Dregan Hirscherz |

Dregan probably needs the composite longbow more but he won't press his claim on it and he will buy a master-worked one with 3 strength as soon as he can afford it, so can pass it on.

Talia Khavortorov |

In addition to the shortsword I claimed in the gameplay thread, I'd like a dagger and my share of the gold (10 gp, or 1/6th of the 65 gp split between the party and Asha).

Naralesh |

Dregan it is! Magna is more a melee figther, anyway.
Did the bandits have horses? A war Trained one is what Magna needs!
The dead cavalier's mount is stabled at Oleg's. He deserves to be a warrior's mount - take him! :)

Updated Loot List:
4 sets leather armor
3 longbows
4 short swords (1:Talia)
4 daggers (1:Talia)
composite longbow (+2 STR) (Dregan)
65 gp (1/6 shares taken; 10 gp/share; 5 remainder; Talia)
Silver Stag Lord amulet (35 gp) (Magna)
75 arrows
8 days worth of trail rations
4 light horses
1 warhorse (Magna)
50 gp (1/6 shares taken; 8 gp/share; 2 remainder; Talia)
2 potions CLW
1 potion Shield of Faith
I split the gp into shares, one for each PC, plus Asha. Let me know if you all would like to do something different.
Should we put the remainder into a community pot, to be split up later, or spent on a community item (like a CLW wand)?
Anything that is claimed has the claimer's name in parenthesis after it. Let me know what else you all want and I'll update the list.

Dregan Hirscherz |

Looks good,
I suggest keeping the arrows and food. Both are cheap and we will go through. I suggest that we keep all the horses too, firstly so everyone has one and then extras for pack horses/spare mounts. Everyone who doesn't have a ranged weapon and can use a bow should grab a longbow.
The potion of shield of faith should be held for when take on the other camp of bandits (or another pressing use) and it doesn't worry me who holds on to it and the CLWs.

Gavriil |

Sorry for my absence, it's getting close to opening night for the show I'm in and rehearsals have taken up a lot of my time. I should be fine to post, but if I can't I'll just let you know, Old Guy, and you can GMPC me.
As for the loot...
Gavriil will take a longbow with 20(?) arrows, a horse, and his share of the gold, if that's ok with everyone.
Quick question about the horses, Old Guy. Do they just have saddles? Or do they have saddle bags and feed as well?

Magnitofera Skeller |

Magna will take:
Warhorse
Longbow
Dagger
Silver Stag Lord amulet (35 gp)
15 arrows
Potion Shield of Faith
As she is getting a lot, maybe she can skip the gold.

Naralesh |

I agree with OGGM, let's only claim what we need - we get to liquidate any unclaimed items for full market value. That's a lot of gold - we can buy some excellent items with the payout. No need to claim the goods if we think we'd resell them later.
For his part, Naralesh only wants his share of the gold. He's got all the equipment he needs on his character sheet already.

Updated Loot List:
4 sets leather armor
1/3 longbows (2: Gavriil, Magna)
3/4 short swords (1:Talia)
2/4 daggers (2:Talia, Magna)
0/1composite longbow (+2 STR) (Dregan)
65 gp (3/4 shares taken; 16 gp/share; 1 remainder; Talia, Gavriil, Naralesh)
0/1 Silver Stag Lord amulet (35 gp) (Magna)
40/75 arrows (20: Gavriil; 15:Magna)
8 days worth of trail rations
4/5 light horses, including Magna's (Gavriil)
0/1 warhorse (Magna)
50 gp (3/4 shares taken; 12 gp/share; 2 remainder; Talia, Gavriil, Naralesh)
2/2 potions CLW
0/1 potion Shield of Faith (Magna)
I split the gp into shares, one for each PC, plus Asha. Let me know if you all would like to do something different. Magna has bowed out of her share.
I agree with Dregan that regardless of who takes the items, we should keep the arrows, rations and potions. I could go either way on the horses - they could go a long way towards a wand of CLW, but on the other hand, our horses are sure to perish at some point, I'd think. If we keep the horses, would we have to stable them at Oleg's while we are out mapping? If so, should we put the money from the leather armor and excess weapons into a housing fund for the horses and ourselves?

Talia Khavortorov |

Naralesh, would you want a CLW potion? As a wizard, you may be targeted more than others. Also, Gavriil or Dregan, one of you want the other one? You'll both be in melee a fair amount.
Also, OGGM, does Asha want anything? I've got her figured for a share of gold.

Talia Khavortorov |

Thank you, sir. I've edited the gold to reflect Asha not taking a share.

Old Guy GM |

I mean, sell the horses to Oleg, use the money for the wand
Understood. My point is that you are going to be exploring and mapping tracts of land. The need to get around from point to point is paramount. Plus, the ability to carry supplies.
I'm not saying don't do it, I'm saying think carefully. This isn't your normal AP, the very sandbox nature changes things for you.

Talia Khavortorov |

How about a compromise? We sell two horses now, and have two that can be used as pack animals or in case any of ours get killed.

