Locke casts create water once more to splash on the fire. He murmurs under his breath.
GM Wolf |
***Round 17***
Seg continues trying to bring water to the fire, with the peasants, Vuvu, and more peasants, now that they know most if not all of the goblin threat has been taken care of.
Ash charges the goblins, barking all the way, the goblins are intimidated by the dog, the two closest cringe and fall to the ground, "Whimper, whimper, whine".
The other two just run off, taking full withdraws, though slowed because of their exhaustion. "Ahhh Dog! Runnnn!"
Locke drops the warhammer, makes a circular motion with his hands before him and water pours out of his hands.

Round 15 and 16
Segregius helps establish a good water chain. He throws some helpful order around and integrates himself into the link. His goal if possible is to have water going to fight 3 different fires. He also keeps a lookout for stray goblins that could attack the villagers and for people trapped in their houses.

Now basically out of combat. Arsil and Tyrel finish off the two cowering goblins, Ash helps out too! He immolates while tearing at their necks.
With Vuvu and Seg's leadership and quick actions the fire brigade is made and the fires are out in minutes.
Locke does a few more spouts of water to help stop the spread of the flames.
All of a sudden you can all hear a monstrously loud voice yell from the confines of the Dragon's Draught, "Kirren!!!"
Everyone if you made some kind of connection to someone in the village or area, you might want to go check on them.
Segregius Balatorius |
Hearing that voice, Seg turns to the inn wondering if that voice belonged to someone human. He also goes to the west side of the inn to take a look.
perception: 1d20 ⇒ 4
When he sees the fleeing women. He rushes towards their group.
Whoa whoa, hold on!. Where are you all going?. We've beaten the goblins back. This place is safe again. If anything, leaving town right now is the most dangerous thing you could do. Whats going on here? Come on ladies, you've got brave men with sharp steel here at your beck and call.
Diplomacy: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (15) + 10 = 25
Arsil Dawnsinger |
Vuvu you don't know the story until you have heard both sides of it, so please don't jump into conclusions nor any death threat just yet they are unarmed woman after all. she replies with a smile.
Tyrel |
"Don't get me wrong master alchemist. I'm not siding with them, I juts want to hear their story then we can all decide on what to do. Whatever it may be, all actions have certain reasons on why people do these things."
GM Wolf |
The group of women have stopped, it takes a few moments of the women looking to each other and seem to be looking for someone. Then one of them leaves the group to speak for them.
It seems that Kirren is no longer with the women. Though some of you did see him just a moment ago.
"We leave with what few personal prossessions we have, for the true owner of the Inn has come calling and Kirren, our boss, has decided it would be best if we left." She says confidently.
Hemmings Halfshanks |
Hemmings eyes the girl speaking warily, but sees nothing in her demeanor that makes him suspicious.
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
"'ave ya seen Tali? I hate ta lose her in this crowd. I wanna ask her somethin'." he says to the girl spokesperson. A thought strikes him - "Who's the real owner, eh?"
Any findings in the loot among goblin corpses? Welcome back!
Arsil Dawnsinger |
if they want to leave that is their right isn't it? after all they are no slave. And tyrel do please remember that you are talking to unarmed frightened womans who just witness an all out assault on the town by a goblin tribe. A little warmth does go a long way won't you agree. And we are not the inn owner that the work agreement would be between them and that person. says arsil still with the same smile.
Tyrel |
"But they are lying, come to think of it. What are their real intentions for leaving? Their village just got attacked by a swarm of goblins and I won't be blaming them for leaving but why lie with that reason? They might be covering up something and they just used the most obvious reason." says Tyrel as he pulls Arsil on the side far enough for the villagers not to hear what he just said.
Segregius Balatorius |
Seg throws a furious look at Vuvu at the mention of thievery. Tyrel rise to their defense before he can come up with a rebutal and he places himself behind the paladin, A silent vote of support.
Sense motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15
As he listens to the working girl he notices her hands briefly clutching at her dress. Her head maybe poised for confidence but her hands give way to her anxiety.
I hear you Tyrel. What has Kirren got to hide?. Is he on the run? Are you stealing from the Dragon's draught.
perception(Looking for Kirren hiding amongst the girls): 1d20 ⇒ 17
Yes, welcome back.
GM Wolf |
"Tali should be in the Inn, though I don't know what attitude the real owner is with her, I don't know his name." She says.
Another of the girls speaks up, "His name is Cornash, one to have said be a mighty wizard, vampire, and elf."
"Would one or more of you be willing to escort us a ways away from the inn?" Another female blurts out, almost ready to cry.
Thanks guys!
One of the girls drops to the ground crying, "Kirren took care of us, and he knew his father would not be happy the way he is running things now." Says the girl who said that Cornash is the real owner of the inn.
Another girl steps up away from the group, looking side to side, seeming to look for someone. She then speaks up, "Kirren was not good to us, he just made you think it that way, he beat many of us and took advantage of our situations, many of us have been sold to him in slavery!"
Perception DC 10 - Kirren is not among the women.
Tyrel |
"What is the reason why you women are afraid? Go ahead, you can tell us so we can at least protect you from whatever it is. Right now, going outside with those goblins still roaming around is dangerous. Let us at least clear them all first and if you still feel that going away is the solution then you can go ahead."
Arsil Dawnsinger |
Sense motive: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
replying to tyrel in a soft voice only he would hear,Tyrel lying because you are scared isn't a crime. What every they want to hide really about the present situation is their choice. But they aren't stealing they are just running away. Running from a bad situation that is for sure. If they don't want our help i won't blame them. after all vuvu just threatened to kill, you and Segregius accused them of stealing. We are all covered in goblin's blood, with weapons in hands. Put yourselves in their shoes.
upon hearing the last girl talk Aerin will focus once again on the girls.
I'll escort you out ladies. Do you have to go now or can it wait for a few minutes.
Tyrel |
Tyrel didn't accuse them of stealing, just lying and he wants to know why lol
"Well that is true, but what is scaring them for them to take their chances with the goblins outside the town?"
GM Wolf |
Vuvu gets to your master's hovel, and you don't hear anything for a few moments, once you get up your courage to open the door, you hear giggling, evil small giggling.

