The Auroches eye Grenwold but make no moves to get near the feed while he's around.

Robert's arrow flies over the head of the redcap. Grenwold swings his glaive too high and misses, while Hedran stumbles on a jutting rock and smacks the stairwell instead, while Nigel's staff blow is parried by the redcap.

There's no place for Fenton to be adjacent to you and still threaten. Hedran took that spot.
Grenwold rides Fenton around, then hops off Fenton and cuts at the redcap with Fenton's help distracting it. It dodges Fenton's attempt to gore him.
Robert shoots at the redcap, but he is trying not to hit Ratel and the arrow goes too high.

The redcap dodges Hedran's swing, and Ratel's scizore strike and though it is struck by Ratel's shield bash, it does not seem affected by it. Bear's claws and teeth do not penetrate its skin.

Nigel clubs the redcap and it collapses onto the ground. Finishing the redcap off, the party finds a medium scythe on the redcap and a suit of small sized leather armor.
Basic tanning supplies, such as short knives and flensing boards, are lined up against the north wall and hidden by the strips of hobgoblin skin, on the weapon rack, Grenwold finds a black cold iron shortspear, which Hedran identifies it as a +1 cold iron shortspear.
Father Noelan manages to recover 3 of the arrows he shot. Deduct 2 cold iron arrows off your inventory

"Thanks for the prayer Father, but I don't know how long I'll be much help like this. Should I use a potion or can someone use a wand to get me combat ready?"

When Grenwold returns to check on the Auroches, they're happily munching on his provided feed, and this time allow him to stroke them. Grenwold leads them into the courtyard where they munch around on the grasses, but they stay some distance away from the Basidirond, and the Korred bodies, discomforted by the smell of blood.

The wooden floor of this large room is slick with blood. Three mostly flayed hobgoblin corpses are lashed to wooden tables and four dead redcaps lie on the floor. On one of the tables is a bloodstained basket. Stairs lead up and down on the south wall, and arrow slits pierce the north and west walls.
A DC 10 Acro check is required to run or charge across the floor in this room.
As the party investigates the bloodstained basket, a small redcap jumps up from under the table to attack the party, with a bloodcurdling howl.

He adds, "Normally I'd say foes of hobgoblins could be potential allies, but if they would treat their own this way, probably not."

A few bunks in this room have been pushed together and their mattresses ripped and stacked to make a rudimentary nest next to a table stacked with undercooked venison and half-full cups of wine. Arrow slits in each wall provide a view of the fort and the surrounding forest. A staircase descends along the southern wall and there is a large trapdoor on the ceiling. In the room is another redcap and a foul-smelling, fluiding oozing scaly skin squat, powerful vaguely canine beast.
The redcap states, "You're in my tower. Leave this place, and I'll turn a blind eye to your intrusion."
