GM Angel |
Ok guys, back home and resting. Still have an oral term of medication to work through.
I will try and get back up to speed over the weekend, but probably won't post much while trying to rest after being in the hospital for a couple more days.
Harsk Ironback |
No seriously. The PBP is all. No kids. No work...only...the post!
[bold]The post![/bold]
Good luck on the transition to child wrangler! I spend some time in that capacity while my wife is away and its..."dynamic" and "varied". Kids...so lucky they are so cute otherwise why keep them around...:p :p
GM Angel |
Ok guys, just a little bit of an update. Back home, relaxing at the house. Medicine is making me a bit unsteady still. Up to posting in short bursts, but my mental state is pretty shot.
Will keep with you guys as I can. Hopefully will be focused on posting in a day or two.
GM Angel |
Ok guys, at work today, getting a checkup at the clinic in a little bit. The oral med aftercourse is still kicking my butt, but going to attempt to be more visible this week.

That's better. Now I don't have to worry about ooc formatting. : )
Presuming the hex containing Oleg's counts as explored already, to explore the next hex would take 8 hours to travel to, which would put us well past sundown by the time we got there. Then it would take a minimum of 2 days to explore. During that time I expect the bandits would be back in force to sack Oleg's and put our only friends in the area to the sword. So either we need to find out where the bandit camp is and go straight there, or I reckon we need to turtle up and wait for more bandits.
What does everyone else think?

I hope everyone is feeling better. : )
GM Angel |
So far as the Hex of Oleg's, yes, you guys get that one free. Trying right now to find a hex map that I like. I would suggest talking about next step as a group, and if you want to set out today, its perfectly up to you.
Leandric Garess |
Leandric would not mind either way but if we go now he'll need a few minutes to prepare.
As far as tracking goes I'm afraid there is little he can offer. Maybe later if I get him a familiar with scent.
GM Angel |
Sorry that I am being a bit spaced out guys. Right now my day to day is a bit rocky, and I am trying to get back into a normal routine. I spend a lot more time tired and sleeping than I would like to, and often times just do not want to get up and do anything.
The antibiotics that I have been taking up until yesterday also have been knocking my butt for a loop. Enough so that its questionable whether it is safe enough for me to drive around.
I've not forgotten anyone or anything, but right now there are more times than not where I will look at a thread or a post, and just have nothing to say and close the window. I am going to try and keep going with things at the best pace I can, and hopefully I can work back up into a steady pace again.
Thanks for your thoughts and everything. Spending a week in quarantine at the hospital was no fun.
Anton Marakov |
Just giving this a bump so nobody forgets about it. How is everyone? I'm about to go housesitting for three weeks, but if anything, I'll be posting more during that time. >.>
GM Angel |
lol no worries there. For some reason, my brain is so addled that I didn't see this in my list with all the other stuff, glad that you bumped it up.
I do have the results in my head for everyone's survival checks. Let me knock out some cobwebs, and i'll put something up in a little bit. Maybe we can get this sucker going.
Anton Marakov |
My intention wasn't to hurry you along. I know it's been a hard time for you. Though knowing you'd overlooked this, I'm glad I bumped it. :P
I hope you're feeling better, mate. =)
Cander Vitritch |
So all are ready to engage in open-worldedness? Awesome! Feel free to take your time, Angel, as I know world maps can be difficult to set up in these situations without revealing too much.
Anton Marakov |
Hey all, just letting you know I won't be posting much for the next couple of days. Tomorrow I'm running back-to-back PFS slots at a local convention, and the day after is my birthday, so I'll have family stuff going on. Try not to move too far without me!
GM Angel |
Fair warning to you all. Some of you in other games I am in are aware of this, but for those that are not, I just want to bring you up to speed on some things.
First, my own health is getting better. All of my open wounds on my leg have seemed to close up, and I am now working with compression hose, which is a pain in my leg.
That right now is overshadowed majorly by a very sudden and unexpected death in one of my D&D communities. A good friend of mine, we shall call him Capn T-Rex, passed away this last weekend of sudden kidney failure. He was 49 years old, and it was a very sudden and very cold shock to the D&D community we were in, as well as his family and friends. Many of us right now are taking it very hard, and I have been bouncing up and down from fine to breaking down at work in tears.
I only knew him from D&D and DDO online, but I knew him for about six years, and he was a great influence on my play style and my RP stylings. I can't look at any of my paizo games, or at any of my PFS games without hearing his voice, or seeing him or his character right now.
I am not avoiding the games, nor am I avoiding you guys. I'm having a hard time even looking at the screen to type this. Rex was a well loved and well respected man, and damn good rogue, and starship captain. (was a member of a star trek fleet up in Salt Lake City where he lived)
I'm not going to let life drag me down, or this game, by God, but right now sometimes, I might just look and disappear for a while, because it hurts at times to look at anything.
Anton Marakov |
I know what it's like to deal with grief and loss. I also know what it's like to go through periods where all you can do is look and disappear, though mine have been for different reasons. I'm glad you're not giving up on us, and I understand if the pace slows to a trickle while you get your head and heart in order. I'm too fond of my wheezing wizard to let this game go, so as long as it's going, no matter how slow, I'll be here. And to hear your own health is improving is a small silver lining. You look after yourself first and foremost, Angel. And if you ever need someone to just talk at, and get everything off your chest in a wave of "ohmygodimsooverthiseverythingisawfulandijusturgh", shoot me a message.
I can only speak for myself, and not for everyone, but we seem to be a pretty compassionate and understanding bunch. We'll be fine.
GM Angel |
Thanks guys, i'm going to try and keep the game going, but probably will be slow going right now.
cynarion |
Hey folks, from tomorrow I am off on a family holiday for a week, so my availability is going to be pretty patchy. I'll have some internet access while I'm gone, but will probably be busy sightseeing and such so my posting will be erratic, if I can post at all.
I will let you know when I am back. Have fun, and don't conquer the entire Greenbelt without me. : )

Anton Marakov |
Oooh, the Gold Coast! I haven't been there since I was 12. I hope your girls have as great a time as I did! How old are they? And are you driving or flying? (If you're driving, I pity you.)
Anton Marakov |
I'm not going anywhere; I like my wheezing wizard! And yeah, I'm also guilty of nudging. Sometimes too frequently. >.>
But I'm pretty sure we're waiting on Angel to move us on, and since Angel's had a lot of s&*# going on, we might be waiting a bit longer. Life gets in the way and all.
