Speaking of wealth...let us split our share of the chest we found. What we have done in the past was split everything equally with any extra coin going into a common found. This fund will be used to purchase items that benefit us all, when the amount gets high enough that is. I think the split would be three hundred and one gold pieces each with one gold left over. Zade is this correct?

He looks around at all of the companions
We also have the wand of lesser restoration, a wand of cure light wounds and two small gold ingots each weighing about 5 pounds. How much do you thing we could get for those ingots?
The standard coin weighs about a third of an ounce (50 to the pound) so that would be another 500gp?

Is Oleg's able to exchange that much currency? Andreas converted it all to gp to split - it doesn't split that way if it can't be converted to gp.(114gp each with 3 extra and 18pp with 4 extra which is only "294"gp) Plus what type of coin we carry matters for encumberance.

Rillka would request her share in platinum pieces - they are easier for her to carry. 30pp 1gp

Everyone can take their share in what ever coin they want. I personally do not see the need to carry all that coin when we are out exploring but to each their own. I would recommend that each of you see Master Oleg for supplies before we depart again. He may be able to order something for you and have it delivered here for when next we stop in. We also have several trust worthy people that are here helping Master Oleg out. You could leave those items that are not needed when exploring here in safe keeping.

"Excellent idea, Roke! We've worked for this money, and we should get this money working for us. We should send a message to the closest temple of Abadar to see if we can set up a satellite branch. As a member of the clergy, they may even waive the usual franchise fee for me.

The church will also provide us with the current Ordained Interest Rate, so we could make some small loans to those people we rescued to help them get back on their feet.

Zade gets a vague look on his face as numbers begin to tumble through his mind.

:: Pharast 27 - Noon - Oleg's ::

@Andreas - The gold ingots are worth 250 gold each. So ya 500 gp.

@Everyone - Oleg can't exchange the platinum to gold, otherwise he wouldn't have any money to use for trading. So you will have to figure out how many of each coin you have for encumbrance.

As the group converses about their current wealth and what to do next, the people they rescued are fed by Oleg and Svetlana.

Akiros and his men seem to be settling in well enough. They have been helping Keston Garess and his men with guarding Oleg's and hunting to bring meat in for everyone. Oleg, Svetlana, and Keston seem happy enough with the arrangement. Akiros and one of the other's are currently out hunting, while Keston and a partner keep watch.

While the group talks, Jhod comes up to them. "So have you done it? Have you found the temple?" His eagerness is plain on his face, even if his forwardness a bit much.

Male HP:49/49 AC:21 T:13 FF:18 F:+6 R:+3 W:+2 Perc:+6 Init:2 Bastard Sword +9, 1d10+3 CMB:+8 CMD:+20 EA: Defend Human Cavalier 5

Andreas stand after dispersing the coins as each person has requested.
Since we are not able to convert money and some people wish to have less coin due to encumbrance....Zade: 134gp, 16pp Gird: 4gp, 29pp Rilka: 4gp, 29pp Roke: 114gp, 18pp Kazmuk: 134gp , 16pp Andreas: 294gp
Everyone should get 294 split with 3gp and 4pp going into the common fund. The 2 gold ingots will also go into the common fund as we can not exchange that as of yet. GIRD: you also have a 114gp worth of credit with Oleg from our first group. 570 total that I split 5 ways.

I will talk to Master Oleg about the gold ingots and see what he can do for us.

He looks around the outpost for a few moments and then back at his companions.
I had felt everyone deserved some down time but was not sure we could spare that much time. Two days?...so if you start today we could leave on the 29th? Correct?

Andreas looks to Zade...
I am not against such things but it is not our outpost nor our lands. I think you need to talk with Master Oleg before you send any messages. Sticking with what we were brought here to do should come first and then worry about something like this latter. We are close enough to a fair sized town...if we find ourselves in desperate need of a secured vault.

Jhod wrote:
"So have you done it? Have you found the temple?"

Andreas speaks to the man in a calm and positive manner.

