***Round 16***

Locke casts create water once more to splash on the fire. He murmurs under his breath.

DM notes:
Pledge to spirit of water to return a favor to empower his spell and to help him stop the burn of the fire.

***Round 17***

Seg continues trying to bring water to the fire, with the peasants, Vuvu, and more peasants, now that they know most if not all of the goblin threat has been taken care of.

Ash charges the goblins, barking all the way, the goblins are intimidated by the dog, the two closest cringe and fall to the ground, "Whimper, whimper, whine".

The other two just run off, taking full withdraws, though slowed because of their exhaustion. "Ahhh Dog! Runnnn!"

Locke drops the warhammer, makes a circular motion with his hands before him and water pours out of his hands.

Round 15 and 16

Segregius helps establish a good water chain. He throws some helpful order around and integrates himself into the link. His goal if possible is to have water going to fight 3 different fires. He also keeps a lookout for stray goblins that could attack the villagers and for people trapped in their houses.

RD 15 16

Come on people! Get out here and save you houses! Vuvu bawls out.

Then in a shocking tender way It's ok Ash, thakn you for saving me. He smiles at the dog.

Vuvu helps with the water chain.

Cleric do that again! He calls to Locke.

Now basically out of combat. Arsil and Tyrel finish off the two cowering goblins, Ash helps out too! He immolates while tearing at their necks.

With Vuvu and Seg's leadership and quick actions the fire brigade is made and the fires are out in minutes.

Locke does a few more spouts of water to help stop the spread of the flames.

All of a sudden you can all hear a monstrously loud voice yell from the confines of the Dragon's Draught, "Kirren!!!"

Perception DC 20, and can see the West side of the inn.:
You can see what appears to be many of the women leaving the West side the the inn, Kirren seems to be among them.

Hemmings you get to the far side and see a bunch of females, likely a good bunch of the working girls from the inn, heading away from the inn, they have packs on though they looks like they left in a hurry.

Whoa whoa, hold on!. Where are you all going?. We've beaten the goblins back. This place is safe again. If anything, leaving town right now is the most dangerous thing you could do. Whats going on here? Come on ladies, you've got brave men with sharp steel here at your beck and call.

Vuvu you don't know the story until you have heard both sides of it, so please don't jump into conclusions nor any death threat just yet they are unarmed woman after all. she replies with a smile.

The group of women have stopped, it takes a few moments of the women looking to each other and seem to be looking for someone. Then one of them leaves the group to speak for them.

It seems that Kirren is no longer with the women. Though some of you did see him just a moment ago.

"We leave with what few personal prossessions we have, for the true owner of the Inn has come calling and Kirren, our boss, has decided it would be best if we left." She says confidently.

Sense Motive DC 12:
The confidence is false, but she is attempting to put it forward.

if they want to leave that is their right isn't it? after all they are no slave. And tyrel do please remember that you are talking to unarmed frightened womans who just witness an all out assault on the town by a goblin tribe. A little warmth does go a long way won't you agree. And we are not the inn owner that the work agreement would be between them and that person. says arsil still with the same smile.

Their village just got attacked by a swarm of goblins and I won't be blaming them for leaving but why lie with that reason? Seg throws a furious look at Vuvu at the mention of thievery. Tyrel rise to their defense before he can come up with a rebutal and he places himself behind the paladin, A silent vote of support.

Sense motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

As he listens to the working girl he notices her hands briefly clutching at her dress. Her head maybe poised for confidence but her hands give way to her anxiety.

I hear you Tyrel. What has Kirren got to hide?. Is he on the run? Are you stealing from the Dragon's draught.

perception(Looking for Kirren hiding amongst the girls): 1d20 ⇒ 17

Yes, welcome back.

Tyrel/Sense Motive DC 12:
Sorry, the confidence is false she is about to cry in front of you, though they are not lying. You believe the females are very afraid, the speaker is being truthful.

"Tali should be in the Inn, though I don't know what attitude the real owner is with her, I don't know his name." She says.

Another of the girls speaks up, "His name is Cornash, one to have said be a mighty wizard, vampire, and elf."

Hemmings:
Findings on the 6 bodies that you searched, 4 gems, no staffs.

"Would one or more of you be willing to escort us a ways away from the inn?" Another female blurts out, almost ready to cry.

Thanks guys!

One of the girls drops to the ground crying, "Kirren took care of us, and he knew his father would not be happy the way he is running things now." Says the girl who said that Cornash is the real owner of the inn.

Another girl steps up away from the group, looking side to side, seeming to look for someone. She then speaks up, "Kirren was not good to us, he just made you think it that way, he beat many of us and took advantage of our situations, many of us have been sold to him in slavery!"

Sense Motive DC 15:
This girl is the most truthful with her words than the rest, though you think that many of them are just scared rather than trying to lie.

Perception DC 10 - Kirren is not among the women.

Hmmph. I knew that Kirren was no good. I leave it to sir Paladan to determine the truthfulness of your words. If you are honest then you have nothing to fear from me. Though I question the wisdom of your leaving. I must go check on someone. Ash will you join me?

Vuvu hurries to find his master.

Ash goes with Vuvu barking happily, the flames all went out when investigating the women.