"Kirren told us Cornash would be very upset that his inn was turned into a brothel and that it would be best to leave rather than possibly take his wrath. Kirren said he would protect us, but that must be another lie, for he is no where around us now. Whatever you think is best." Says the women's main spokeswoman.
Hemmings Halfshanks |
While escorting a bunch of escort girls sounds like dream job to Hemmings, he's interested in what happened to his friend Tali. He leaves the others to their business and sneaks back into the Dragon, trying to see what's going on in there without being noticed. He also keeps his ears and eyes open for signs of Tali or Kirren.

Segregius Balatorius |
My apologies ladies, I was wrong in my assumptions. I still believe that leaving the village now would be too dangerous. I do not know this Cornash but rest assured that I would lay down my life before I would let him harm any of you. And if this yellow-bellied Kirren shows up again, we will pass him to court. Such crimes are frowned upon, even in Cheliax. We now need to find shelter for you here in this village, at least until we can clear the goblin invaders.
GM Wolf |
"We were just heading out, likely to go North or more West."
It looks right at you, then continues to scan the room. Red eyes that are emanating from within his helmet. It then quickly floats across the room, "Come out my little darlings, you have one chance to devote yourself to me or run." A shadow of a figure, sprints out with a dagger in hand, she gets close, but then the armored figure grabs the hand holding the dagger and her neck, it is Tali. She wails in pain as the dagger drops to the floor as her wrist is wrested to an odd angle. What do you do?
The women listen to Seg and none of them object to what you say, neither do they say anything in response.
Tyrel |
"What do you think? I mean I am not doubting Arsil's skills but escorting a bunch of civilians against a mob of goblins will still prove to be quite a handful. I'll accompany you Arsil, wait up. I will go and grab my gear."
With that being said, Tyrel will go in his room and equip all his gear.
Segregius Balatorius |
If you would prefer to leave, we will escort you to the nearest safe haven as soon as we have the venture Captain`s permission. You do not need to make a decision now, nor do you all have to make the same choice.
Hemmings Halfshanks |
He looks at the elf thing fiercely. "Hey, bub, that girl is a friend o' mine. Do ya mind not handlin' her s'rough? No need to damage the merchandise, get me? If ya need a hostage, why don'tcha take me instead and let the girl go."
He holds up his weapon in an "i surrender" gesture and tries to read the eyes and body language of the adversary.

"I took care of a few of them, but then they just kept coming. Glad to see you Vuvu and Ash." He says with the most emotion you have heard from the old goat man.
Arsil leaves the women to Seg and Tyrel to take care of and heads into the inn. Then Tyrel follows to get equipped.
The figure draws up to its full stature of 7 feet, perhaps it is just floating since there is still a fog shrouding its feet. "Who are you and what allegiances do you have?" Will Save DC 22 or panicked, if saved then you are shaken for 1 round.
One of the women seem to have a change of personality or something, she advances past the other women, "Well with such strong and willing individuals to protect us, perhaps we won't need to leave. We will wait here with your company."
Vuvu |
Whether Ash goes or not he turns to his Master.
I was concerned they might have gotten you, especially when I saw all the blood. Is everything ok now? It appears they were after some gem. We killed many outside. Sorry it took me so long.
Arsil Dawnsinger |
Arsil will yell from the top of her lungs Ennemi inside the inn. Everyone Fight !
Tyrel engage him on his left side, i will take the right
Arsil will then move to engage the red eye elf figure