Master Jhod, I am sorry but we have not found it yet. We just finished exploring some lands to the south-east of here and have not found any temples. Orcs aplenty but no temple. We are doing what we can and it you have any other information that you could pass along to us...that would be helpful. We were about to decided what we are going to do after a short break. We have to resupply and I would like to see to those that needed our aid out in the wilderness.

He turns to his companions again.
come two days time or sooner, which direction do we wish to head in. Back to the same area to check in on the orcs? To see if our tactics worked? or...in a different direction?

After some time discussing the future, Andreas goes to talk with Oleg.
Master Oleg, is there anything that you need from us? How are the new guest doing. I have the coin to pay for what they needed. If you have the time I am in need of a few things. If you have the connections...need some scale barding. I also am in need of another horse with the complete set up. After some time talking with him back and forth on items...I also have these ingots that I was hoping you would be interested in taking off of out hands...

:: Pharast 27 - Noon - Oleg's ::

Jhod looks disappointed but thanks you for at least looking while you're out there.

Oleg's answer to Andreas, "Don't worry about the new comers. Their meals are free today and they agreed to help out around here for theri keep the next little while. I'm going to have to get Akiros to hunt faster!" Oleg says with chuckle. "Of course I can get you those items, just get me a list of everything the group wants and I can either get it out tomorrow or put it on order for you." At the mention of the gold bars Oleg's eye brows shoot up, "Well, if you give them to me I can give you some store credit like before. I don't have the coin to pay you proper."

Like before, if everyone can give me a list of what they want to buy/put on order I'll sort it out.

Andreas nods to Oleg as he talks.
Master Oleg. This is your home and your lands...We have come to your door uninvited and yet you have show us nothing but grace and hospitality. Even when we bring people back to your property, you still hold your head high with dignity and accepted those that we brought here as guests. You have allowed Kazmuk to build a forge even though you do not know him. You have let us stay on your property for far too long without asking for anything in return. I am humbled by your generosity and your noble heart. Thank you for all that you have done for us.
He extend his hand to Oleg in a show of thanks.

He turns and invites Oleg to walk with him.
The lands are still untamed but little by little we are clearing them out of the evil that has dug in. I am not sure who or what we will find out there when we leave again. Any repairs that you should need...I am certain that you only need to ask and those here will lend you any and all the aid you should need. If we are overstaying our welcome please do not hesitate to let us know. I know of no other place that we could hold up that is safe for all of us.

He stops with Oleg by a poster board and looks at it.
These are the quest that we have completed but have not been rewarded for yet...just a reminder...OH Gird you get another 200gp. That is the reward for returning Svetlana's ring. We never divided that up and since the other three players are no longer here...well then we should still split it five ways.
As he reads down the board...
Any word from the Swordlords?...we have removed several bandits and I think we have put a large dent in their activities in the area. You have not heard of any problems from the Kobolds lately have you. I hope that they keep to their agreement and live on in peace. Oh how is the Tatzlwyrm's head coming along. I would think that would bring about much talk these days. None of us have seen any signs of the pig in the areas we have explored. Master Bokken has asked us to find his fangberries for him.

Andreas stops and addresses Oleg
Master Oleg I apologize for taken up so much of your time and I thank you for indulging me. I will leave you to your own then...

Andreas makes his way to where Kesten Garess is standing watch.
Lord Garess...Might I beg of you a word...please. I wanted to pass along that we have some information on Falgrim Sneeg. We think we know where he is. He has joined up with the Stag Lord. We will do everything in our power to bring him back alive to face justice.

When he meets up with the others...
A few things we will need to figure out before we can move onward.
Do we wish to take the wagon with us again and if so do we wish to upgrade the wagon to a sturdier one? I have order some barding to help protect Daisy...She is getting old and does not move as well as she used to but she is a good companion and I wish to see her for as long as I can. This armor will slow us down a bit 35 movement but I feel it is for the best. I also have purchased another horse for the wagon. We have options as to where we should go. We could go back to the area that the orcs were in and finish explore that area. I think it will be dangerous but we might want to know what happened to the orcs. That happens to be in the southeastern direction so maybe we would run into this lost temple...Thoughts?