As Vuvu strolls up to the shop his master had set up he takes a deep breath and raches down and pets Ash for a moment. Well moment of truth huh buddy.

replying to tyrel in a soft voice only he would hear,Tyrel lying because you are scared isn't a crime. What every they want to hide really about the present situation is their choice. But they aren't stealing they are just running away. Running from a bad situation that is for sure. If they don't want our help i won't blame them. after all vuvu just threatened to kill, you and Segregius accused them of stealing. We are all covered in goblin's blood, with weapons in hands. Put yourselves in their shoes.

apparently Kirren and the new owner, Tyrel.

Vuvu gets to your master's hovel, and you don't hear anything for a few moments, once you get up your courage to open the door, you hear giggling, evil small giggling.

"Kirren told us Cornash would be very upset that his inn was turned into a brothel and that it would be best to leave rather than possibly take his wrath. Kirren said he would protect us, but that must be another lie, for he is no where around us now. Whatever you think is best." Says the women's main spokeswoman.

While escorting a bunch of escort girls sounds like dream job to Hemmings, he's interested in what happened to his friend Tali. He leaves the others to their business and sneaks back into the Dragon, trying to see what's going on in there without being noticed. He also keeps his ears and eyes open for signs of Tali or Kirren.

My apologies ladies, I was wrong in my assumptions. I still believe that leaving the village now would be too dangerous. I do not know this Cornash but rest assured that I would lay down my life before I would let him harm any of you. And if this yellow-bellied Kirren shows up again, we will pass him to court. Such crimes are frowned upon, even in Cheliax. We now need to find shelter for you here in this village, at least until we can clear the goblin invaders.

Vuvu:
You come in and see two goblins. One is munching on herbs as the other is making something into mincemeat on the floor, splattering blood every direction. With alchemist fire you will likely start a fire and burn the hovel to the ground. Neither of the goblins notice you, Ash stays alert to things outside.

"We were just heading out, likely to go North or more West."

Hemmings:
You sneak into the Dragon's Draught, you notice that no one is out and about at all. A small fog comes down the stairs, then forms into a humanoid form. A elf in form fitting armor of some kind, small plates that overlap one another. This covers most of his chest, neck, arms, and hands. The gauntlets that it wears end each finger in a claw.

It looks right at you, then continues to scan the room. Red eyes that are emanating from within his helmet. It then quickly floats across the room, "Come out my little darlings, you have one chance to devote yourself to me or run." A shadow of a figure, sprints out with a dagger in hand, she gets close, but then the armored figure grabs the hand holding the dagger and her neck, it is Tali. She wails in pain as the dagger drops to the floor as her wrist is wrested to an odd angle. What do you do?

The women listen to Seg and none of them object to what you say, neither do they say anything in response.

dm:
Vuvu swaps to an acid flask. 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (9) + 6 + 1 = 16 for 1d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 4 + 1 = 11 5 splash. After he throws it. Sick em Ash!

"Damn," Hemmings thinks. "Why do I always get in these situations? I want to save her but is it worth the fight?"

He looks at the elf thing fiercely. "Hey, bub, that girl is a friend o' mine. Do ya mind not handlin' her s'rough? No need to damage the merchandise, get me? If ya need a hostage, why don'tcha take me instead and let the girl go."

He holds up his weapon in an "i surrender" gesture and tries to read the eyes and body language of the adversary.

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7

Vuvu:
Assuming you acid the one on the ground, it writhes in pain from the acid, and Ash goes for it's throat, in a moment the goblin is not wailing any more. The other goblin jumps out the window, fleeing. "Oh good, I had hoped you would come and give me a hand, or at least check on me. That was a good goat, but better it's hide than mine." Says your master who comes out of a little hidey hole, with a few scratches on him.

"I took care of a few of them, but then they just kept coming. Glad to see you Vuvu and Ash." He says with the most emotion you have heard from the old goat man.

Arsil/Tyrel:
You enter into the inn to see Hemmings advance on some sort of metal clad figure, see spoilers above of Hemmings.

Arsil leaves the women to Seg and Tyrel to take care of and heads into the inn. Then Tyrel follows to get equipped.

Hemmings/Arsil/Tyrel:
The figure looks at Hemmings then pulls its left arm back, drawing power into it, then slams it into Tali's chest. As his hand approaches Tali you see a magical scythe blade appear as if growing from his hand, it slams through her, though there is no wound or blood. Tali drops to the floor as he lets go of her throat and practically drops her.

The figure draws up to its full stature of 7 feet, perhaps it is just floating since there is still a fog shrouding its feet. "Who are you and what allegiances do you have?" Will Save DC 22 or panicked, if saved then you are shaken for 1 round.

One of the women seem to have a change of personality or something, she advances past the other women, "Well with such strong and willing individuals to protect us, perhaps we won't need to leave. We will wait here with your company."

DM:
Can you catch him Ash? Vuvu says as he sits ready to boost Ash through the window. Dont follow more than 100 feet.

Whether Ash goes or not he turns to his Master.

I was concerned they might have gotten you, especially when I saw all the blood. Is everything ok now? It appears they were after some gem. We killed many outside. Sorry it took me so long.
