We, all of us, will take turns generating the Dungeon. And to begin, I would like the four players to roll off to determine what order you will roll in (roll a d20, no modifiers). I will make the first roll, on Table I and describe the Dungeon Starting Area, as soon as I get the Discussion and Game Threads created (which might be today). I might even put some of the tables in the Campaign Information section so players can see what is being generated and how.
Also, one of the more interesting results of the original random encounter tables was the chance to encounter another adventuring party! And if you, the fine players already here, are not against this, I may ask other people to generate “enemy” parties, should this kind of encounter occur.

Experience and Leveling You will earn experience points based on a formula that is a hybrid of the AD&D first edition system and the current Pathfinder rules (you will gain experience for defeating monsters, collecting treasures, innovative game play choices, and role playing). When your characters level, you may immediately modify Hit Points, Saving Throws, Skills, and Attack statistics, but any acquisition of new Spells, Feats, Skills will require interaction outside of the dungeon, and money spent. (A wizard can try to copy a spell into her spell book while in the “A” dungeon, as long as the party is willing to comply with the down time required).

Guessing by the grognard* flavor (ten minute turns!) that acquisition of higher level cleric spells will require a return to a holy site (ie temple) and communion with church elders. Older editions XP only made the possibility of leveling up available. Actually gaining the level meant time out training and spending money. I even recall an adventure where we ticked two or three levels in the dungeon before we had to fall back to train and advance.
1d20 ⇒ 8 Good good, let's get those weak rolls out now.
* Used as a term of affection in this case.

I am reopening this recruitment on a rather sad note. One of the best players I’ve dealt with so far,
Playing Berenwyr the Elven Wizard
Seems to have vanished from the boards, and he was an integral part of the team
I’d like to keep this game alive and so I am asking for new recruits.
Players interested in joining this game will be able to create a 4th level character.
I am looking for a Wizard, and the initial racial limitations still apply. Ability scores are still a 24 point build, with no ability score below 12 after application of racial modifiers. Starting gold will be 3000 gold pieces for this character.
If I can get a new Wizard for the party, I will look at additional players wanting to join the game

Ballar's player has suggested that I apply.
I am a long time and quite active poster on the PBP boards, who has a good grasp of the Pathfinder rules.
Feel free to peruse some of my aliases to get a feel for my posting style and quality.
Kip Bendybrook, Nim or Durin Stonehammer are three of my most current characters.
Playing a wizard would be no problem.
Thank you in advance for your consideration.

I have some idea having perused the gameplay thread quickly. :)
I worked up a wizard on my computer at home last night. Other than spending his wealth and giving him a name he is pretty much ready to go.
I can have him up later today.
A couple of questions... when you say "all core rules" do you mean all official Pathfinder books or just the core rulebook itself? How are HP being handled? Is a background story required?
That's all for the moment.
Cheers

Actually, Lord oKOyA's questions went through my mind as well. Here's what I wondered, and though it looks like you've got a team again, it might not hurt to get some answers out there...you know...just in case:
1) Class: literally the four, or something that serves the four (like paladin/ranger/monk for fighter or sorcerer for wizard)
2) Race: core only, or are any other paizo books allowed (which)
3) Class: core only, or are any other paizo books allowed (which)
4) Feats: core only, or are any other paizo books allowed (which)
5) Spells: core only, or are any other paizo books allowed (which)
6) Skills: core only, or are any other...wait, are there other skills?
7) Items(both magic and mundane): core only, or are any...you know
8) Nachos: core only, or...er, I mean, do I really have to eat them?
Have fun Lord oKOyA! I'm rooting for you all!

1)Literally the four, and only if those four are filled will I consider alternatives (strangely enough we had a fighter, who left the game, and I did not recruit a replacement, since Jim was doing such a good job "getting into" the game).
2)-7) I prefer, for this game to keep everything pinned down to the PRD that is available here at Paizo (so that includes a lot of other sources, beyond just the "Core" rule book. I don't like d20psfrd site material as there are computers I use that are allergic to that site).
8)Buddy, you're gonna be exposed to nachos, nacho dust, nacho grease, nacho blow by, nacho drive by, and every other kind of nacho product conceivable, that Dwarf even has the elves begging for more