I will order the barding, Ioun Torch, 13 days worth of animal feed, 6 days worth of rations and a riding horse 353gp 6sp 5cp

Everyone has 84gp worth of credit with OLEG. I will take 80gp worth of credit to make it even for everyone...I am not worried at all about it.I have used up all of my credit now.

Specific item questions:
Wooden case with 8 bottles of translucent greenish liquid.
Silver Candelabra with holy symbol - what diety's holy symbol?
Wooden Holy Symbol - What diety's holy symbol?
Manacles (Small Sized) - Rillka makes note that these will need to be refordged as soon as Kazmuk gets his forge working.

What is the difference between "camp armory" and "camp misc item"s and where exactly is all this stuff? Are we lugging all this stuff around - if so why and if not, why are we not selling it?

@Rostam - RIllka will request additional mapping supplies from Oleg - parchments, inks, quills.
She will leave the map of the orc compound at Oleg's.

Enough rations to have a full weeks rations/feed/carnivore feed.
Halfling Trail Rations/day (2gp|.25lb) =14gp|1.75lb

Total = 14gp, 7 silver; using Oleg's credit balance 65gp 3sp remain.

:: Pharast 27 - Afternoon - Oleg's ::

What I got from Andreas' post - You've completed the bandit quest, the kobold quest, and the tatzlwyrm quest and want the reward. Tuskgutter and Bokken's quests are still open. And a list of stuff to buy. I just want to confirm that.

Oleg goes along with Andreas, "No need to thank me for anything, you stopped the bandits after all, and we are still recovering from it." After the stop at the quest board he says, "I'll follow up and see whats happening with all these."

.

Kazmuk speaks with the people they've rescued, asking about experience building anything. The oldest one replies, "I've rised a few houses of stone and wood, as well as dug foundations before. I'm sure I can guide the lot of us through the work safely and successfully."

They can act as a crew for building the forge, you just need a location for it now. As for the cost 200 gp will cover everything for the crafts people's labor and the materials. Oleg plans on paying for the materials as his part of having the forge built.

We are not carrying all this stuff around we us. It is all at the base camp that is at Olegs. The camp armory is just that an Armory: Weapons and armor...stuff like that.
Camp Misc...is just stuff that is miscellaneous and in the base camp.

The only things that I personally take with me are in the wagon that is Supplies for Exploration:Light Wagon: 488.5/1000 lbs or on my character and not listed under the Loot tab.

As to why we have all this stuff...it never came up in the game and previous DM never had a problem with it being at Olegs. We just never sold the items and the reason could be that we kind of meta gamed it. Maybe...our characters know nothing at all about the future kingdom to come and we should have sold the items...We as players know that we could use these items in the future and did not sell them...maybe...I am not sure...we just never did anything with them. no other reason.

Nosing through stuff, as they offload and separate some of the items acquired from the wagons, mites, and orcs; Rillka will suggest the Silver Candelabra would be a fine addition to the forge building when finished as both honor the Forge Father.

She also suggests carrying the Erastil holy symbol if we are going looking for a temple of the same.

Rillka largely ignores the discussions regarding where to go next, her only contribution is to question the wisdom to go looking for the large collection of warrior orcs we avoided a fight with after barely surviving a brief encounter with their rear guard.

Andreas listen to the others as they talk about wisdom.
It may not be the wisest of actions but leaving any force of that size free to roam without any knowledge of what they are up to is also not wise. I am not certain that any of us should gamble the lives of everyone here on our subterfuge. I just wish there was a way to find out what those orcs are up to.

He pauses as he thinks of how best to proceed.
The temple is south of here somewhere...If the orcs fell for our tactics then I would think they are heading for the Staglord. We very way may run into them going south.

He looks to the defenses that are around the Outpost.
We take the South Restland Road towards Restov. When we get past the area east of the Orc encampment..we follow the river southwest to where it meets up with the Thorn river. Skirting out and away from the orcs while exploring the plains to the southeast of Olegs.

