As it becomes clear the life has been snuffed from the late lord tears well-up in Quee's eyes.

He goes to he knees before the corpse and weeps. "Whoever you were, sir, I'm sure you did not deserve such an unkind fate. It's ... HORRIBLE what happened to you!" he sobs. "Surely someone will see your memory preserved, were that I had known you to help."

Upon the captain entering, Quee dashes to him, a wreak. "Captain, something terrible has happened - there is a man ... DEAD." Upon the captain's pronouncement of the victim's name, Quee recalls his standing. "That's him? Oh my, this must be no accident ... someone planned this. Are we next? Will we all be strangled by vines too?!" Quee looks around in a panic, having no idea what to do.

"I doubt it." The silverhelm replies, after looking around the tavern. "You don't really seem like an appropriate target for the Verdigris Resistance. I do have to ask you to leave the establishment for the time being. If our investigation is successful, the Amethyst Chalice will be open for business again tomorrow."

Well then captain then it is off to bed.

To the paty:

we meet here tomorrow in the morning if everyone is ready?
William folowwed by james wil retire for the night at the inn he is staying

Male Elf Cavalier (2) Summoner (1)

Toucan offers Quee a drink then asks the Captian

was the target random? Or was this intentional, what do you think?

M Half-elf: AC 15/11/14 / HP 21 / F +2 R +2 W +3 (+2 vs. Enchants) / Init. +1 / Perc. +2/ S. Motive +0 Story Summoner / 3

The captain's reassurances did little to assuage Quee's concerns

William Kazzar wrote:
Well then captain then it is off to bed.

"BED!?" He wipes away some tears. "A man is dead, the killer loose gods know where, and you want to sleep?" He looks around but sees his ideas have little traction. A deep sign takes him, and he shudders. "Very well. I suppose a knife will find us in the back sooner or later. There's no time like the present..."

Quee waves away Torcan's offer and walks out the entrance, looking around the street for any potential assassins.

"If this is a member of the Verdigris Resistance, the target was intentional. And..." The silverhelm raises his voice to be heard by Quee. "Likely would be long gone by now. We have some contacts throughout the city, we will find who is responsible. As I said, get some rest; tomorrow our investigation will have revealed more answers. The tavern is closed, friends."

RETIRED Spitespawn Tiefling Antipaladin (Lord of Darkness) 3

"eh, well, not really my kind of tavern anyway."

Halfling Hp 26/26 AC 22 (+5 Perc; +0 Init; Fort +3, Ref +0, Will +3)

William will retire for the night.

The Fiery Citrine is a tall tower with a glittering golden sparkle aflame at its highest point. Like most of the buildings in Trevailaura, the elven inn is a towering spire, built much higher than the buildings in other realms. Inside the tower a spiral staircase leads up around the inner chambers. A common room with a blazing fireplace has a few tables, cots, and simple storage chests, at a rate of 5 silver a night. Private rooms are available up the stairs, ranging from 1 gp to 20 gp a night.

Its proprietor Caleil Zaleil, is a lovely female elf, with a 27 year old son, recently widowed during Lin~Sharel's blissfully short military engagement with Mirgilaura.

Halfling Hp 26/26 AC 22 (+5 Perc; +0 Init; Fort +3, Ref +0, Will +3)

William will be staying in a 2gp room along with james (who will be sleeping "light".

M Half-elf: AC 15/11/14 / HP 21 / F +2 R +2 W +3 (+2 vs. Enchants) / Init. +1 / Perc. +2/ S. Motive +0 Story Summoner / 3

If the rest of the party follows suit, Quee will go after them, entering the Citrine's common room and mope there.

Fort check: 1d20 ⇒ 10

And barely not falling asleep at one of the tables, he'll purchase a room in the wee hours of the morning.

Lyraesel joins the others, taking a room at the Fiery Citrine as well. She only partially manages to conceal her disdain for Quee's histrionics and bids the others good night as she ajduourns to her room to consider the day's events and get some rest.

RETIRED Spitespawn Tiefling Antipaladin (Lord of Darkness) 3

Sanar gets a private room and avoids Quee and his outbursts.

Male Elf Cavalier (2) Summoner (1)

Torcan will converse with Star after buying a 2 Gp room and dinner for another 1gp.
,I've been gone for a long time, I'll need to split for a day or so and get some information.

Good night Star.

he will politely ask if each person is ready to depart this very morning

Halfling Hp 26/26 AC 22 (+5 Perc; +0 Init; Fort +3, Ref +0, Will +3)

anybody want a drink before we head off?

Not in the morning like that, but thank you torcan.

Traveling by horse, the journey to Mirgilaura is 20 days. You can even stop by Amgilaura and Erisorgould on the way if you like to pick up supplies.

The three moons are in no special arrangement this morning, though you can feel their magic is slightly active. Not enough to really influence any spells, however.

yes DM we will make these stops along the way in order to resupply

Indifferent Half-Elf Oracle of Bones 3

During the journey, Ellis will be carving little trinkets out of whatever animal bones can be found along the way: small necklaces and totems and the like.

Quee seems sullen the next morning, not nearly as conversive as he was previously. Meekly following the directional suggestions of the others, he seems a different person.

Good morning Quee, we are almost getting ready to leave is your mount ready?

Lyraesel awakens and heads outside, missing her ancient forest, she nevertheless enjoys the open air. Taking time to tend to her horse, she speaks to the animal quietly as she brushes him.

A s the others gather she joins them, noting the strange wizard's sullen nature.

