The holy damage is part of that 3d6 on the end. I don't think he's including good hope.

The undead monstrosity flinches as the holy blade slices through the armor guarding her arm, cutting apart mummified flesh and brittle bone. But it seems resistant to the strike—the worms can be seen within gathering around the area, actually holding the arm together. She hisses. "Hver stal hámarki? Hver drap dauða okkar?"

Ancient Flan:
"Who stole the peak? Who slew our death?"
These are less questions and more mantras.

The beetles have five-foot reach. By the way, that "resistance" is flavor for DR, not regeneration or fast healing.

The beetles crawl out of the opening and skitter down the stairs, still clicking in that strangely synchronized rhythm. The incessant chatter has a strangely hypnotic effect—the more they hear it, the more the heroes want nothing more than to get it out of their heads, to clutch at their skulls, anything to be rid of the maddening noise.

Each round, on the beetles' turns, you must make a Will save versus a sonic, mind-affecting effect.

After Rolling:
If you rolled less than 23, you can do nothing on your next turn and are overcome with the need to think of anything, anything but the unending chitter.

The beetles rush around the party. The one on the party's right seems to willingly accept the reactive attacks from Cuetzpalli, but the one on the left actually seems entirely unaware of Farrukh's presence. It seems that whatever allows Nezzarin to 'see' Farrukh, it at least does not extend to the knight's allies.

Cuetzpalli gets an AoO.

The beetle to the east snaps at Eben, its mandibles lunging for the bard's midsection. Eben dodges out of the way on the eighth step. The beetle to the west targets Cuetzpalli, however, and he does take an agonizing bite to his leg. The mandibles sink into it, and he feels negative energy flow through into his flesh for just a moment, corrupting his very blood with necrotic energy. But at least it temporarily quiets the chittering.

Ugh, I just wrote the opposite of what I meant because I was multitasking. One save. Each beetle increases the DC, but you still only need to make one. They're like shocker lizards!

Cuetzpalli hacks into the beetle, severing two of its back legs. Worms and something like black wet sand drip out from the grievous wounds.

Farrukh finds his silver blades cut through the undead beetle with ease, his axiomatic blade cleaving through the carapace of the creature of entropy. It catches on to him by the second swing, however, and is able to bat away his klar both times.

Just before Cuetzpalli is overcome by the chittering, he looks at Tanith over his shoulder, and points to the beetle he hit. "BRO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! he roars before doubling over and clapping his hands to his ears.

With the giant worm-eaten beetle bearing down on him, Tanith speaks a brief fervent prayer turning his skin to iron. Then, seeing his reborn brother-in-Kord reeling from the beetles' chattering, the big man mutters another, longer, prayer to the Brawler and touches the bloodrager's shoulder. "Fight through it Cuetzpalli! You didn't return from Ysgard to spend your time clutching your ears. Smash those rotting undead!"

Fervored Ironskin. Cuetzpalli can roll another save. Feel free to burn an AP too.

She leaps to the side and lunges at Farrukh with her sword. As she does so, the bloated Kyuss worms in her eye sockets lunge out, gnashing at Farrukh's face!

Eben casts another spell through his rod, seeking to avoid the beetle's bite in the process.

As he splits off 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5 extra images, he drops the rod and holds out a hand in the air. Between one breath and the next, his bow appears in his hand. "Do your thing, buddy..." he says, as Forzamele's opalescent glow suddenly grows to encompass the entire longbow.

Using Forzamele's leaping ability to call it to hand as a free action, and Forzamele casts weapon of awe on the longbow.

Then, heedless of his proximity to the beetle's jaws, he opens fire.

The musical sound of Forzamele firing arrows (sounding for all the world like a cross between a harp and glass harmonica) somehow provides an even stronger backdrop for Eben's words.

Continuing dirge of doom & dance of 23 steps. And really, you're using Icelandic for an ancient language of death and maddness? That's... okay, this is a land where people eat hákarl, I guess it kinda fits.

Casting mirror image as a swift action, calling Forzamele as a free action, full attack on the beetle. Forzamele activates its ability as its own standard action. Continuing Dirge of Doom & Dance of 23 Steps as free actions.

Mirror image lasts 90 rounds, weapon of awe lasts 70 rounds, cat's grace lasts 89 rounds, good hope lasts 89 rounds, weaponwand lasts 79 rounds.

AC is 30/23/22 while prayer, cat's grace, shield of faith and dance of 23 steps are active. Mirror image has 5 images remaining.

Cuetzpalli executes three brutal slices. On the last, just as Nezzarin is starting to regain her footing, he brings his enchanted greatsword back and neatly hacks her whole body clean in two at the waist.

Whoops. Forgot good hope on my rolls. Don't think it affects the missed crit or iterative, but should add +4 to the manyshot and +2 to my rapid shot damage.

Isn't that what you went with when you were speaking it earlier? I know Gark was griping because you weren't using Armenian.

The Flan people weren't anything to do with death and madness, though. They were actually a really important influence. Just...some of them came over here and were jerks.

You can five-foot step down or across, just not up.

Eben lands two shots, but he finds that only the first does any real damage.

The beetle skitters forward, mandibles still clicking, and attacks Tanith. It lunges with sudden speed, mandibles sinking into Tanith's shoulder. He feels the negative energy suffuse him as it does so.

Farrukh slashes brutally into the huge beetle, pulverizing whatever it has that passes for a skull. Its smushed body is then lifted up by a blast of air from the sword of Aaqa, and goes flying over the edge of the ziggurat. It smacks off of each ledge in turn before finally hitting the ground with a KRUMPSH.

It occurs to me that we never bought new healing wands. =/

Tanith channels a bit of divinity into his shoulder wound and then concentrates on the iron bands wrapped around his bicep.

Fervor for 3d6 ⇒ (6, 6, 4) = 16 and then using both meditation crystals to refill my fervors. Using a Pearl 1 to recall resurgence.

The massive chamber within is dark and appears to be empty, aside from a moldy pile of rubble that might once have been a table and four lanterns on the walls at about waist-level (there is one lantern for each corner). The lanterns are unlit.
