Tyrel
"I am Tyrel, pleased to meet you. I hope that the skills I can offer will be of any use, if there's anything you need that I can help, don't hesitate to ask." says Tyrel as he goes back to eating his food.
Segregius Balatorius
Segregius eats with impeccable manners, he never takes the wrong fork, interupt another's conversation or reach for anything using his left hand. His breeding shows. He also has the appetite of an athlete, easily putting away three full plates, along with 2 appetizers. At the demand of Lt Drake, he rises for his introduction, wine glass in hand.
I am Segregius Balatorius. I am a warrior, a rider and a tactician. And, with the guidance of Aroden, will make this groups work like a well oiled machine. He finishes his glass and sits back down.
He looks towards Vuvu for a moment, looking pensive, and then at Hemmings with an interested expression.
I will have to ask Sypher more about my companions. Especially the surly healer.
Vuvu
I think I work just fine Mr. Balatorious. Happy to fight with you if there is evil about and heal your wounds, but I do not need my methods changed. Vuvu grumps
Vuvu mutters from behind his book again.
the joys of playing CHA 5! He is just misunderstood really!
Hemmings Halfshanks
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (12) + 4 = 16
an int of 7 and a cha of 7
This may be my RL boss, just sayin'
Hemmings doesn't have the fancy manners of the cavalier, but he stands up on his chair and says:
"I am Hemmings some call me Halfshanks, though I'm not at all sure why..." he shakes his stubby legs around for emphasis.
"Basically, I'm yer odd job man. May not be much of a fighter an' I ain't gonna outsmart no one, but if you need sumthin' delicate done -- a lock opened, or a purse took, well then, I'm your fella."
"Oh, an' you'll have to 'xuse my frien' Vuvu, he's a good fella to have 'roun' in a pickle, but he ain't the best socializer in the world. My advice, let him come to you, it'll work out better for all o' ya. Glad to have you, Sir Balatorius and you Miss Arsil (he bows low from his chair perch), hope you stick aroun'd for a bit. Now let's talk abou' the mission, eh?"
Hemmings takes his seat and tucks into another dessert with a flourish.
Hemmings Halfshanks
Hemmings grins at the surly alchemist. "An' I think tha' speaks for itself," the halfling says through a mouthful of pie.
He cracks himself up but gives poor Vuvu a friendly pat on the back to show he's not really laughing at him...
Segregius Balatorius
I am sure i meant nothing about your methods Vuvu. After all, I am the newcomer here. I will need to adapt to your style more then you'll have to mine. Now, about this goblin tribe, if we are to be interupting their scouting we will need a good tracker ourselves I imagine. Do we know such a person? Is anyone here capable in this aspect?
Sense motive: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (11) + 8 = 19
Oh i got that, its a very well played 5 by the way.
GM Wolf
Drake speaks up, "You won't need to track them down, they are loud and moving slowly with their entire tribe. They should be at the gibbet by now or even closer, Locke, Vuvu, and Hemmings knows of the loacation."
Everyone hears a different commotion going on in the main hall. A moment later Tali bursts through the door. "To arms, the goblins are upon the town, to arms!"
Tell me what your character does or says. Please label your posts with rounds in mind...
Example:
***Round 1***
I get up and move close to the door.
Arsil Dawnsinger
My dress dammit, i am not equipped for this says arsil getting up before bolting through the door
Round 1
get up + move 30ft. DM arsil need to go to her room in order to pick up her weapon. so please tell me how long you think it will take
Segregius Balatorius
round 1
Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 = 21
Arsil! If you are going to the rooms, bring back my shield if you have the time. Dont bother if it puts you in danger.
Getting up, he sends the chair he was sitting on flying to the wall. He draws his sword and, walking towards the front of the inn, starts reciting and old prayer of Aroden.
Aroden who was once but man, guide me on this day. For like you today i struggle against the bonds of tyranny and those who would seek to harm and oppress my brothers and sisters. Yield onto me the strength of our ancestors who freed us from servility. To arms! To arms!
depending on what kind of action standing from the chair is, I either walk 30 feet while using my calling ability(standard action) to gain +1 to hit on my next attack. Or I get up and walk 30 feet.
