, but I see no reason to put myself in danger from here, especially if your attacking the battle market is to take place later on."

Kori nods approvingly at the mention of a girl besting somebody, until she realizes she doesn't even know the somebody. So, she's not sure if it's even impressive anymore. "This Hurvank she whupped. Who or what is it. If it's big, I like this Haleen chick already. Nothing like showing folks they shouldn't think they can do what they want to us"

Dmitri seems taken aback at the mere idea of her actually aiding them in combat. "You? Assist us in combat? No, no, dearest Undrella, I merely requested that you aid us with your wares, provided you have any. I would never suggest you assist us with the actual fighting!" he says, stroking the side of the woman's face. "Far too delicate..."

Angmar seems clearly relived when he hears Haleen, or a woman by the name of Haleen, is actually here in the battle market and appears to be well.

Aye, girl always had fight inner she did!

"I don't precisely remember what he is...but he's big, for sure. I'm sure you'll find out when you meet him" she says with a wink to Kori's question of what Hurvank is.

She laughs when Dmitri clarifies his request, she laughs chirpingly again. "I thought I told you! This is a tannery! Do you want me to give you tanning chemicals?"

You got any knowledge regarding patrols around here? Best not draw attention to ourselves, and if you want Dmitri here in one piece, it'll benefit you also.

Apollo smirks with subtlety, slighting nodding his head.

Kori most likely misinterprets whatever meaning the harpy had behind her wink, instead rubbing her hands together in anticipation. "Sounds like a challenge I wouldn't mind taking. I brought down that deer-bird, I wonder if I can take something bigger." then something dawns on her, "Hey, if people are going in and out of this place like a monster bazaar, can't we just walk in too? They don't know we're here to kick their asses and clear the town of the awful lot of them."
