Razif comes up the stairs, breathing a silent prayer to Gozreh that Undrella's invisibility enchantment still holds as the bow-wielding gnolls stare right through him. The ranger silently looks to his right at the suli, his blurred form just out of sight from the guards behind the table barricade.

10 minutes remain on Drael's blur, Layaali's cat's grace, and Razif's invisibility. Please note, Razif, that your spell will end as soon as you directly attack a foe.

    Min climbs up the shaft of the stairs like a spider, firing a bolt of wintry magic at the nearest gnoll with both of his hands as his feet magically cling to the wall. The blast takes the gnoll completely off-guard, as does the appearance of Min’s pink-haired sibling at the top of the stairs.

    The (red) gnoll chooses to fire his bow at Rab-rab, attracted to the rabbit at her feet.

    The arrow flies true at the pink-haired gnome, but the winds circling her blow it harmlessly aside. The gnoll howls in frustration and moves laterally to have a better view of the stairs.

    The other (black) gnoll moves gingerly towards where the table flipped down, trying to sense where Razif hides.

    Sniffing cautiously, the gnoll growls and lashes out with his spear!

    The vicious thrust skirts by Razif’s form, missing him by a finger’s breadth. The gnoll grunts in puzzlement.

    Drael quickly steps in front of Rab-rab, blade in hand, and lashes out at the nearest gnoll.

    The suli carves into the gnoll attempting to stab at Razif, blood spraying as he lands a solid hit to the creature's shoulder. The gnoll growls and yips, but seems well-equipped to weather the damage.

    I've moved it so that it is adjacent to Razif on the map as it just attacked him (or tried to do so). We are awaiting Layaali's turn.

    Layaali follows the others up the stairs, drawing her crossbow as she goes. On the landing, she loads it.

    Razif takes a few steps back and draws his bow. He takes a deep breath: these are likely the best circumstances he's ever had for a shot. He takes aim to follow up Drael's attack with his own.

    The arrow flies true, piercing the gnoll in the upper chest and lodging in place. The creature jolts backwards, grabbing at the missile. Its head whips around at the now-visible Razif, its tongue lolling from its mouth as it snarls.

    "Li wir, wiya lo! Naha veşartî ye. Wext mirin e."

    Gnoll:
    "There you are, whelp! No more hiding. It is time to die."

    The gnoll with the bow dodges to the left, out of the way of Rab-rab's blast of air in leporine form, but catches a snowball in the snout from her sibling. It growls with annoyance as it draws back its bow.

    The arrow punctures Min's belly. The gnome cries out, the grievous wound a knife of fire lancing through his entire form. The other gnoll snarls in triumph, sidesteps Drael, and viciously thrusts his spear at Razif.

    Melee Attack, Favoured Enemy (Human): 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (8) + 8 + 2 = 181d8 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + 6 + 2 = 10 HIT! 10 pts of damage, Razif!

    The spear catches the ranger in his dominant arm, ripping a hunk of flesh and clothing free. The gnoll howls in delight at the bloody show.

    Layaali grunts in pain as Min's stomach wounds and Razif's arm begins to heal themselves, while Layaali's own stomach and arm tears open, soaking her clothes with blood. Life link auto-heals Min 5 and Razif 5. Layaali takes 10.

    Layaali prays aloud for aid, sending out a burst of healing energy that avoids the gnolls but heals herself and her allies.

    Layaali, I don't think your burst of healing hits Drael, though he is uninjured.

    The suli's attack misses the gnoll, crunching into the adobe wall on his right. Layaali draws her allies' injuries into herself then bathes everyone in the renewing vigour of Vildeis' love.

    A point of order here, Drael. You cannot flank with someone who doesn't have a melee weapon. Missed this earlier, but you still missed.

    Razif draws his arrow on the gnoll, a point-blank shot assured in his mind. With an unexpected swiftness, the gnoll ducks under the arrow as it streaks towards it, skewering only wood and plaster.

    It is Rab-rab and Min's turn.

    Rab-rab blasts a wave of bunny wind at the gnoll that hurt Min! The bunnies stomp on him as they blast by!

    Rab-rab's focus seems off, her rabbits running in the wrong direction at her commands. Min seems to be red-hot with his snowballs, however, pelting the bow-wielding gnoll with another pellet of ice. The gnoll growls viciously and shoots at Min.

    "Mirin!"

    The arrow clatters off the wall just to the right of Min. The frustrated gnoll barks and rushes past the gnome through a doorway to his right.

    The red gnoll is out of line of sight of anyone - it moved in the direction of the red arrow. You may move and potentially see him again, but no one can see him at present.

    The spear-wielding gnoll advances on Razif again.

    "It appears that you need a lesson. I am a good teacher."

    Drael moves closer to the door as he strikes out again at the gnoll who has brutalized Razif.

    Drael's longsword cleaves into the creature's neck, gore and blood spraying from the near-mortal wound. The gnoll takes a sudden wheezing inhalation, grievously wounded, as it turns to the bloodrager.

    Min, being very brave, slinks past Layaali and into the corner of the bunk room, being sure to stay out of the gnoll's reach.

    Min rolls his hands over each other faster and faster. "Kskooo kskooo!" He mutters over and over. Getting louder and LOUDER! Then he thrusts his hands forward and a beam of ice shoots out of his hands at the red gnoll!

    Rab-rab takes a five-foot step to the side and shoots a bunch of wind bunnies at the gnoll she can see.

    Min steps into the room past Layaali, spraying the bunks with ice but failing to hit the gnoll wielding the drawn bow. The gnoll grins wider and re-directs his nocked arrow at the small sorcerer.

    Rab-rab blasts the gnoll flanked by Razif and Drael with a blast of leporine magic. The kinetic force slams the creature into the wall to its right, crumpling it in an unmoving pile of limbs, fur, and fleas.

    Razif grits his teeth from the spear's wound once again, but before he can counter, Drael and Rab-rab effortlessly take down the massive gnoll.
    He nods at the two, then briefly turns to the corpse.
    "Second lesson: don't mess with us."

    Bow at the ready, Razif then moves into the room the remaining gnoll ran into, jumping between the gnome and the gnoll and shooting.

    Attack: 1d20 + 5 + 2 + 2 + 1 - 1 ⇒ (18) + 5 + 2 + 2 + 1 - 1 = 27
    Damage: 1d8 + 2 + 2 + 1 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 + 2 + 1 + 2 = 10

    Razif charges into the room, loosing his arrow on the fly. The pierces in the gnoll's meaty right thigh and lodges there, grotesquely skewering the creature's leg. The gnoll responds in kind by firing upon the ranger.

    Ranged Attack, Favoured Enemy: 1d20 + 8 + 2 ⇒ (18) + 8 + 2 = 281d8 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (1) + 4 + 2 = 7 HIT! 7pts of damage, Razif!

    The arrow from the gnoll punctures Razif's left chest, leaving him gasping for breath.

    I was under the impression that I moved exactly 25 feet, including the rule of diagonal spaces alternating as 5 and 10 ft, but will take your word for it since I can't see past edits to the document to verify his original position.

    As Razif's new chest wound begins to heal, another wound opens across Layaalis. Razif heals 5 and she loses 5.

    Then Layaali reloads her crossbow and steps carefully into the room.