AC 18 without the shield but +6 dam with the sword, using two hands on it.
Vuvu
And that is why I keep my things with me...I wish the halfling had gotten me my pouch so I could carry all my acid... Vuvu mutters to himself.
Halfshanks! If you had hurried up and gotten me my pouch I could handle these things myself! Vuvu shouts over to Hemmings.
Then to Ash Stay near me boy. I don't want you running off and getting hurt.
Locke Vernariah
Locke follows Arsil upstairs to find his own weapons.
Tyrel
"Arsil please get my armor and weapons too, let me block this door first!"
----------
Round 1
----------
I'm assuming that Vuvu closes the door?
"Watch out alchemist!"
As Tyrel blocks the closed door with a table, he will also kick one of the legs and will use it as a club for the meantime while waiting for his weapons.
Segregius Balatorius
Vuvu, you and me must engage the goblins and stand fast against them while the others get ready to reinforce us. Are there any hidden ways out of this building? If there is one, another group needs to come out and flank them. We must cut off their retreat for when we rout them and destroy this menace root and stem.
Tyrel
"I see, well we don't have time to wait for Arsil, here,"
Tyrel takes off one leg off the table,
Survival: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 to fashion the leg as a club
If there is a window, then Tyrel will go out that way and try to flank the goblins with Seg and Vuvu, if not then Tyrel will charge outside together with them.
Hemmings Halfshanks
Hemmings is curious why the Venture Lt and the bard are not more worried about the goblin horde.
He leans close to hear their words if possible.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27
If he doesn';t hear anything of consequence, he will draw his rapier and follow the cavalier to the melee.
Segregius Balatorius
Well lucky for me and how much Chelaxians typically like to ornate their armors and wear them as a mark of social rank (or something like that), i have my breastplate and sword. I probably would have a dagger/utility knife but it wouldnt be battle worthy. There are probably more knives on the table but I dont know for sure. What you have is what you think your character would have worn to attend a formal pathfinder meeting/ dinner, I would think. Thats what my interpretation of the situation is
GM Wolf
Well if you think of it, what would you bring to a dinner party.
You had lamb so you would have steak knives. 1d3 for medium size. Though on the lamb that was brought for Tyrel would have a regular dagger.
Hemmings you have the Emerald still on you right?
GM Wolf
Tyrel is in the main room, trying to find a weapon, Vuvu offers him a dagger and he joins the other two at the front door.
Vuvu and Seg go straight to the front door. The doors are open though two floating suits of armor stand at arms on the front steps the front of the armor and weapons point out, away from the inn.
Arsil and Locke are running upstairs to find their weapons in the least.

It works for me, after all Seg is a Chelish noble. Sorry Arsil it is going to take you and Locke until round 8 to get into the fight. Meaning at the end of round 7 you get to the front door with your weapon. Is there anything else you are grabbing?
The town is between the Dragon's Draught and the river, so mostly at the entrance of the inn and to its East.
Most of those in the inn have run up to the second floor, except those specifically mentioned in the campaign info. Kirren is not seen but the rest are busy securing doors, collecting weapons, or throwing on armor.
You guys are up!
GM Wolf
Sorry guys, I am much more organized now.
4 goblins are ramming down a door with a large tree branch. *8
2 goblins use a helmeted goblin to knock down another door. *11
A goblin leaps from a roof to land in a water barrel.
One goblin chases a frog, trying to bite it when it jumps.
Two goblins are starting fires.
Two goblins are munching down a garden, well maybe they are just tearing it up.
From the North East a goblin arrives holding a small longbow, it rides on a pink hairless rat dog. Eight more goblins with rickety armor and weapons follow it.
Arsil Dawnsinger
nope the more time i will take to grab stuff the more the goblin will go on rampage (i will take my wand of CLW also and tuck it safely behind my back under the cloak i will put on. On the way down the stairs Arsil will have casted a Shield spell
Tyrel
"This is chaos everywhere, but which ones do we tend to first?"