Sorry I keep asking questions. Right now I'm on page 13 of the little adventure (I don't know if I jumped ahead or not, sometimes I feel a "blip", but I can't tell if that's just me or if it's the dialogue), and I have a question.
Berewyr mentioned crafting scrolls. What are your rules with regards to crafting magic items (and mundane, although it seems everyone's at a level now where buying mundane stuff is just plain easier)? Wondrous Items is available, so I thought I'd ask.
This is one weird adventure going on right now...
Terquem
The party can exit the dungeon any time (that they are not engaged in a struggle for their lives at least), and the city of Du'Orbna has the resources necessary to accommodate the crafting of items, as well as the making of potions and scrolls. It is only up to the party to decide how long they will stay out of the dungeon to do these tasks, and if they decide that is what they want to do, I'll make something up, or do the proper homework so that the times required to make these things is taken into account.
Billy Mann
Billy Mann, almost ready. Will finish up and move the stuff over to the alias.
How about a ranger with a bow, who just might wade in to mix it up. May be.
Oh, and a pet cat fluffy.
Speaking of which, a few more questions:
1) I was planning on getting Boon Companion at level 5, so that pet fluffy gets REALLY fluffy. Any special work to train her up when we make level 5?
2) Fluffy's at 2d8 HP right now. Do I take her at 11 HP? (9 + conx2 for being 2HD)
3) Happy birthday! Oh, wait, that's not a question...
Rolling for Billy's HP for L4: 1d10 ⇒ 4
Billy Mann
Billy has many questions, it seems. Here's a couple more:
What to do about Perception/Intuition:
1) I assume rangers, as a divine magic user (and a fighter type to boot) now gets Intuition as well?
2) Fluffy is growling unhappily, and may speak for all animals of low INT. Do animals get intuition now as a class skill? This still messes with the animals with a perception bonus, but Fluffy will happily prey on the now less observant other animals, since she doesn't have any such bonuses to worry about.
3) Oops, one more: Do all perception boosting spells now have an alternate casting that boosts intuition instead? That is, when a caster casts a spell that affects perception in some way, can they now choose to have it affect intuition instead? (Not for Billy, since he's still taking perception, but it may affect others...like the Nacho guy for example)
By the way, I noticed Jim Seeker has 4 ranks in Intuition and 1 more in Sense Motive. You may want to consider moving that extra point somewhere else.

Okay let me try to answer
I haven’t applied any “in game” details to control training, and character builds/changes. When (if?) you survive to level 5, you can just use some of the Handwavium you can buy from local vendors
You can give Fluffy Max HP (most of my monsters have above average HP)
Yes, yes it was a happy birthday
Rangers have Intuition as a Class Skill
Fluffy will have Perception as a Class Skill (and if you would like, I can run Fluffy as an NPC, as I used to run Mister Doctor Jasper Helispont)
An Intuition boosting spell should exist…
When your characters are ready, please introduce them in the discussion thread, I'll grab a token of them and adjust the map accordingly, maybe we'll be ready to fight monkeys soon
Billy Mann
Please do grab Fluffy! I'll mosey over to the discussion thread, and let me know if I need to adjust anything else. Billy used all his gold, so there's not much else for him to do at the moment...
Please note the character sheet is now slightly outdated. I updated everything on the alias. I'll go back and freshen up the sheet when I get a chance, but the alias now should be where the most up to date information resides.
PS: Fluffy's perception would've been +1 without a skill point and +5 with a skill point prior to the houserule. Post houserule Fluffy's Perception is now -5 without a skill point, and -1 with a skill point. I think this hit shows up in most of the animals because of the -5 to -6 INT modifier as opposed to the +1 WIS modifier.
Anyway...Fluffy likes Handwavium. Especially on her belly.

Sounds fun. Will you guys help me understand the rules if I am accepted. I read some of the game thread and I like the humor. Do you guys want a rogue or fighter? I may randomly roll the character in the spirit of the game. What is the starting wealth? Anything you guys would like to see in a new character? Ring of Sustenance-Nacho Cheese version?
Terquem
Well, the rules are basically the Pathfinder rules (for game play) and an extensive document with a list of random tables and a flow chart that helps us build the dungeon as we play. We take turns (randomly who ever is available at the time) to roll various d20's and explore a crazy dungeon that results from the rolls.
You can look at the top of this page, and see a link to the "appendix A" Document, a word document that has all the tables. It was derived from the Appendix A in the 1977 edition of the Dungeon Master's Guide (1e AD&D).
You'll be making a 4th level character, a fighter or a rogue (keep it simple) with a 24 point build.
I'll let you know how much starting wealth you have to spend if you decide to join.
