Could you try and format your rolls with the [dice=What I am rolling for] method so i know if it is a Perception or Intuition check, I'm sure that you would want to use Perception first, but anyone can use both skills untrained and the results of one can affect the roll of the other, if you wanted to use both, so just help me out a bit

Turn 38 (2 of 6)
The Goblin-Snakes are 70’ from Teirist. You should all roll initiative as soon as Teirist raises the alarm. I will update the map tonight, but before then we’ll do the best we can to “imagine” the first couple of rounds
Gob Snake Initiative: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 2 = 16
Teirist |
"Enough is enough! I have had it with these snakes in this place. Oh and by the way, there are two large goblin headed, don't ask, snakes headed this way.
Teirest points down the hallway, then readies his hand crossbow.
Readied action for when the snakes get in range
Tierest the Awesome Intiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6
Berenwyr |
initiative: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
Goblin snakes? Do they have coin? Coin snakes! Kill 'em!
Berenwyr sends his dancing lights racing down the corridor to illuminate the foul creatures, then tracks their movements with the magical torches. He waits for them to move within 60' then sends an arrow winging towards them.
shortbow attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (20) + 3 = 23
confirm crit: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (15) + 3 = 18
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 1
crit damage: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9
Victor Hancock |
Victor grunts "Good enough for me" He chuckles as he moves twenty feet to the West, drawing closer to the snakes to bring himself between them and his companions. He then plants his feet and gets ready to stab the first snake that makes it into the range of his short spear.
Readying attack action. Currently equipped with my shield and short spear.