Updated Loot List:
4 sets leather armor
1/3 longbows (Gavriil, Magna)
3/4 short swords (Talia)
2/4 daggers (Talia, Magna)
0/1 composite longbow (+2 STR) (Dregan)
65 gp (3/4 shares taken; 16 gp/share; 1 remainder; Talia, Gavriil, Naralesh)
0/1 Silver Stag Lord amulet (35 gp) (Magna)
40/75 arrows (20: Gavriil; 15:Magna)
8 days worth of trail rations
4/5 light horses, including Magna's (Gavriil)
0/1 warhorse (Magna)
50 gp (3/4 shares taken; 12 gp/share; 2 remainder; Talia, Gavriil, Naralesh)
1/2 potions CLW (Naralesh)
0/1 potion Shield of Faith (Magna)
For sale to Oleg:
4 leather (40gp)
1 longbow (75gp)
3 short swords (30gp)
2 daggers (4gp)
Total: 149 gp
If we sell two horses at 75 gp each, then we have 399 gp. Sell all the extra horses and we have 449 gp.

Gavriil |

Yeah, keep two spares. You never know when we need to haul a treasure vault back, or even the bandit if we catch him alive. If no one else wants to hold onto it I'll hold the other Cure light and use it on whoever needs it (Which might be me anyway if the dice don't change lol)

2/4 daggers (Talia, Magna)

65 gp (4/4 shares taken; 16 gp/share; 1 remainder; Talia, Gavriil, Naralesh; Dregan)

0/75 arrows (20: Gavriil; 15:Magna; 35: Dregan)
0/8 days worth of trail rations (group)
2/5 light horses, including Magna's (Gavriil, 2 for the group)
0/1 warhorse (Magna)
50 gp (4/4 shares taken; 12 gp/share; 2 remainder; Talia, Gavriil, Naralesh, Dregan)
0/2 potions CLW (Naralesh, Gavriil)

For sale to Oleg:
4 leather (40gp)

3 short swords (30gp)
2 daggers (4gp)
2 horses (150gp)
Total: 401 gp (399 from sale of equipment and 2 from remainder of 50gp lot)
OK, everything is spoken for, I think. We'll have 401 in the kitty. Everyone OK for saving up for a CLW wand? We can also split the gold (80 per person, 1 remainder).

Naralesh |

I really don't want to lose Naralesh again by fighting a battle we're not ready for. It's hard to put "Let's not be level 1's when we fight a battle where we're outnumbered" into in-character chat, but...
Let's not be level 1's when we fight the bandits.

Talia Khavortorov |

Updated the Kingmaker Google doc to have a group loot tab as well. OGGM, could we get this pinned to the top page? You can find it here.
We could use the original tracking sheet that Mello set up as well, but I'm not sure that we would be able to change permissions as needed.
Edit: Just realized I had created the sheet with the wrong Google account. New sheet has been created and the URL now links to that one.

Old Guy GM |

Going forward then, a quick list of the order of things when exploring a new hex:
- Statement of which hex you exploring.
- All rolls. One person aided by the others. we will figure out who does what best.
- Results of exploration. Could be nothing, could be an encounter.
- Description of hex for mapping purposes.
So if I get the rolls right away, I can move the hex exploration along. Sometimes you will get through 2 or more hexes at a crack. Sometimes, you won't, as events pop up.
Talia will need to keep the map up to date; with some method to show the hex has been explored and (for later) claimed.

Talia Khavortorov |

Great! I will aid with perception. Not going to bother with survival - Talia wouldn't know a thing about getting along in nature.
I'd think Dregan should take the survival roll, Naralesh the nature roll, and either Dregan or Gavriil the perception roll.
I'll think on the "explored" marker. Probably a boundary in a different color than the red used for Brevoy.
Question: Say tomorrow we want to explore hex f2. Could it be assumed that we camped somewhere on the border of our current hex (f1) and won't have to spend tomorrow in transit? If we sleep back at Oleg's tonight, then it would be 3 hours in transit plus one day exploring, meaning that we couldn't actually get to exploring until day Pharast 9?

Talia Khavortorov |

Where would everyone like to explore on Pharast 8?

Old Guy GM |

I would think you don't return to Oleg's every night. So you could set a path for your expedition. For example, you could say this expedition is to map the hexes along the 1 row, south of the road, returning to Oleg's when complete. This would allow you plan a whole trip, rather than deciding hex by hex.
You will need to think of textures for plains, forests, and hills; later for mountains.
I don't know that I would go with a hex border for explored hexes. When you add claimed hexes later, it will get very busy, and very confusing. Maybe place a small symbol or letter in the hex? 'E' and 'C' maybe?

Talia Khavortorov |

OK, I used the "scrub" symbol for the plains, as I rather like the green background color and texture that exists now.
I also created a gray "fog" layer of hex-shaped gray pieces that will obscure the map from view that hasn't been uncovered, allowing us to easily differentiate between where we've been and will go. Each hex fog cover can be removed as we go.
What do you all think of OGGM's suggestion? Start by scouting the row 1 hexes south of the road? We could easily get back to Oleg's after knocking out those two, or we could head further south and knock out the hexes headed back to Oleg's in row 2 (hexes 2H, 2G, 2F), depending on our situation and food stores.
I'll certainly be able to add mountain and hill textures as we come across them.