RETIRED Spitespawn Tiefling Antipaladin (Lord of Darkness) 3

Sanar is slightly amused at the sullen wizard. "There will be more death than that on our path, that I am sure of. There always is."

Indifferent Half-Elf Oracle of Bones 3

Ellis, in his own way, attempts to comfort Quee:

"Truly, it's the only thing we can be sure to encounter. It is natural, and need not be feared. This man has returned to the halls of his fathers."

M Half-elf: AC 15/11/14 / HP 21 / F +2 R +2 W +3 (+2 vs. Enchants) / Init. +1 / Perc. +2/ S. Motive +0 Story Summoner / 3

"No need to remind me of it. I know what I saw." More dour than before, Quee shrugs-off the conciliatory comments and looks down at the halfling. "Yes, a horse. I never fared well with those from the stables, so I bring my own." Quee takes a book out of the back at his side, large, bulky, and ornate. Flipping it open a few pages, he speaks a few unintelligible words, sweeps his hand out, up, and down with a snap of his fingers. Before him, a chestnut stallion materializes out of thin air with a whinney, equipped to ride. He hoists himself up on the horse and looks to the group. "Ready when you are."

Halfling Hp 26/26 AC 22 (+5 Perc; +0 Init; Fort +3, Ref +0, Will +3)

All right get your mount then, we meet here in 30 minutes for departure.

Assuming that no one wants to make any other changes or purchases, you all set out, along the river road (Sorry I didn't put roads on the map, but there are a few well-kept ones) and reach the city of Amgilaura in 10 - 1d2 ⇒ 10 - (2) = 8 days.

Since this is a relatively peaceful part of Lin~Sharel, there were no hostile encounters, and few if any other than merchant caravans and grove workers traveling to the well-kept forests north of the river.

Halfling Hp 26/26 AC 22 (+5 Perc; +0 Init; Fort +3, Ref +0, Will +3)

As you set out to ride William meets you all, mounted on James. He is wearing a chain shirt and holding a lance in the upright position, a white ribbon is tied to it near the tip, and a longsword is hanging from his hip.

The view is rather comical as both weapons are rather small compared to yours, actually they are no bigger to a normal sized scimitar.

The way he is trying to handle himself reminds you of the days when you tried this for fun playing alongside your friends: "Knights of the Round Table". Except you all got bigger and aren't using toy size items anymore.

James has no problem carrying the halfling and is even wearing some sort of light chain protection, along with pack saddlebags.

Indifferent Half-Elf Oracle of Bones 3

Ellis trots along somewhat uncomfortably. While he has ridden horses before, it has certainly been a long time, and animals have generally kept their distance since the graveyard incident.

Ellis finds that his elven steed is exceptionally well trained (mage-trained, apparently).

The walls of Amgilaura look similar to the walls of Trevailaura, the Lin~Sharel style of architecture must apply to many of the cities of the nation. Most of them completely designed from the ground up.

At the center of Amgilaura is the Tower Amgil~Sharel, home to the Regent Corallinae Amgil. Even though Amgilaura is only a week away from the capital, the Regent is rarely within her home city, and allows her consort to rule in her stead.

Amgilaura is known for its wine merchants, and contains several mead distilleries as well. The banners of Lin~Sharel (all white this time), hang over the city's gates.

Halfling Hp 26/26 AC 22 (+5 Perc; +0 Init; Fort +3, Ref +0, Will +3)

We stop there for the Night, resupply with food. and i ask around for the latest news about everything. Trade, politics, about the road toward our next destination etc...

Ellis would casually look around to see if he can find an area or place where he could sell his bone trinkets (not terribly likely in a big, wealthy city, but it's his only regular source of income).

M Half-elf: AC 15/11/14 / HP 21 / F +2 R +2 W +3 (+2 vs. Enchants) / Init. +1 / Perc. +2/ S. Motive +0 Story Summoner / 3

His depressed disposition dissipating during their direction, Quee perks up a bit more at the sight of the city. "Perhaps we could sample some of their drinks? They're supposed to be famous!"

Thank you everyone, for your patience. Was at work most of the day today again. I'll get an update up here shortly.

William or Knowledge (Local) or Gather Information DC 14:

The consort is quite apt at ruling the town's traders, being originally a wine trader himself. Politically, however, the town is in some chaos. The Verdigris Resistance has been active in the groves to the north, bringing some of the vines to life to frighten away workers. Some vineyards have been burned down as a result, leaving the town's residents in a chaotic state. The regent is doing what he can to calm the town's folk down, but a unit of Silverhelms has been called to help keep things quiet. The road towards Anglamiraura is in excellent condition, and the last anyone heard from the Citadel Eresorgould, the units stationed there were healthy and had nothing unusual to report. The Unit of Silverhelms stationed in Amgilaura (The Shining Stars) trained and were originally stationed in the Citadel Eresorgould.

Many of the people in the town are excited about the Silver Harpists (a famous musical group from Trevailaura) coming to perform tonight at Amgil~sharel. Most everyone important has been invited to attend the performance, and even the common folk intend to set up seats in the gardens outside the towering mansion's performance hall.

"I'll definitely be there! As I craft with silver in my shop, I'm quite interested to see a set of gilded harps!"

Ellis, your bone trinkets might be worth a silver or two, or you could craft the rest of the day and see if you can improve the value of them.

Indifferent Half-Elf Oracle of Bones 3

Having nothing else to do (no particular interest in fine music, which is a subject he knows nothing about), Ellis will craft for the rest of the day.

Preferably near a tavern.