Turn 38 (2 of 6) round 1
Tierist spots the goblin snakes some 70’ down the passageway ahead of you and raises the alarm, then begins to check if his shoes are tied, remembers that his shoes have buckles, and ends up not doing anything until after everyone else has acted
Berenwyr sends the Dancing Lights down the passageway to illuminate the approaching monsters, draws an arrow and waits for the right moment to fire,
as you did not cast the spell this round, let’s have you roll a d4 to establish how many rounds the spell will continue to work (10 – what you roll)
Victor moves forward (to C, -7), and waits for the monsters to approach,
This is a Ready, a standard action to ready another standard action, a melee attack, as soon as a monster is in reach, when Victor attacks his Initiative will be changed to 15 (effectively it is 16, but he goes after the Monsters)
Jerrica moves in behind Victor (to C, -6) and gives him a pat on the…shoulder for Good Luck
The Goblin-snakes slither forward quickly and when they are close enough, Berenwyr lets the arrow fly. It strikes the Goblin-snake on the right in the lower abdomen, and the monsters sways from the impact, but continues on (coming to stop in square C, -9) and then, out of reach of Victor it lunges, and tries to bite him
Bite Bite!: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 2 = 18
Vs. AC 20
Damage if a hit: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
The other Goblin-snake moves forward (coming to stop in square C, -8) within reach of Victor
Victor can attack
As Victor attacks the second Goblin-Snake it belches out a toxic cloud
Victor must make a Fortitude save, DC 13, or be sickened for d6 rounds, but only after he resolves his attack.
Then Teirist thinks of something magnificent to do.
Victor Hancock |
Victor stabs forward with his shortspear, attempting to thrust it into the snake standing in front of him.
To Hit: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (19) + 5 = 24
To Hit (luck): 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
(take best)
Damage: 1d6 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
He then notices the fumes starting to creep into his lungs and pull his shield closer to him in habit as he tries to hold his breath against the toxic cloud.
Fort: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 vs. 13
Teirist |
Teirest wonders why his readied action doesn't work, but decides it's not worth it. Attacking the Goblin-Snake 1 Unless it is dead, then he'll attack Number 2 with his hand crossbow.
"Eww that snake just belched on Victor. Poor form!
Hand Crossbow attack of doom!: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (11) + 5 = 16
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 2
Terquem |
okay, so even though you wanted to ready an action, technically, you aren't allow to use a standard action to ready an action until your turn in the initiative order comes up, yeah stoopid, I know
The Goblin-snake that lunged at Victor has taken 10 points of damage, from an arrow. The second Goblin-snake has taken 4 points of damage from Victor's spear. Teirist's attack is assumed to be against Goblin-snake #1, bringing the damage to it to 12
Berenwyr |
dancing lights duration: 10 - 1d4 ⇒ 10 - (2) = 8 rounds remaining.
Berenwyr takes aim and fires once more at the arrow-riddled goblin snake.
shortbow attack: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (6) + 3 = 9
damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Turn 38 (2 of 6) round 2
Teirist’s bolt strikes near where Berenwyr’s arrow is already lodge, and the monster doubles over from the pain, then as it is straightening itself out to lunge again, another arrow flies over the monster's head. It slithers forward five feet, and adds its attacks to the second Goblin-snake's attacks against Victor
The first Goblin-snake (hp 1), bites at Victor
Bite Bite!: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Vs. AC 20
Damage if a hit: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
The second Goblin-snake (hp 9), bites at Victor again
Bite Bite!: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 2 = 8
Vs. AC 20
Damage if a hit: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (2) + 3 = 5
Victor Hancock |
Victor easily throws his shield in the way of the bites, the goblin-snakes catching a face full of steel wall. "Well these aren't much of a challenge." He looks back over his shoulder to Jerrica, "Don't think I needed your luck after all"
He then thrusts gives a grunt and thrusts forward with his short spear at the second Goblin-snake (hp 9).
Power Attack to hit: 1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 5 - 1 = 11
Luck: 1d20 + 5 - 1 ⇒ (2) + 5 - 1 = 6
Damage: 1d6 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 3 + 2 = 10
Edit: Ha! Spoke too soon!
Teirist |
Attack: 1d20 + 5 - 4 ⇒ (4) + 5 - 4 = 5
Damage: 1d4 ⇒ 1
Tierest reloads his crossbow and fires at the second snake.
I forgot to take my melee negative on the last attack.
Berenwyr |
Berenwyr drops his bow and draws his longsword as he charges the remaining goblinsnake.
charging melee: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (19) + 2 + 2 = 23
crit confirm: 1d20 + 2 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 2 + 2 = 11
damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3
crit damage: 1d8 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2
Victor Hancock |
Victor chuckles as the last snake falls, relaxing out of his fighting stance. He drops his shield to his side and looks at the others. "Well that wasn't too bad at all." He says, noticing nobody was bit.
Victor then starts to walk further down the hall to the west, continuing on their excursion into the dark. "Glad to see you all can take care of yourselves. Unlike most elves I have known" he says with a smirk.
Also, what did my xp start out as? I need to know what to add 200 to
Berenwyr |
Berenwyr wipes down his sword and sheathes it before searching the beasts for treasure and regathering his bow. Well, someone had to dispatch them, and frankly, I wouldn't waste a glimmer of arcane power on such base creatures. That being said, he recasts dancing lights to refresh the duration, and then casts detect magic once more, always on the hunt for a stray dweomer or aura.
Ok, xp at 1500 of 3300 to level 3.

Turn 39 (3 of 6)
at the end of this turn there will be a check for a WME
After travelling 120’ down the western passageway, you discover a Chamber on the left (to the south) accessed by a 10’ wide opening in the wall. It is a 20’ x 40’ chamber (extending 40’ to the south and being 20’ wide east to west).
Berenwyr |
Berenwyr listens for any strange sounds.
perception: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26
If he does not hear anything, he recasts dancing lights and sends the torches around to illuminate the new chamber.
I'm guessing we didn't find any loot on the goblin snakes.
Terquem |
Turn 39 (3 of 6)
Peering around the corner you see a chamber that is 20’ wide (east to west) and 40’ long (north to south). In the south east corner of the chamber it appears as though the floor has given way and there is a natural pool. The pool is 5’ x 10’, and is fed by a trickle of water from the ceiling in several places. Beside the pool there appears to be a large pile of bones.
About half way down each of the long walls (the east and west walls) there is a single door.
Berenwyr |
Did the rest of you hear rattling, like bones striking one another? Berenwyr whispers. Best be careful, there might be a hidden danger.
monster lore: kn(religion): 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (7) + 8 = 15

Victor Hancock |
Victor turns back to look at the others, "From the sounds of it, probably my ex-wife back to collect her alimony" He gives a mockingly terrified look before turning back towards the room. "Well, how do we want to do this? Charge in like we own the joint or do you guys have a better plan?" The large man holds his shield at the ready, his shortspear in the other hand, a bit of goblin-snake blood still wetting the end of it.