He lets this sink in for a few seconds.
...or....we keep the wagon here and head west into the forest. Bring a few extra horses as pack animals and supplement our rations with foraging as we go. The orcs are south of here regardless if the fell for out tricks or not. So we go east or we go west ...

Standing up and meeting the gaze of everyone around him.
We leave in two days time, the 29th. That should give Kazmuk ample time to finish the enchantment...I hope at least.

East...west...anyone want to weigh in on this?

Rillka spreads the exploration map out on a table and examines it carefully. So many new places to go, which will the tall folk choose first?

We will be leaving right at the full moon - pic a direction where we won't encounter any of Dagai and Nareth's kin folk. And stay away from anywhere the orcs band might be. Kungekhona ukuba uphulaphule.

Andreas is about to say something when he stops..He remains quiet for some time as Roke speaks up.

I am sorry for this but there are a few things that need to be brought up before we continue on.
He looks at Rillka with calm manner and a voice of a neutral tone.
Lady Rillka with all due respect I do not understand some of the the language you were speaking. If you wish to say something that would be of benefit to all of us then I ask you to please do so in a language that all of us speak. I can only imagine that it is hard to speak in a language that is not your native tongue but to do other wise might cause some confusion in the future for us.

He turns to look at the others and address them all
It has been brought to my attention that the fight with the orcs that did not go as planned was my fault. That my actions nearly got us all killed, that I do not listen nor trust any of you...
He looks at each of them directly.
To make myself perfectly clear...I am abundantly aware of what is going on around me. Every bruise, every injury, every action, every death weighs on me. I take all of your thoughts and concerns into consideration when we make decisions. I trust each and everyone of you with my life and with the lives of everyone that we have encountered. The men and women that are here in this outpost count on us to trust each other. If I did not trust you then I would not be out there with you. There are too many people that are counting on us, depending on us to bring civility to these lands. So I say to each of you...Do you trust me in moving forward. If not, now is the time to speak up and we will part ways. We can not go out there into these dangerous lands without trusting each other.

***Some time later after that talk of trust.***
I do not think we should travel too far away. The lost temple is to the south and with the orcs also to the south somewhere...we should go in a different direction. In two days time...the 29th...We head west into the forest. We continue on for the old thorn river bandit camp. From there we head northwest and then turn back towards the outpost. I think we should all have about a weeks worth of rations and animal feed. We could use some pack animals to transport these goods as the wagon would not do well in the forests. We should hunt and scavenge as we travel to help keep our food stores up.
That should be 5 or six hexes to explore

Andreas looks to the walls and then at his companions.
We should make sure the outpost is on alert for the next couple of weeks. Without current knowledge of the situation with the orcs, we should remain alert for them. We should also send word to Restev about the location of an orc war band only a few dozen miles from the trade road.

Rillka rolls her eye and scowls at Andreas speech about trust. She begins speaking slowly, without anger, almost disappointed...

You still don't get it. I told you before: I expect better of you.
A leader makes his people better, he listens to them and allows them to use their strengths. You need to trust in the group. You need to make us be better than we think we can be, not limit us by trying to protect us on your own.
Your plan was to stay together and take the orcs down because they are tough. Then you charged off. If it wasn't for Kazmuk stepping in, I would have died and he barely stayed up from the blow he took for me. You almost died. Gird almost died. And what happened at the orc camp was all your fault. Because you didn't follow your own plan.
You did not follow your own plan! My words in my tongue - I keep saying you don't listen. You didn't listen to your own council... you didn't stay with the group and keep us together and keep us strong. I am mad because you don't listen - to you. So tell me how do we trust you?
Rillka takes a moment to look at the group, before turning her gaze back to Andreas. How do I trust you to be there? Because you weren't. And I expect better of you. She then crosses her arms, clearly waiting on a response.

"You know, without all those orcs, this would be fine, profitable farmland. Even with the orcs, you might be able to turn a profit, but its hard to get credit at an acceptable rate with the constant threat of raids." He furrows his brow. "Whatever Roke says is fine with me."

