"If we encounter more hobgoblins or any other hostile creatures, try to stay out of the way. Wouldn't want you to get hurt."

Carthas is ready to move out with the others.

:: Lamashan 15 - Night Fall - Forest ::

Vardalel nods to Carthas, "O' course I'll stay well outta the way and let you deal with them" As it becomes apparent that the group intends to move out right away, Vardalel quickly finds some remnants of gear and uses a cloak to form a make shift back pack. He slings an ax over his shoulder, puts a long knife on his belt and grabs a long stout walking stick. "If we're headed out at night, best to be prepared."

Carthas and Nyakala slowly head out in the front, guiding the group to the northeast. After about another hour the sun sinks to the horizon leaving the forest in a deep darkness.

"Maybe we want to stop here for the night?" Vardalel says. You can feel the efforts of the day catching up to you as a weariness sets in.

I need Fort saves if you want to continue through the night.

Nyakala's misgivings about bringing Vardalel are somewhat assuaged by his preparations.

Later...
"Yes, we should make camp," Nyakala says. "A hobgoblin patrol is more likely to get the drop on us at night."

Annelise shrugs as their new companion joins them. She's not sure what to make of him, or if he can be trusted, but it's not like her companions would be willing to send him into the forest on his own. As the night falls, she agrees with Nyakala. "They can see in the dark and we can't. Let's find a place to hide up until morning."

After a sound but chill night, you wake to a frost filled morning. Vardalel is slow to rise, still recovering from his ordeal, but doesn't slow the group down.

As you head off in the morning, about three hours into the day you come across the smell of smoke, and a few minutes later you find a cool pile of ashes and evidence of three or four human sized sleeping areas.

Seeing that Lyndis' spell is keeping the two hobgoblins to the left effectively incapacitated for the time being, Nyakala turns her attention to the other two engaging her compatriots in melee. She hurls a glob of dark mist at the less wounded hobgoblin, which attempts to surround their head and block their vision.

Casting blindness (DC 16) on Red.

On the left flank, Annelise and Lyndis continue to hurl the elements at their foes. Sheets of fire and sprayed acid cover the area.

On the right flank, Carthas kills one hobgoblin with his spear while the elemental strikes the other one. Nyakala hurls darkness at the one left standing, but it avoids having its head wrapped in it.

The hobgoblins on the left remain blind while trying to back away. The hobgoblin on the right flank swings its blade at the fire elemental again striking it in its core. I believe the fire elemental is at 7 wounds after taking 40 damage total and needs to make a DC 18 fort save or fall unconsious.

Seeing that the fire elemental is in difficulties, Annelise dismisses it with a wave of her hand, before giving in to old temptations and summoning something - different.

The ground bubles and boils with a stink of sulphur as a lemure erupts from teh ground. It lashes out at the nearest hobgoblin with its claws.

The hobgoblin on the right flank falls before your horrendous onslaught. With everyone except for Elyas and Annelise attacking him, the hobgoblin is unable to keep up with the assault and fall dead from the blows.

On the left flank Lyndis hits the scout with more acid, burning it.