Should we stop the goblins that are starting a fire first? I will delay my actions until I know where Seg will go.
Vuvu
Rd 2 Vuvu
Nuvu double moves to get into firing position
RD 3
bomb vs touch 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 6 + 1 = 17 for 2d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (5, 5) + 4 + 1 = 15 second goblin on the side there takes 6 or 3 if he makes a ref 16
You will not harm these people!
[ooc] where did Ash go? is he with me or did he take off
Hemmings Halfshanks
I believe I had Hemmings with leathers on and weapons belted.
Round 3
Rapier in hand, Hemmings heads out the front door and pauses to take in the chaotic scene. "Great, just great. Hope there's some gems on them buggers."
Seeing the distance between him and the goblins is still great, and with the fighter types in front, Hemmings replaces his rapier, and readies his MW shortbow.
I think this is round 3...1st round to talk to guys, 2nd round to exit, 3rd round above...if not LMK
Tyrel
Round 3
"Time to stop these little buggers!"
Tyrel charges in the goblin trying to start the fire,
Charge!: 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (11) + 7 + 2 = 20
Damage: 1d4 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
I believe none of the squares that are passed by Tyrel will hinder his movements, charge makes his AC -2 for the next round.
GM Wolf
Round 3
Tyrel charges forth with a dagger in hand. He slashes at the little bugger and get a long red line form on its chest.
Hemmings puts away his rapier and pulls out his shortbow.
Vuvu throws his bomb and the goblin wilts under the damage, the other one is on fire screaming.
***Round 4***
21 Ash*
21 Segregius Balatorius
20 Goblin Leader*
17 Goblins*
18 Locke*
11 Tyrel
8 Hemmings
8 Arsil*
4 Vuvu
Feel free to catch up when you can.
Ash is near Vuvu still, attacking the goblins in the garden.
1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20 bite attack, 1d8 + 3 + 1d6 ⇒ (8) + 3 + (5) = 16 bite damage with fire. Both goblins in the garden are dead, the garden is also destroyed, the fire is not going to spread.
The goblin with the torch that got attacked by Tyrel has his entire attention. 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (15) + 2 = 17 torch attack, 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 damage. "Ahhhh, no, burn, burn, burn!!!" it yells as it hits Tyrel with the torch.
The goblin chasing the frog sees his friend in trouble and charges with a dogslicer out. 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (9) + 4 = 13 dogslicer attack, 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5 damage.
The other goblins continue to try to smash down doors.
Vuvu
Beasts! Vuvu growls as he sees the garden destroyed.
He pulls a small vial out of his belt ouch and shakes it before launching it.
If Tyrel drops a goblin in front of him, Vuvu will target the Goblin to the South, if he does not he will target the lesser wounded goblin fighting Tyrel.
If he targets Tyrel's goblin Cover your face Paladin!
bomb vs touch 1d20 + 6 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 6 + 1 = 19 for 2d6 + 4 + 1 ⇒ (6, 4) + 4 + 1 = 15 Ref 16 for 6 or 3 to the other goblin and Tyrel
Segregius Balatorius
Round 3
Segregius follows Tyrel into the fray. His heavy armor slows him down considerably, he manages to get somewhat into position without being able to attack
Round 4
Seg, makes a lunge at the goblin and moves around him to pincer it between Tyrel and him. He swings his sword all force and no finesse trying to make 2 goblins out of one.
Power attack with Calling: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (19) + 10 = 29
critical confirm: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (6) + 10 = 16
damage: 2d8 + 18 ⇒ (2, 1) + 18 = 21
He makes it a foot shorter.
Vuvu i got this. Bomb the cluster of 4 over there. Draw them out back here. Hemmings, hide behind the platform and make their life a misery. Tyrel, are you ok?
In answer to Arsil, i have no doubt that the meal was uncomforable to Seg, Chelaxians do it on point of pride more then anything else. I wonder if I will have to make fortitude saves with all this action so soon after a big meal. I wouldnt be surprised if I end up puking my guts up from the exertion, armor restraining stomach from expanding etc.