Very well then

Andreas' posture remains calm. His voice is controlled and neutral, speaks to the group as a whole.
In the future, if anyone should have any doubts or concerns about my abilities or anyone else that is part of this group. Come forth and talk about it openly...do mumble your anger under your breath or in another language, nor assault and try to belittle them in private. It is disrespectful and all of us deserve better than that.

He lets his words sink in for a few moments before continuing on.
Lady Rillka is correct on one thing...that I did not follow through with the plan that we decided on. I made the choice that I felt was the best course of action given our circumstances...and I will do it again if the need arises. The plan was a good one but after contact with orcs...it needed to be adjusted. I did what I did so that we had a better chance at success. We had a wall to our backs and the enemy was already trying to flank us on two fronts. That in of itself is hard enough to defend against let alone defending against a third front. I trust in each of you and in your ability to handle your own. Combat is a messing thing and the outcome can not be determined by the roll of some dice. I was protecting everyone here just like I trust in each of you to do what is need to aid and protect your companions. I do not and will not protect you to the detriment of you or your abilities to do what is asked of you.

He turns and addresses Rillka
Lady Rillka it is not up to me to tell you how to trust me. I can tell you everything you want to hear...but it is up to you...it is your choice. I can not tell you how to feel or think. You are welcomed to continue with us but if you feel strongly against trusting me and wish to move on. I will not stop you from leaving.

Then to Roke
Master Roke, The plan is to head west and explore. In a week or so we should be able to head south again, that should be enough time for the Orcs to have moved on. I hope at least. The temple is in the south and we should strive to locate it as soon as possible.

and then to Zade...
Lord Lebeda...these lands are not ours to profit from. I am sorry but we have no say in the out come of these lands, that is up to the Dragonscale throne to determine.

:: Pharast 27 - Evening - Oleg's ::

After a day of planning and preparing the group has settled in around the fire inside he outpost until its time for bed. As you talk amongst yourselves, with Oleg, Svetlana, and the others, Akiros and one of his men come in through the gate, a dressed deer slung across each of their shoulders.

The two bring the deer over to the kitchen and Svetlana jumps up to help them. After a few minutes, Akiros comes over to the group. "So, Svetlana tells me you intend to head back out in a couple days, looking for the temple." Akiros looks at Rillka and nods, "As we spoke about before, I would like to accompany you there if I could and I suspect the temple is north west of the Thorn River Camp. I'm not sure where you were headed, but that's where I'd suggest starting."

She then looks to the group... Please. Rillka looks at the group, her expression a mix of pleading and hopeful.

Lord...are you certain...Northwest. Every other piece of information we have has sent us south to look for the Temple. We were planning on exploring a small area to the west until things calmed down a bit to the south with the orcs. We are leaving at first light.

As the other speak up he quietly listens to them and watches Akiros.
There seems to be no sounds of disagreement. Akiros we will be honored to have you ride with us. There are some extra horse in the stable that you can ride.

He looks back at the others and then back at Akiros.
When we first found you...it was a tense encounter and even then you showed honor. We all agreed to give you and your men a second chance at a good life. Back then I told you that the first steps would be hard and you were willing to take them. If we find this temple...these will be the hardest steps you will take thus far. I foresee a very painful and difficult road ahead of you. It is one I willingly will walk beside you on if you will have me.

He looks to the others again.
If this information is true and it seems to be just that, we should have someone else join us...Jhod Kavken. It was he who first informed us of the lost temple and its general direction. We should see if he wants to join us as well. It is only fair.

Akiros smiles at his acceptance into the group. "Thank you all for letting me come with you, I will certainly make the most of it." With a puzzled look he asks of Andreas', "Are the spare horses in the stables yours, or will I need Oleg's permission?" I'm honestly not sure what your guys mount situation currently is or if your planning on taking a wagon, etc. Its a bit hard to keep track of with all the back and forth on whats going to happen. Please let me know.

Hearing his name, Jhod comes over, "Since it seems that we have a likely destination in mind, I will happily join you all. I know some spells that may be useful."

I'll leave it open for role playing for a bit. I'll move forward with leaving the outpost Saturday morning.
